Great game if you have a good PC

I got this game a while ago but i haven't been able to play it till now because i didn't have a good graphics card but once i got a one, this game was great and if you have Soaked and Wild this game is even better. If you have a good PC then this is a great game. GREAT BUY

OK game...I'd expected something better

RCT3, is a OK game to me. When I got my game, I expected that it would be much better than RCT2...but at first, no. After I downloaded the game, I went ahead and decided to do a new game. Once it loaded (which takes forever) my screen was blinking. I mean, the whole screen was blinking.

I thought it would go away, but it didn't. I was seriously upset. I had to take it back, and get a new one. Once I did, the screen was fixed...kind of. It blinked again.

I had then figured out you had to download the UPDATES that came with the game. They don't clearly point that out do they? BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD THE UPDATES.

So once I:
Took back the messed up game
downloaded new one

I was confused immediately. Well, BE SURE TO READ THE TUTORIALS too. But it took awhile to understand everything. I still love RCT2 better then RCT3. My opinion, of course...

This is as fun a tycoon game as there is. I have read many negative reviews which seem to be a result of a person's PC not being able to support the software. I have found very few actual software flaws, and my family has played this game for many hours. It is challenging, fun, and even provides somewhat of a learning experience. Fun for all ages.

Roller coaster tycoon is the best game. Open the amusement park of your dreams. I LOVE the coaster cam cuz you can ride the rides. I love the game in soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much ways. YOU CAN CREATE PYROTECHNIC WONDERS WITH THE FIREWORKS MIXMASTER. ThE game is E for everyone becuz comic mischief and mild violence violence cuz you can run over peeps on a roller coaster. so that is my review p.s. if you want to no more please!!!!!!! write a comet. the end.

My daughter and I are big fans of the original Roller Coaster Tycoon game/expansion packs. We were so excited about this release, that we actually had it marked on our calendar! I was very impressed with the graphics and on-ride cams, however both of us liked the original Roller Coaster Tycoon better, and wish the on-ride cam feature was available for the originals, as they are much better, she is already back to playing the originals. I used to play the original RCT2 for hours, this game loses my interest quickly... the fireworks were too hard to figure out except for the demo they give you, the rides are boring after a while and the game constantly " locks up ". So, this game is average ( 3 stars ) at best. You can buy it for the day/night sequence, animated characters, and best of all on-ride cam, but after that you will be back to the original.

this game was really amazing. the new coaster cam and the peeps more then make up for the numerus bugs(there are alot though).and being able to import mp3s into the game is really cool, not to mention the fireworks which is i think the most amazing part of the game. plus you can finaly import tracks from rct 1 and 2 which is really fun. but before you buy MAKE SURE YOUR COMPUTER CAN RUN THE GAME becuse it needs i relatively new video card and alot of memory. overall i highly recemend this game and was not the lest bit disapointed like some other poeple.

Don't listen to those stupid RCT3 haters!

I bought this and SOAKED! and still enjoy it. Plus, the stupid 1-star people critisize the game (And say "Don't buy!") for idiotic and stupid reasons!

I'M the biggest rct fan ever but this game is gonna BLOW YOU AWAY 3-D All The Same Coasters Better Then No Limits. The Best Is Gonna be Steel Rides.

Midlevel PC. Experienced user.
Can not get product to run. Appears I need to buy a brand new PC just to run $35 game. Atari's response: "contact the retailer". As if they don't know that no retailer will accept an opened game.

The game in its boxed retail state is full of show-stopping gameplay bugs and requires massive hardware to run smoothly. I have an XP 2400+ (~2 Ghz) / 512 PC2100 / 9800 Pro 128Mb and feel lucky to get 15-20 fps with just 600 peeps in the park. With a park full of 1000+ peeps at nighttime, by frames per second went down to between 4 and 6. You can see the full list of bugs by going to the Atari forums for the game. The bottom line - don't buy this until they release a patch that addresses issues with peep AI and performance.
