A Solid Game

I, like many other people, am a fan of the matrix franchise. but I was slightly dissapointed by the gamecube version. I havent played the other ones, but i expect they are better. first off the choppy animation in some parts like ladders and fences makes my eyes hurt, also this game is amazingly short. i beat the whole thing on hard with both characters on hard in 2 days. the big treat is the bonus footage, it drags you deeper into the "Rabbit Hole" of the matrix. The hacking is fun, but it seems like an afterthought. overall, enter the matrix is a mediocre game with [great] cutscenes.

Enter The Matrix is a classic, no one can deny that. Based on a future epic trilogy, this game lives up to all standards. To those people whining about the dark color: GO TO OPTIONS AND TURN UP THE ...BRIGHTNESS!!!

Pros: 1. This game has awesome graphics and makes the characters look exceptionally real.
2. The cinematics are great and add to the movies by explaining some things.
3. The fighting engine is beautiful. It is very smooth and holds plenty of possible combos to lay out.
4. Bullet time is as good as the movies, dodge bullets, run up walls, jump insanely far....what more could you want?
5.There is a good variety of weapons that can be put to use.
6. One of the great things about this game is that you can go through entire levels without even touching your weapon, knowing how to fight at close quarters is a MUST for succeeding as guns will not work on agents or vampires.
7. Niobe and Ghost's levels and objectives are very different, making for excellent replay value.
8. There is also a good variety of level types. You can drive, fight, shoot, shot from cars, fly a hovercraft...
9. Due to the awesome fighting engine, it is possible to fight 5 or 6 guys at one without being touched.

cons: The tires on the cars have a blocky appearace and the ladder climbing is a bit choppy.

When I rented this game from Blockbuster, I was hoping for a game that required me to make an effort at completing the game; I wanted a challenge. However, the only effort was for me to withstand its boring and segmented plot.
The previews said that it was a "parallel to the movie." and yet, most of the levels had absolutely no significance to the movie itself. Yes, it does have decent graphics, and the focus abilities are second to none, but overall the game was merely a bore and a simple task to complete. You fight with two buttons, and most of the combination of attacks are determined by the context of where you are standing.
The plot of the game leaves you questioning, "What happened?" The sequence of levels are so separated and scattered that you don't know what happened in between. And knowing what happens in the story is crucial to the enjoyment of the game.
However, one thing that I was amazed at was some of the detail that was put. For example, you can kick books off of bookshelves, knock candles off of tables, shatter bottles of wine, kick around chairs, and even operate a vending machine. Furthermore, the way the light reflects off of certain objects in the game is very well done. The way light reflects off of Niobe's costume, and the shadows that are shown. In terms of detail, I say "bravo".
Overall, this game was a decent one. It's a pitty that a game that was supposed to be a reflection of a movie with such a prestigious reputation, was merely another dust collector to me.

I must say I really enjoyed this game. It didn't seem to get boring the game ran smoothly and the storyline was awesome. For die hard fans of the Matrix this game is a must it takes place on Naobi's ship during the Matrix Reloaded. It gives you some movie sequences and info that is not present in the movie and I would almost say this game is a companion to the movie. The only real problem I see in the game is that the missions can be redundant and for those with short attention spans certain missions can seem to last an eternity.

this game put me to sleep. once you beat the game with ghost or niobe you don't want to do it with the other player. it's the same story line with 2 different people. thats what i did.(of coarse. for you people who are interested in the game, here are some cheats. every time you turn the game off you have to re-enter the cheats. 0034AFFF-all weapons, 1DDF2556-infinte ammo, 69E5D9E4-infinte focus, 7F4DF451-infinte health, 13D2C77F-level, FFFFFFF1-invisibility, D5C55D1E-multiplayer fighting, and 7867F443-faster logos flight speed. just go into hacking and select cheats exe. just type the codes in and the cheat gets activated. i'm done now. i guess i could stop typing now. i'm tired.

First off i'de like to say that the graphics on this game really suck.second, this game is the what ghost and niobe are doing in the movie so there is no plot. thirdly, its too easy, i beat it in two days playing for at leas an hour each day.All-in-all this game sucks and the Wachosky brother bragged about WAAAAAAAAAy too much. it is a waste of both youre time and money.

This game is really cool and I think it has awesome graphics and
it really gives you the full affect of the matrix trilogy. The
Kung Fu really is awesome and you get to do some really cool
stunts like dodging bullets and walking on the walls. The driving
the cars is fun! You get to choose to be Niobe or Ghost. If you
are a matrix fan or you are looking for a good game then buy
enter the matrix.

I got this game a week before Christmas because I was getting a GameCube for Christmas. I played the game and found it incredible. The game is challenging, but never too hard. It's the kind of game you can play for hours on end, with loads of different moves, guns, and 'focus.' Focus allows you to slow down and do bullet time, also allowing you to defy gravity unlike you could before. YOu fight vampires, SWAT teams, and even Agents. Not to mention Amazon has it or a very low price. Enter the Matrix is worth every cent, and I'd recommend it to any Matrix fan, action fan, or any gamer who enjoys challenging fighting/action/shooting. There is also a hacking function which enables multiplayer. Multiplayer isn't the reason people buy the game, it's just an extra, so it's poorly made but still good fun.
