Anyone who plays the Sims often enough will be disappointed with this game, I believe. People who write reviews upon only playing the game once or twice can't give an accurate review. The new objects are great, of course. The new interactions are great as well. The pets? I can do without. And that's the basis of the game. Go figure.
Sometimes I'll instruct my character to play with the cat because its unhappy and she'll just stand there and look at it. It might be a bug, I'm not sure. Random strays on your property will come up to the character and "beg" her. Skunks make a mess of the place and every other day you need to call animal control to get rid of them. And the worst part: the strays will "stray" right into your house. A dog or cat will just walk in the door and start sniffing around. The character either has to keep the pet, or shoo it out of the house. Happens WAY too often (probably every other "Sim" day) and it gets to be annoying. I agree that the bugs should have been worked out before this version was released.
The only positives really are the bigger neighborhood, the "old" town that you can visit, the gardens that you can plant, and new interactions. I really could have done without the pets. They're just irritating.

This is a great expansion pack to have. This "pack" Allows you to have pets in your game, not just the normal aquarium. It is one of my favorite expansion packs yet!

Hi, I agree with everyone that has written something for the sims unleased. Mostly also agree with Terre Haute. They really should have another sims dealing with what Terre said. I also can not wait till it comes out. Some people say that its a waste of money but i dont think so.

To all you SIMS player's , woohooooo its time we get the show on the road!! Pet's in the house, nice, nice ..I've been playing the sims for awhile now, I have HOT DATE, and VACATION love them, and can't wait to order The Sims Unleashed Expanion Pack... A pet will be great for a lonely sim, and for u viggie eater's like myself u can grow your own garden, and for thoses who are not so well into the game, or have not played it yet buy it you won't regret it.. Its been out for year's and still coming on strong and I love the game..So hats off to you Maxis keep up the good work!

I really love the Sims...as do many people...but people are giving this pack a bad rep. This is one of the greatest packs yet! I have them all and it's a very addictive pack to play with. People should really stop complaining about how slow their computer is...it's not this pack's fault...it's your own computers. This has the biggest addition yet...pets! Gardens can be a pain to care for, but they do pay off! If you're looking for an expanison to buy...make sure it's this one...don't miss it!

The Sims Unleashed is a great game of which you can get pets, and, with the expansion size of the neighborhoods, you can get about 40 families in one neighborhood! You can get either a dog, cat, lizard, bird and a fish. The pet store isn't different from any other shop, except you can even PLAY with the pet. And, just because it's called "Unleashed" it's not all about pets! You can now grow plants, instead of just buying them. But, you have to buy the seeds! Don't get me wrong! I'm getting it either this week or next week! (Whenever my report card comes out, lol) I'm Steven Jackson, but my nickname is Izzy Imoko.

hi i'm ormie a sim fan. i think that the sims unleashed is wicked. you can buy, train, and play with pets and there is more and more jobs for your sims. but if you don't like to clart on with gardening you can grow them instead i love it its easy relaxing and you can logg onto the sims.com and learn how to make family albums so buy it if you haven't and i can't wait till a new one comes out

I purchased The Sims Unleashed at Staples and I've enjoyed it greatly so far. Installing takes a while. Espically if you have several other expansion packs. Even eith one other expansion pack it took 25 minutes since it needs to copy the files from previous expansion packs. The load time isn't any longer than any other expansion pack though. Press the "space" bar to skip the movie clip. The pet concept is cool. You go to Old Town and pick a pet. You choose the color, sex, and name. Which is all I think you need to change. The Old Town concept is really cool. You can make buildings and stores in Old Town. The really cool thing is I live 15 minutes from Old Town. (The Real One) This is a great expansion pack. I haven't tried planting vegtables yet though. Don't expect a quick installation though unless if this is your first expansion pack.

This game lets you bring your family to the next step
think average family! Nice sized house,1-3 kids,
burber carpet,and a pet. Also you can go to many different places a park a cafe your AvErAgE downtown!
I gave this game a 4 outa 5 mostly because the pet adoption center gives it a nice little add on!

You have got to get this game. From washing your pet in the pet bath from buying a pet! PUre AWESOME
