EA has ruined the Bond franchise as far as I am concerned. Don't be confused that since it shares a name with the 1996 Goldeneye title for the N64 that it is good.

First off lets establish one thing about this game, that you are supposedly a bad guy. But instead of doing bad guy things like robbing banks and blowing up things that make civilians tremble and fear you, you just go around fighting Dr. No another bad guy. So in reality you are just a pseudo goodguy.

The entire point of the game is to run from point A to point B killing a legion of bad guys with the same four guns. The levels are long and legnthy and often hideously pointless, because as I've established before you don't do anything except escape or get to point B. Classic Doom is more fun then this.

So if your thinking about buying this game - Don't save yourself the money and treat yourself to a body piercing in a sensitive place, as it will be more enjoyable then playing this game.

my first gun game, compared to others, its the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best when friends are over. First of all, I am a huge Bond fan. It hurt me very much not to give this game 5 stars. Why? Because this game doesn't have the depth the other games had. No driving. No submarine cars like in Nightfire. Just shooting. And as much as a I love shooters, and the dual-wield system, it really does get dull. And I've only had the game for a day and I only have 2 more levels to go. It gets easy, the hard, then easy again. However the graphics rule. Last time I checked, other games that came out recently *cough Halo 2 cough* didn't go into as much detail in the movies as giving the people pores and showing them sweat. But i really suggest you get this game. If anything, because very few games let you take hostages!!!

omg i love this game. i wrot a review for the ds if you also want to know me sight on that but anyway this game rocks. the graphics are great and people die realistic. if they fall and half there body hits a bof the wieght will shift and they fall off teh bocks. known as the rag doll effect. anyway the dual wield is fun. (use the mamba shotgun!!!!) you can pick up the desert eagle (aka jackle i ment to say that the other way but o well) and a sub machine gun or a rail gun or a shotgun or... you get the point. the multiplayer was fun andmaid me play for a looooooooooooooooooooooooong time with my friends.i will never stop playing this game. o hold up i am playing it know and i am about to throughe someone hold on... ok so great graphics and gameplay i give it

graphics 10/10 the shine like my quarter (sparkle sparkle 50 cents yay)
sound 9/10 go start up music and menu music.
gameplay 9/10 the single player is looooooooong for a mission but other wise its great
overall...22/10

Don't buy this game for multiplayer action

I just bought this game this week hoping to replace Agent Under Fire (the first James Bond for Game Cube) and the multiplayer game is terrible. I'm not the kind of person who writes reviews, let alone bad ones but this game in multiplayer mode is a joke. Here is what I found after playing the game for about 30 minutes (which is probably the last time I will play it): 1) The game is really slow (a lot slower than Agent Under Fire) and then on top of that when you get a big gun (like the rocket launcher) it is even slower, if that were possible. 2) The graphics are terrible, worse than the graphics on the N64 version of James Bond. 3) The multiplayer levels are horrible, they are all very small, very boring and some are completly out of place (like a wild west level?) 4) You can't cary more than one gun at a time! 5) You can't jump (which is a great defensive/offensive move).

If want to buy this game for single player action then I have no comment because I haven't played it single player. But if you want to buy this game for multiplayer action then don't, it's a total waste of $50.

hello...i just got this game for christmas i could not be happyer. im going to actually review this soo anyway the story is your some guy named goldeneye because u got shot in the eye by dr.no (nice name =P) so anyway then ur angry almost all the time and ur mean to ur vitims like u through them u blow'em up and stuff so u work for gold finger and u kill. thats about it.

the design though is truely amZING u get some insane models for guns, charictors, viechils and stuff. the textures are glossy and buitiful making evrey thing look exelent. there are also multiple ways through each level. it looks stunningly good especially on gamecube or x-box )ps2 is ok. still good but not as good.)
in the gamplay department u get standard single player which has GIGANTIc levels and massiv inviroments but also has a lot of duel wielding fun. u get cool weapons like the hs-90 (not the real name for it trust me) and the jackle (the desert eagle) and more. but u can put one in each hand for combat voilence umong word and shot'em whos boss. also taking hostages is nice.... but chuking them into walls, out of a bilding, into grinders are just some of the fun. multiplayer is extensive fun when u and 3 other buddies duke it out it a death match style gmes.its arena style multiplayer but it has some real skill involved.
over all i give it
story 8/10 its not very ingaging.
graphics and design 10/10 YA BABY ROCK ON ^_^

What's Bad About Being Evil?

OK, I know Goldeneye isn't coming out for another week or so. But I know it is going to be awsome. It can only be better than the original Goldeneye since game designers have had more than 5 years to perfect it. And with previous games like Nightfire and Everything or Nothing to build off of, what could be wrong? And the fact it has pretty good graphics and maybe some co-op can't be a con to this game. I mean honestly- haven't all Bond fans wondered what it would be like to kill Bond atleast once? Well now you can. With over 100 different weapon combinations, villain like gameplay, and the ability to take over the world, this game might not be Halo 2, but it will be one of 2004's greatest games for sure.

This looks like it's going to be the best

I didn't like the sounds of Goldeneye 2 at first but after seeing some previews,videos, and now new screens this game looks extremely fantastic. It has been in development since James Bond Nightfire EA said so it will be very solid by the time it comes out. I am actually getting really excited about this one now.

being a bad guy is cool. but being a bond villian will be awesome!!!! the graphics are great, and i cant wait to play it.

however, they shoudnt have named it goldeneye because some people will think its a sequel to the N64 classic.

still I'm going to pick it up and you should as well.

I know EA has been known for releasing mediocre Bond games, (Nightfire)but don't be fooled, this game rocks.
Pros:
First of all, Bond gets killed in the first 5 minutes of the game, and i'm sorry, that's just cool. Secondly, YOU'RE A GOOD GUY-TURNED BAD, which is friggin' awesome. Thirdly, Deathtraps and dual-wielding weapons are cool. Fourthly,The game is fun enough for hard-core vets and easy enough for newcomers. Fifthly, you're guy is so awesome, that his health regenerates over time. Sixthly, the character can use his mechanical eye for special purposes like throwing dudes, hacking, x-ray vision, and bullet-deflecting. Seventhly, you can take people hostage and throw them over guard rails.
Cons: First of all: NOT ENOUGH WEAPONS, Secondly, weapons seem overpowered in multiplayer.Thirdly, no bots for multiplayer. Fourthly: I just burnt my toast writing this stupid review and i'm now mad.
Overall: This game is awesome, so buy it, now, it's for all the systems so go to EB games and buy it.
