Fun but slightly vulgar

The game is challenging and very amusing, especially with the sound turned off. With the sound on, you learn that the Teen rating is for mild profanity which I found very annoying as a bad driver. Since it will take several games before kids get the hang of it, they will hear frequent mild profanities from passengers and driver characters.

Crazy gameplay on Gamecube equals Crazy Taxi!

ZOOM! "Hey, wanna ride?" These are two sound samplers from the best arcade game which was on Playstation 2 and Dreamcast. The way you could just play it is amazing! You could do anything to ram cars and get money on the way. It pleases the crazy cab driver in all of us. Online capability would have been welcome...But two new mini-games make that up real fast. The crazy gameplay that's rare in most video games. So do your crazy cab driver in yourself a favor and buy it which will make your cab driver come out and take over! Now, Nintendo's world dominiation plan is almost completed if it wasn't for horrible game systems clogging up our environment(*cough* Xbox *cough*). And by the way I was being sarcastic for that sentence but not the parenthesis...

My review that you are about to read is the truth and nothing else!

Crazy taxi rules. The sountrack is awsome, the streets are the craziest i have ever seen, and the drivers are hillarious. Usually i choose Gus and my favorite Gus sayin g is when you are slow and the person ou picked up gets out at there destionation....

Anyway Crazy Taxi will never get old never get tiring and it will become you favorite game very fast. If you have Gamecube get this game. And for such a low price it's such a bargin!

In other word Crazy Taxi gets a: 10/10

A weak game that's been issued too many times

Crazy Taxi for Game Cube does sport good graphics, simple controls, and decent music, but that's it. The design of this game is simply weak. For the first time or two of playing it, it's fun. After that though, it just gets repetitive, redundant, and completely incessant. At first it's fun, driving people around the city, collecting fares, but then it gets tedious. They tried to spruce up the game by adding mini-games. These mini-games feel completely half hearted and are practically impossible to complete with some of them. The Simpsons Road Rage is a much better game with the same type of feel as Crazy Taxi. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone except those who reallly can't get enough of this type of game.

This is one hell of a fun game i just bought it and played it for hours, its cool because i never had Sega Dreamcast or Sony Playstation 2 so i couldn't play (..). Crazy Taxi 2 is good too but nothing beats the original. 1st off they have real places in the game like Pizza Hut, Kentucky Fried Chichen, even Tower Records its a totally Awesome experience and original idea even if it is a couple years old i seriously reccomed this game to any game cube gamer its cRaZy FuN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a direct port right from the sega dreamcast that adds nothing new. There are only 2 different levels and 4 different characters. I got a class S license (the highest ranking) on both levels with all 4 characters in less then 2 hours. Crazy Box mode (Crazy Box mode is Sega's poor attempt at a career mode) is not fun at all and the missions are either too hard or too easy. There is also no car damage making this game seem totally unrealistic. You can run into a wall for ten minutes and your car will stay in top condition. There is no reward to getting a class S license such as additional characters or levels and possibly the biggest problem with this game is there is NO MULTIPLAYER MODE, which would have added some much needed replay value. I've played Simpson's Road Rage and that game isn't much fun either, the graphics made me want to go throw up, however if you absolutely need a game like this, definetly go for Simpson's Road Rage, at least it has a multiplayer option. Crazy Taxi was fun in arcades but it just doesn't work for consoles, maybe the new Crazy Taxi 3 for XBox will at least be slightly fun. The only reason I gave this game 2 stars is because driving around town in a taxi and taking your customers to their alotted destination within a time limit using any means neccessary is a cool concept and the graphics aren't terrible.

Anyone who hasn't played this game should rent it, play it, return it, and be done with it. Crazy Taxi is one of Sega's more successful franchises, yet it's one of it's weakest. Go figure.

anyone know why they call it crazy taxi? well, its basicly cuz its crazy. not cuz its boring not that it doesnt have a verity of game play and not cuz its re-relessed cuz it TOTALY RULES!!! look at these poor people(im not talkn bout u 5-stars). sure its out on almost every system but thats cuz everyone loves it. ive played it in arcades on DC and on PS2 plus its the whole reason why im gonna pay ($$$)4 a gamecube(that and XG3 which it another awsome game from acclaim thats worth checking out). dont lissen 2 these people they probly got a defective acclaim game long ago and have been aginst them ever since or something dumb like that. this games got 3 rules: make it fast, make it wild, and dont get destracted by the killer music. crazy taxi is fast-paced fun 4 the crazy gamer in us all!
