The rewards of single-player mode

Yes, this game is designed for multi-player, and yes, you can spend all night playing it with your friends. But to get all that you can from it, you will have to play the single player modes, especially if you want to unlock all of the characters.

One of the most uniqe parts of the game are the event matches. Each event match provides its own challenge. For example, in one, you have two fight to sets of ice climbers, and only defeat the rear one with out defeating either of the front ones. In another, you control Yoshi who is trying to defend an egg from three other characters, until the time runs out. (I succeeded in doing it by grabbing the egg and avoiding all of the other characters, but it was still VERY hard.) And if you hate Mario, there is a Mario 128 match (which you can reach by clearing most of the early matches..) In this one, you have to defeat 128 mini-marios, that one is just fun.

There are characters and stages to unlock. For the most dedicated players, you can unlock the oldest Nintendo character of all...Mr.Game and Watch. (Remeber those handhelds from the pre-nes days?) The only thing that could make it better would be to have the final boss in adventure mode to reflect the character that you played it through with.

Oh my God. I played this game for ten minutes, and I couldn't believe all the things you can do. There is so much play variety, you could play this game for years and still find new things to do. This is a MUST BUY!! If you only buy one game for "The Cube", this is IT! In fact, buy it right now.

Don't be fooled by Amazon's "You Save 22.50" This game is a player's choice, I picked it up in a retail chain for $19.98, don't be ripped off, if I can find it cheaper, so can you.

I got it with my 'Cube, for my birthday, and I've been playing it ever since.
It's one of those rare few that are AWESOME at first, and get a lot better as you acquire new items (in this case, characters, lands, trophies, All Star mode, and 42 new Event Matches) In my opinion, it's the greatest game of all time, and will be until the new one, Brawl, comes out. This franchise was pretty much perfect with the original, Super Smash Bros. for the N64, and has only gotten better as it has progressed. You can have a lot of fun in your first battle, and with 10 Event matches, the original characters and stages (they're all from previous Nintendo games) and Classic and Adventure modes, or on your ten billionth battle with more characters, stages, and modes. A GREAT one-player game, and an even-better
multiplayer. It was well worth $50 when new, and $30 is maybe even too little for such a game.

This is perhaps the most fun multiplayer game ever. Play as mewtwo,pichu, peach, donkey kong, ice-climbers, Mr.Game and Watch, Mario, Dr.Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Link, Zelda, Capt. Falcon, Ganondorf and so many more. A total of 25 playable nintendo characters in the game makes this game have such a good variety. There are over a BILLION things to unlock.Maybe not that much but about a thousand. Thats still alot.

GAMEPLAY - 10/10
REPLAYABILITY- 10/10
OVERALL - 9.5/10

If you have a cube, this is a must buy game.

This game is so updated, Packed, detailed and fun! So many new characters, stages and features, the original super smash looks like something a caveman made! Super geniuses made this game, more characters,modes,stages, I wish there were Infinity stars!

if u were thinking of buying this game, please do. this game has about 12 secret characters. Its not like the old one where u just have to beat the game to get secret characters, u have to beat the game eith certian characters. EXAMPLE: if u beat the game with mario u will get luigi, beat it with link, get ganondorf....and so on. get this game if u want the full thrust of the nintendo GAMECUBE.

I think everyone will agree when I say that this is the best game ever! Even though they cut Luigi and jigglypuff from the lineup (I think),I bet this game will be in every house with a gamecube. I went to one of the Nintendo Cube Club events and got to play it, one word to describe it...SWEET!!!!! I own the original and play it all the time, I'm really good. I don't know what I'm going to do until this mindblowing game comes out.
