Man, this game is the best yet! In Pokemon Yellow Version, you had a Pikachu that follows you around. It was almost exactly like the show! In Sapphire, there are theives, hidden caves, 100 new pokemon, and WWAAAAYYYY more!!! It's way better than any other game!

I like Sapphire. That is why I think I'm going to get one on my birthday. I already know the game because my friends have the guide book.I don't want to spoil the game so you can find out on your own. I am a big fan of Poke'mon. I already have some of the great games...I know the starting Poke'mon.

My favorite Poke'mon(s) is(are) Mudkip-Marshstomp-Swampert, Todidile-Croconaw-Feraligator, and Squirtle-Warturtle-Blastiose. My favorite type is water, ice, and dark.I like dark the most because they come in the night. You can e-mail me & be pen pals...I would like to start with Mudkip. I can tell you how Swampert can learn Hydropump(Swampert cannot learn Hydropump)...I LOVE POKE'MON!!!!!!!

I have been a big fan of the previous Pokémon games and therefore I started Sapphire with fresh mood. This game, however, didn't come up to my expectations. In Pokémon Gold and Silver, it was still possible to catch 251 Pokémon, whereas the number now stops at 200. That said, the worst thing is that Nintendo has deleted most of the best old Pokémon, and has put in new ones instead. They are terrible! Especially the new legendary Pokémon don't even approach the level that Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres used to achieve. The graphics are bitter too. Although they are well made, they don't give you the distressing feeling which came over you in Red and Blue walking through one of the caves (which also have disappeared). The only improvement there can be seen in the enlargement of the screen font. The sound fails, too. Where are the happy tunes of the older games? The 2-on-2 fights don't add anything to the game. They are the almost no different and they almost don't show up. In spite of this all I found it nevertheless worthwile to play Pokémon Sapphire. Although the good things of the old games has disappeared, it remains exciting to discover a new city and the game has gained in depth on other things, like the improved pack and Pokédex and the addition of Pokémon contests. If you haven't yet played the older games, it is certainly advisable to play Sapphire. Even when you HAVE played them, but be prepared to some major disappointments

I thought that Pokemon Sapphire was a REALLY good game. You can choose your starter Pokemon and then build the ultimate pokedex! Pokemon Ruby and Emerald are both good too. I had a really great time playing this game! You have got to buy this game! :)

in a whole new world of pokemon you can catch brand new kinds of pokemon. in this you are introduced to double battles(battles were you have two pokemon out at once). In double battles moves like earthquake,blizzard and surf affect both of the opponents pokemon. This game is great if you don't by it your wacky!

I know a lot bout ruby and sapphire cause I look on the internet. the whole piont of the game is to go around Hoenn,collect bages/train and catch pokemon.The pokemon you start out with are either Mudkip (water) Treeko (grass) or Torchic (fire).Oh and for you people who can't decide whether to get ruby or sappire.In ruby you get the small female legendary bird in sapphire you get the big male legendary bird. In sappire you get the legendary Kyogre. In Ruby you get the legendary Groudon. ... people who think pokemon games are for kids well pokemon is a game that requires you to study weaknesses and requires a lot of stratagetic plans. I'm 15 and I play pokemon games in fact I have. Yellow Silver and Crystal.

Ok to start out with I purchased this game Sunday and i started playing and couldnt stop. i played this game for 14 hours strait and that is not a lie. i love this game. from the way enhanced graphics that are out of this world to the some hard parts of the game this game is great yea i know that pokemon used to be just a fad and i got over it and i thought this game would be so stupid but my friend said it looked cool and i started to look it u on here and he was right.

i started out with the water pokemon mud kip and im have already evolved him to marshtopm and then swampert the last evolution there arent any rivals but you do have a friend who is kinda like it named may she gives you gifts you dont battle her to often cause you have to find her in the area that she is in and if you do find her you kno you are heading in the right direction in this game your dad is a gym leader he is pretty good but i can beat him he is the fifth gym leader so if you get stuck after your fourth badge go to your dads gym also in this game you have to think alot by wen you talk to people in there houses you have to watch what they say because they give you little hints to where you need to go to. well i dont want to tell you that much more so just go buy it ...

This game is awsome!I own all the other versions in english and japenese.And just so you know KerBear102,your review made it sound like you know everything about it.And its not true that the game isnt for kids.I my first game was Pokemon Blue.And I had it ever since I was 8.Now I am 5 yrs better at this game and I say its better to buy it when ur just a kid cauz when they come out with new ones in the furture,you would be ?yrs better at it.

Well pokefans your in for a treat. When these games debut on the 19th of March stores will be flocked with poke-hungry children and I'm sure amazon is booked. This is goind to be a real pokemon hit. I have played all the pokemon games on game boy color and even practiced up a bit on the stadiums for the n64. They are all great, you don't have to like pokemon to enjoy them! I at first thought pokemon was a fad that would be short lived, but nintendo turned it into a global phenomenon! I played the Pokemon Gold version and thought it couldn't get any better. However after looking at this game and seeing new screen shots, higher quality graphics, more colors and quests, a female trainer option, and not to mention the 100 new pokemon, I knew everyone was in for a real surprise.
So, the game boy advance is soon to be the proud host of the ultimate twin pokemon games Ruby and Saphire, what I really want to know is, why does saphire get half a star less?

I have played every single version of Pokemon (Red, Blue, Silver, Gold, Ruby, Sapphire) and Ruby/Sapphire's the BEST!! The graphics are sooo cool! So is the gameplay! T'ts so awesome!! Another thing i like is that its so easy to get stuck in this game. Its more of an RPG like Final Fantasy. You have to figure out ways to do stuff! And there are so many side quests! Kyogre and Groudon are AWESOME!! So is Rayquaza!! omg! and uh if all of you out there that dont know what that is, go to Pacifidlog Town and surf outside the eastern part and go up and look for a cave door thingy. Enter the tower there, and get past the cracks with a Mach Bike and Rayquaza is at LVL 70!! but u can only get it after beating the elite four...oh well! so anyway its so good! Fly, ExtremeSpeed, Outrage, and Uhh I forgot last move, but oh well!! Anyway Keep on Gaming People! Oh and anyone who disses Pokemon (the game) is so stupid! Ive seen 14+ year olds play this game and say its awesome!!
