This is a great game. The whole new story is the most attractive thing.Have you ever been an assassin? It maybe a little bit hard at beginning...but will be easy with cheat-codes.Anyway we haven't been assassins, right? Let's enjoy it!

Simply put, it's just not very good

This game has a lot going for it with plenty of stealthy ninja action. The problem is that the cons get in the way of the pros. For starters, the controls are annoyingly bad. The fighting consists mainly of run up to the guard and mash the attack button and hope something connects. Usually your character will continue attacking even though your not hitting anything, meanwhile your being chopped to death by a guard. Next, the graphics really show the Playstation's age; in other words, they're terrible. More than once I was aiming my grappling hook at a nearby roof, only to watch the entire building I was aiming at disappear. But hey, if pop-up is your thing, you'll be more than satisfied here. One thing I liked was that it was challenging (mainly thanks to the controls). However, there are just too many other good games out there to get to even consider this one. Go get Metal Gear Solid instead.

Aye yea, this joint is hot!!!

my review of "Tenchu Stealth Assanins" is that its a great game to play. its a really fun game and it doesnt get boring. most games do after a while. but this game is different. it has a good story to it and theres actually a point to the game. some games, u just beat and thats the end. this game is able to play again because u can get all kinds of different ranks for how u play. kinda like golden eye for n64, but a lot more fun.

Tenchu puts you into the world of fuedal Japan, where you play as either Rikimaru or Ayami, which are servants sent by there master to complete misssions for him. The game is great, setting you in 3-d environments, up against samuria, animals, and demons. But this is no run around and kill people type of game, you must complete your missions with stealth and cunning. But no game is perfect. Camera angles may get bad at times, most of the time in the heat of battle, and the voice acting could be better. Though having its problems, Tenchu is awesome. A must have for any action/adventure gamer

The Enemy will be skillful and ruthless!

My older brother introduced me to this wicked game in late 1998 and I was totally blown away. This game can be so involving it makes you feel like you're a real ninja. The cheat codes actually enhance the gameplay, making the game all the more fun. I liked some of the hammy acting and dialogue -- it added to the fun! If you want a great action game that really pulls you in and involves you, play this -- better yet, BUY IT! You won't be sorry!

EXCELLENT

Well thought-out, nicely done levels. You are a ninja and you need to think your way through the levels. With various items, you can lure a guard out or make a decoy. This game is for the person who likes stealth with their action, and don't we all? The secret debug mode lets you make your own levels! I've had this game for a year now and STILL play it constantly because you can do so much with the debug code after you've mastered the game. People say it's too easy. Well, tell me, have you been able to beat it without being seen by a guard!

A really fun game when it comes to killing and sneaking around. There are alot of really neat items you get. Such as smoke bombs, shurikens, gernades and lots more. With lots of action came a big challenge, although Once you get experienced with fighting and blocking etc. the game gets quite easy with only 10 levels. I beat the game in a week and a half. They have a good training level for when you first buy the game which is really helpful to test out killing. If you liked METAL GEAR:SOLID you'll probably like this game alot.

Wonderfully violent game.

I can't say enough good things about this game. The controls are dead-on, the japanese gardens and houses add to a wonderful atmosphere and the 2 main characters are well done. The AI of the enemies lacks a little. For example; when you throw a bowl of poisoned rice the enemy will turn their back to you and go for the rice like a zombie to brains. As soon as they turn their back you can jump down (or out) and kill them before they even pick up the rice. The AI is supposed to be beefed up in part 2. I personally thought the voice acting was cool. Instead of some horrid amateur voice the voiceovers are done by japanese people speaking in THICK accents. As for the replay value, it's great. Once you beat all the levels with both characters you can go back through with a code (not a cheat) and play the level again with a whole new layout of enemies and items. There are three layouts per board, a, b, and c. Some of which are quite challenging. This is not a pure action game though. You have to be stealthy and slick to gain the rank of grandmaster on every layout of every board. I would highly recommend this to anyone who remotely enjoys video games.
