lets just say this... this game should b awesome i just saw the preview of this game 2day on extended play on t.v. nd it looks GREAT! its like star wars rouge sqaudren 2 for gamecube but instead of fling in space ur battling on ground. u can pick from vehicles like a simple speeder bike to a tank that shoots missles. the best part of this game is that u don't have 2 ride in a vehicle u can walk on ground and wack at things wit ur light saber. the levels are huge that includes 16 mission spread over 8 planets. over all i can't wait for this game 2 come out.

Disappointed once again

To put it plainly, The Clone Wars is a big disappointment (For some reason Rogue Squadron 2 is a better game even though it's older). Lucasarts clearly failed to live up to the hype and potential of this game. The graphics in the game are stunning and breathtaking (the amount of things on the screen at one time is awesome! Too bad you can't destroy it all)but the gameplay and story are very weak (which is two thirds of the game). I was expecting to be able to take control of the entire battlefield in great battle sequences and destroy every enemy vehicle and droid. Instead you can only control your own vehicle and only give orders to two other supporting units. You have no freedom over the map where you wish to go and the game is way too simple. Usually lucasarts games are a challenge but this doesn't even come close. The cutscenes are extremely cheesy and the voice overs sound nothing like the characters from the movies. Some of the missions are extremely stupid as well (How do you fight an entire battle on the back of a big lizard and win? It doesn't make any sense to me). This game needed the freedom and tactical missions of Jungle Strike. This game resembles no war. If you are interested in this game go and rent it first. I am returning my copy. It does nothing to expand the player's view of the star wars universe. Wait for Bounty Hunter and Jedi Outcast 2. They promise to be much better titles (hopefully).

Underwhelming

I've been anticipating this game, and I got excited when positive reviews began to trickle in from various publications. Upon playing this game, however, every positive feeling I had got flushed down the toilet. First off, the graphics are very poor; for being on a next-generation console they are substandard to say the least. I expected better. There is a LOT of slowdown as well, probably due to the number of things going on at once. How is the gameplay you ask?? Equally as dreadful. Driving the vehicles is nothing more than wandering around and hammering the 'a' button as quickly as possible. To add variety, you also have missiles!! Woo! That is the extent of the vehicles stages. (Think 'Star Wars: Demolition'). There is no strategy or skill involved at all, unfortunately. So then you get out on foot, to do hand-to-hand combat with your poorly drawn character. You'd think that in this day and age that programmers could improve upon 'Jedi Power Battles'. Sadly, in this game, they regressed. Again, the 'a' button swings your lightsaber. There are no combos, and none of the other buttons affect how you swing the lightsaber. So it's basically mashing the 'a' button the whole time, although they added a 'force push' and a special move to make the Jedi levels only 97% monotonous. The good things: the game DOES resemble the movie, and the music in the game is first rate. If you are an unabashed Ep II fan and loved all the previous SW games... then you may enjoy this title. If you are actually interested in an a good SW game, check out 'Jedi Outcast'(and Rogue Leader for those of you living in caves).

Awsome Game Simply

This awsome game has combined three things no other Star Wars game has before. It has an arsinal of unique craft you play as, it has multyiplayer in a Rouge Leader style (except on the ground), and it has individual Jedi play. It's simply just awsome. And the cuts scenes will blow your socks off. The overall story needs some work though. But my favorite part is the multiplayer. It's simlply awsome!

Rent it

This a great star wars video game. The gameplay is simple and adictive. I rented star wars clone wars from blockbuster and played all night beat it and returned it the next day.
Star wars clone wars is like rouge leader. But you don't get to pic your space craft. The missions are sweet. On some missions you have to protect convoys on others you blast evrything in sight. There's lots of movie clips to watch. But best of all you can watch them later in the options menu.
The story is you fight in the clone wars and destroy the dark side. The charters you are very from obei one, mace windou, and anikin sky walker. there lots of other goodies in the game too but i don't want to spiol the game.
There is no need to buy this game if you have a block buster in your town[ sorry on the spelling].

An 8-year old's perspective: It's really, really good!

This game is really fun. I was able to get very far in the game in just 3 days. The first 3 levels are really easy. But then they start to get harder. Sometimes it's hard to get your aiming on the target. It's fun to see what different weapons the vehicles have. It's fun in some levels because you can make your partner shoot at something. The secondary weapons are really handy. The orders they give you are sometimes hard. It's fun because some vehicles have extra features like speed boost and shields. It's really fun to fly the ships around like the Republic Gunship. Clone Wars has really good graphics. If you're a Star Wars fan, I highly recommend this game!

LucasArts has done it again!

I have been waiting for this game since mid-July, and I think that it was worth the wait. This game is a must have for all Star Wars fans out their. It has an exellent combination of outstanding graphics, a great story line, intense battles, and a variety of vehicles to control. It also has a feature that most star wars games lack, a multiplayer mode. Two levels in multiplayer are similar to the endurance level in rouge leader. This game has it all. Even if your not a star wars fan, this game is still a lot of fun. LucasArts has once again lived up to it's name.

A Great Single and Muliplayer Game!

This game is great game! The single-player mode a little short, but the action is fun while it lasts. The multiplayer is the even better, there are four different, very fun, types of multiplayer game play. The story that the game unfolds is like something you would see in the movies! I think you should get this game ASAP!

The Clone Wars are just plain boring.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan, and I pretty much have ever game with Star Wars in the title. After Rouge Squadron II on the GameCube, I couldn't wait for The Clone Wars, which can roughly be described as Rougue Squadron on the ground. While the graphics are amazing, the game play that has made so many Star Wars games fun to play was lacking in this game in my opinion. The single player missions are fun, and the difficulty on Jedi Knight is extremely tough. I just didn't get into the game. I did not like the ground based fighting game and only found fun flying. The times when you are a Jedi are laughable. If one has played Jedi Knight II, on PC, they will understand what I mean. The multiplayer is absolutely horrible. I played it with 3 of my friends and after 10 minutes, we played something else, due to the lack of entertainment and fun. If you are a hardcore Star Wars fan, you'll probably like it, if you are a gamer looking for a challenge with great multiplayer capabilties, get Time Splitters 2, and pass on this game.

Beat it in two days, I just played 4 hours in total

Ithought this was gonna be the best Star Wars game ever, I thought this was gonna be so cool but I was very disappointed in the plot of the game. You basically have to do the same, shoot, shoot, and fire rockets. The explotions are great and some of the scenarios are amazing, what I didnt like is that it was way to short. Oh almost forgot when you use the jedis it really hard to move them around.
As for me Im gonna return it, I suggest you rent it first and if you like well...... do what ever u want. Oh... The Multiplayer thing is very cool Id say thats the best thing it has. In conclusion it doesnt surpass the other Star Wars games.
