Pretty Good

Enter the Matrix was a really good game. I liked the action the guns, the graphics, and the extra film footage from the movie. The reason I rated it 4 stars was because when you are in the dark u can't see anything and you are either falling of a ledge or getting hit by someone or something you don't see. I thought the graphics were really good. But another problem with the game for me was the compass that really mixed me up. Also when you type in cheats you have to type in cheat.exe that is a problem if you type in a cheat and have no idea why it is saying command invalid. But otherwise I thought the game was pretty sweet. I think it is the best game that has came out this year. I reccomend that you should get Enter the Matrix. It is an awesome game.

Great entertainment

This game, Enter the Matrix is the best game that has come out in a long time. You get to choose whether you want to be Ghost or Niobie. The best thing I like about this game is that Ghost and Niobie both have some missions that are different and some that are the same. This makes this game have exelant replay value.

The missions are set in a variety of places. In each one of those places, there are about one to ten mini-missions that you play, saving your game after each one. These act as checkpoints along your way.

In Enter the Matrix, there are two ways of figting. You either use punches and kicks, or you use guns. The primary game play is in 3rd person, but you can move into 1st person if you want to manuely aim your gun.

The best thing I like about this game is the focus button. When you hold down the focus button, everything is in slow motion. Then, you can do cool matrix enhanced moves that let you bend the laws of gravity. You can run on walls, jump encredibly far, get better accuracy with your gun, and do better combos. Be careful though, your focus depleats quickly, though it does regenerate after a while.

The only bad thing about this game is the muliplayer. The only way to play multiplayer is use a cheat code that I got from my friend. Even then, it is not split screen, you can not use focus, and you can not use guns. What I do when I have freinds over, I play a mini-mission, then they play a mini-mission and so forth.

Over all, this game is a superb buy and I think anyone would love this game.

Pretty Cool, but slightly unpolished.

Enter the Matrix is a pretty fun game. The action is just plain cool. The actual gameplay of the game is okay but could have been a little more polished. The graphics are so-so. The real treat of this game are the in-game movies. This is one of the most expensive games ever made and the movies explain why. This game has its moments. There are some levels short levels that I just wanted to play over and over again, though that was rarely the case. The levels are repetitive and too long. But, as I said, this game does have its moments. (Words cannot describe the satisfaction felt after kicking Agent Smith off a skyscraper in the Vertigo level.)

Fun, and innovative, but ultimately repetitive

Enter the Matrix sounded like it was going to be one of the best entries into the GameCube's library of games this year, with its unprecedented level of tie-in with the movies and its promise to bring the Matrix's unique style of fighting to the major game systems--but it ultimately fails to deliver. For the first hour or so, out of the six or seven it will take you to complete _both_ scenarios, you will think 'wow, this is great,' but the remainder of the game is exactly the same, and there is very little extra to do. Hacking is an interesting but too-short addition, and the meager multiplayer is laughable. So, rent it, but don't buy it. The sense of novelty doesn't last.

Lacks Awesomeness...

The game has great graphics and the story runs parallel with that of the movie. However, the game play is lacking. The "focus" moves become very repetitive and the last couple of stages seem to be last minute additions so that the game could last an extra 30 minutes.

Let me start saying I have never died in this game. The reason why your health meter gos up every 5 seconds and your focus meter you will see what that is. It is hard but more fun so like when attacking a guy you have about 25 diffrent options on what to do as long as you have learned how to do all those moves. The fighting engine is the best in a game. The sound and graphics are top notch. The exclusive footage is just worth it. The visual effects are another thing why this game is worth it,man aren't they awsome. You will be hours on this nonstop because with being 2 discs the fun never ends and it really doesn't. Buy it just buy it is so worth it.

I found this game to be amazing. At the beginning, it's so fun to play around with bullet time, and we get to do a carchase level. Far on in the game, we get to fly on the Logos. After a while, bullet time seems to lose it SHAZAAM and then it's just a weapon. Instead of just using it for fun, it becomes a weapon, and is very useful for fighting Agents. The storyline also mixes with the Matrix Reloaded. Remember inn the Matrix Reloaded, when Morpheus fell of the truck, then landed on Niobes car, then killed the Agent and got rescued by Neo? They show that direct clip. Aswell, it feels like they remade some scenes with Niobe and Ghost. For instance, remember when Agents Smiths started pouring out of the doors? That happens with Niobe and Ghost. Also, remember the scene where Neo is forced to kiss Persephone? Well, in the game, it's no biggie that Ghost has to kiss Persephone, but when NIOBE, a woman, has to kiss Persephone, a woman, things get weird. Also, remember that chinese guy who apologised to Neo for fighting him, EXACT same diolouge happens to Niobe and Ghost. It sometimes feels as if the Wachowski's were losing their creative sense, for in thje beginning, both Ghost and Niobe have different scripts, but then, whatta ya know? They suddenly become exactly the same.

I would recommend you rent this game instead of buy it, but for serious Matrix fans, go ahead and Enter the Matrix.

This game is okay.

There are some cool things in this game -- like how it really ties into the movie and the "focus" mode (which is when you go into slow motion, like in the movie, and kick your enemy's butt). The game doesn't take long to beat and the annoying part is toward the end they seem to compensate for its length by making a few things impossible to do without cheating. I admit I'm not a big gamer, so maybe I'm just bad at it...but I got really frustrated by the agents killing me over and over and over until I used the hack screen and cheated. Some of the stuff in this game is really cool, but overall it is not worth $. Rent it like I did and you'll finish it before you have to return it.

Awesome!

My fiancee got this game for his birthday, and we had a lot of fun playing it over our vacation. I thought the graphics were really awesome, and there's things in the game that I have never seen in games before (like a skyscraper chase scene). And of course the cool things like running on the walls and jumping super far. The game is almost as much a second movie as it is a game, which impressed me quite a bit.

A word of caution - you should really see The Matrix Reloaded before playing this! It's like a second take on the plot of the movie, and actually filled in some of the questions I had, like "how did she get there?". I thought that was really neat.

The only thing I didn't really like about the movie was the last level where you are flying one of the hoverships - it was pretty much like one big wall scrape, and we couldn't see where we were going or tell if we were taking damage or antything. But that's just one level out of many! And it's fairly short. There were a couple of things that were frustrating in the game, things that you had to hit just right to get it to work, but many games are like that.

I think the best part about the whole game was the ending. :-)
