Ok, so I haven't played it for GameCube as of yet, but I do currently own the Dreamcast version, and to be honest, this title was one of the reasons for me buying a Dreamcast. This game pits you in the seat of a taxi cab and it's then time to earn some crazy money! Basicly, you ride around at high speeds and pick up others who need a lift to a certain area in San Francisco in the shorest amount of time, get there with blazing speeds and you'll pick up a great tip. of course, there's always more stuff with the game such as the Crazy Box, which is almost impossible to beat, it's difficulty rises with each completion of a level. All in all, this title is one of the better and if you haven't played the Dreamcast version and plan on buying a GameCube, do pick up this title.
The best Crazzzzzzzzzzzzy game ever

This is one of the greats. What a great game. You will not have more fun playing this game for the first hour. However, after that hour has finished, you will begin to see the game is really repetitive and kind of ugly. Ugly meaning the graphics are dreamcast quality. BUT WHO CARES. YOu buy this game as a fun diversion for 20 minutes at a time, not as a long RPG you play for hours on end in the quest for the elf's magical bracelet. If your purpose is fun over a short time. You'll love this game. If you want depth and hours of fun, look elsewhere.

It's a fairly fun game, but I'm going to have to play it muted. The drivers and the passengers say things constantly, like every two seconds and they each only have like five lines, so they reapeat themselves about every ten seconds or so. It's very annoying. The constant advertising for levi's, pizza hut, KFC, and others is disturbing. I can't belive the game designers thought that was acceptable. Also, the music sucks. I do get some enjoyment out of driving crazy. The first time I played this about 3 years ago I drove home and hit the garbage corral behind my house driving crazy in the snow.
Crash!!!

Since Sega stopped developing video game systems awhile ago, largely because of the dramatic failures of Dreamcast, and Saturn, they just knew they couldn't try to make anymore at this point. It seemed to be a little bit sad, but does seem to work itself up all over again. That was the absolute case for Crazy Taxi. The game is a wild and wacky strategy racing game, as you try to beat the clock to try to drop your passengers off. The game does seem to hit it off, but the music does seem to drown out the fun a little bit, with a sagging dash of Hard Rock in the mix. The game does feature a down side, with only a couple of courses, but makes up for it in the fun. The game proved itself in the arcades, but there has to be a sequel in the works. They made ones for the other systems, and they might have to make one here in the future. Crazy Taxi is a wicked ride for the Gamecube.
Great game, but not for this price.

I love this game, but if you pay the $50 they want for it here, you'll be disappointed. I got it for $20 months ago. I've seen it for $12 new at some places. Look around, it's worth it.
just about everyone in the game has the same personality!

That seems a little strange to me, don't you think? When you bump into stuff, the controller rumbles. That's cool. You can choose to be on there for a certain amount of time that YOU cam only pick. Overall, this is a neat game. It has music by THE OFFSPRING, too.

Crazy Taxi is a very good game all told. It has good (but not great)graphics; Fun, fast-paced gameplay; It is strategic (knowing the fastest routes around the city and learning the shortcuts); and has an awsome soundtrack. Crazy box games are pretty fun, but the main game is the real prize. My one major qualm about this game is that there are only two main game levels. Crazy fun until you've seen it all. It could've used a multiplayer mode of some kind...
I dunno...

I like this game, it can be fun, but I found it got old FAST. There's just a couple of tracks and the gameplay is always the same with little to open up, what you see is what you get. I disliked how you have to perform the special moves, it should be more easy. The music in this first game is pretty good, well-suited, you'll get tired of it though, and driving without music isn't fun. I start to get sick of it after 10 minutes. The Dreamcast version is cheaper.
old but good.
