Star Trek Elite Force II is as good as the first Elite Force.
I am glad that it takes place right after Voyager Comes home to the Alpha Quadrant. I think the graphics are excellent.
I have spent a few hours a day playing it trying to get farther
than the day before,if I ever finish playing it to the end
I would start all over again and replay because In my opinon
I think that has replayability. The only thing that is wrong with the game it would have been nice to at least have Riker, Worf, and Data take part in the game. But they had Tuvok return and take temporary assignment aboard the Enterprise, which is ok.
Other than that I still give it 5 stars. I highly recommend
this to any Star Trek Fan and fans of first Person shooter games.
Why did they drop the female character?

I have just cancelled my order for Elite Force II. I read the
website descriptions of the game and found out that you cannot
choose the sex of the main character. If the creators of this
"sequel" wish to market to only men, fine. I'm not a man.
Alexandra Munro needs to be placed back into the program.
DO NOT waste your money

Although I am trekkie and purchased this game with high hopes, I was immensely disappointed. The only positive thing I can say about the game is that most of the graphics are impressive. (One notable exception: when characters' lips move when they are talking, it looks ridiculous and unrealistic.) Every other aspect of the game is horrendous. Gameplay is very slow, and you spend a lot of time just watching events unfold, in sickeningly slow speed, on the screen. The game even manages to make battles boring--you just instruct your tactician, with a series of mouse clicks, to attack, and he fires at the enemy ship for a good five minutes until it blows up. This relegates you to the role of observer rather than participant, which makes for a boring experience. Also, you do not have the ability to save during a mission, so if you make a mistake and fail a mission, you are doomed to repeat the entire boring experience. I strongly recommend against this game.
When will it actually be sent to me???

I've played already the "Armada 1" game and I enjoyed it very much but it had many problems in subjects like: graphicks, interface and bugs.
From the info that I read in the syte of "Armada 2" the improvmentsare very extensive:
the gameplay is now in complete 3D, the bugs were minimized and solved, the campaigns are now far bigger and more detailed(9 missions per race), you have two times more ships than in 'Armada 1"(very iportent-you w'ontget board from the game) and the graphics is now really beautiful.
There are also several good things in armada 2 that you won't find in any other strategy game like:
1. many subsistems to asingle ship (life-support, engines, sensors, weapons and shilds). 2. crew in yoar starships (no crew no starship). 3. very large differnses between the races and their capabilitis.

This game is similar to the original Half-Life in gameplay. There are few bugs, and gameplay is smooth. Missions and storyline are interesting. Game is also fairly long. Con: gets old after a while. Overall, a pretty good game, especially for Star Trek.
Sequels are better? Wrong!

I got Elite Force II 'bout a couple of months after it came out. I had previously tried the demo on Windows ME but the mouse cursor was so slow. Now I have the real game and these are the pros and cons of the game.
Pros:
-Good Graphics
Cons:
-Where's Voyager?
-Very Slow
-Hard play
I thought this game would be based on ST: Voyager, but I was wrong! The only Voyager characters that they have is Tuvok and Barclay, which does not really count. Just throw this game away and get Star Trek Voyager Elite Force on PC or it's expansion pack.
This game pulls you in and does not disappoint

I love first person shooters. I happen to also enjoy Star Trek. Does this profile match yours? If so, go get this game...now! I had my doubts. Reading endlessly through reviews of games in magazines and online, I have seen other games that reviewers shove down my throat about being worth my hard earned dollar. This game was installed in the mid afternoon and it's nearly tomorrow. After so many recent purchases that turned out to cost more and just disappoint, I can honestly say that I will play this game until I've beaten it. Now, as far as replay value, this game does not top my charts, but very few single player games do. The multiplayer on this is fun, but if you want multiplayer buy Unreal Tournament. This game is based off of the tried and true Quake III engine, but don't let that fool you. Its visuals are on par with Rainbow Six III: Ravenshield.
Take home message: If you want to play a first person shooter that draws you in because of what's happening all around you, has familiar handling, involves the star trek universe, and you either can't wait or have the money to spend before half-life 2 is released, this is the game you want to get.
Might be good, but beware!

Somthing they do not -ever- state in the manual or the box (read both, cover - to - cover, is that you MUST have Microsoft Game Voice in order to use this. Which requires an ADDITIONAL [$$] purchase. If you have it to spare, go ahead for the thrill of commanding a starship with your voice. Otherwise, I most heartily reccomend Star Trek: Starfleet Command II: Empires at War.
Finally a game for true hardcore Star Trek fans!

As a big Star Trek fan I was very hyped about this game for a long time and after finally buying it, I must say that it is almost everything I expected it to be. It's hard to please a fan such as me that knows all the little details about star trek but I think Totally Games has definitely did an amazing job with Bridge Commander in making it authentic in most areas. Despite a few minor inconsistencies, it is a very accurate re-creation of how things are done on the bridge of a starship.
There were only a couple of dissapointments I have so I'll get them out of the way first. The biggest is that the graphics although looking spectacular sometimes, look kind of bad in other areas (close ups on some stations and blocky body models). I have a midrange system with a GeForce 2 64MB MX400 and 200MB RAM....more than enough to run this game well. Yet moving around the bridge is choppy and the framerate drops dramatically with more than 3 vessels in the area at once. I was dissapointed by this because the game should have been programmed a lot better than this because my system should be able to run it very fast, but it appears that you'll only get this game running good if you've parted with a big wade of cash for a high end GeForce 3 or 4!
My other complaint is that saving is only allowed once u complete a mission. So if you fail halfway through u have to start all over again and watch the same cutscenes over and over. That's not fun at all, TRUST ME.
If you can get over these noticable flaws (and u probably will), then there lies a truly unique style of game here but only star trek fans will really appreciate all it's authenticity and atmosphere but I can assure you, it is unlike anything you've ever played before and I highly recommend this game to anyone with a powerful PC who loves star trek. And if you love star trek and don't have a powerful PC, you might want to consider upgrading :)
