I've been playing Sapphire, and i have to say, i love it. It has all the classsic game play of previous Pokémon games, but with so many new added features. There are a lot of secrets to find, many new mini games, and the addition of tons of new stats and characteristics for the Pokémon. Environmental effects such as tracks in the sand, reflections in water, and regional weather draw you into the Pokémon world.

The game is incredibly fun, full of plot twists, side quests, and things to do. If you like any of the previous Pokémon, i'd recommend this one. I'd go so far as to say that this is the best one yet. If you've never played Pokémon, this is a great point to jump in.

A great game.

While this game is fun, nothing compares to the original Blue/Red. While the first ones lack the depth of these GBA releases, there is a certain feeling and element to the first two that these new ones don't have. I'm not quite sure what it is. But putting that aside, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are two very deep games with hours upon hours of enjoyable gameplay, I have 130 hours on mine and I'm not even close to mastering the damn thing. The replay value is very high, which is great. You'll sure get your money worth out of this one. One of the things these ones have is stupid pokemon design, I mean I understand it's hard to come up with new creatures, but what is up with #183 - Lovedisc. Sorry, I don't really want to play with a freaking heart-fish thing. Some are really kool though, like #179 - Relicanth. A deep sea rock fish! Genius! I love it! Oh yeah, #171 - Snorunt is dumb too. Wow, I really went off topic with this. In closing... even if you don't like pokemon, these games are still appealing, for they are the most in depth rpgs for the GBA you can buy.

Wonderful! The Best Pokemon Game Yet!

This game rocks! I belive that it is the best yet!
There are tons of new Pokemon, though I do wish the could have included more of the originals or made them cuter. To progress through the game quickly it would be wise to purchase a Ruby/Sapphire Players Guide.

When the game starts you are sitting in a moving truck going to your new house in Hoenn. From then on you meet your rival, find out that your father is a gym leader and claim your first Pokemon. The game continues on to winning badges and completing goals. You just can't stay away long. Create catchy slogans and fads, and have a unique profile! Keep on Playing!

I have high hope for the succes of future Pokemon games(if any), they can only get better.

Endless Fun

My husband bought this game for himself and then started collecting the rest of the Pokemon games from years back. I was curious why a grown man would want to play Pokemon, until I tried it. This game caught my attention from the beginning. All the different taskings and the excitement of leveling up your pokemon to gain more moves was great. After playing the rest of his Pokemon games, I see the difference over the years. The graphics on Sapphire are amazing! And the new Pokemon are great. Also, instead of fighting one twin at a time, you get to use both of your top Pokemon to fight at the same time. The only drawback is without a book to cheat off of, you really wonder all the things you might be missing out on. That's why I ordered the Ruby and Sapphire guide so I can go back and see where all the goodies are. I hope you enjoy this game as much as we have.

The best Pokemon game yet.

This by far the best Pokemon game ever. Way better graphics, more edditing done to make it cooler. Alot of new Pokemon. Better Pokedex. I got this game today, and I am of course having a blast. Everything got changed from the mart's to the Pokemon Center. This game it think is 2yrs. after Gold Silver an Crystal. I give a salute to Nintendo for making such a better game(I also salute to the military people God Blees them)It is alot more harder than Gold Silver etc.. But it is realy fun. Ther is not night time pokemon for some reason, I wish I kew why. There is two on two battle, which is realy challenging. You might want to get Ruby and a link cable to catch them all.

While eating ham sandwich, declares Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are some of the best RPGs on the Game Boy Advance. With over 200 Pokemon to catch, eight tough gym leaders, the Elite Four, and rare Pokemon, these games are so fun you won't put them down for at least a few hours.

Helpful Hint:
You can capture the legendary Pokemon Kyogre or Groudon in the Cave of Origin.
