Best Game for Gameboy Ever!

I think that Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town is one of the best GB game ever! You get to raise a horse and a dog. Plus, you can own up to 8 cows, 8 chickens, and 8 sheep! You can collect eggs, wool, and milk. You can even grow crops like most farmers! You get to marry one of the five girls, Popuri, Ann, Elli, Mary, or Karen. You can even marry the Harvest Goddess if you figure out how. If you give a present to your wife every day for about a month, you will find out she is pregnant and will have a baby boy within 60 days. Over the years your child will continue to grow. And for all the girls, they are working on a Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town that will let you play as a girl and you can marry one of the five boys, it will be released in Summer 2005. I highly recommend either of the games!

This is a very addictive game is a lot of fun. You are a farmer who starts off with almost no money and your goal is to become a successful farmer who has a wife and child. The clock never stops ticking, unless your inside someones house. It's a race against time to feed your animals, water your crops and still find time to cook and get a girl to marry you. But be warned, this is a very addictive, when your in the mood. I can find myself playing for at least 4 hours at the time!!!!


One complaint I would make is that the instuction panflet, is terrible. When I first picked it up I was clueless.

This is a GREAT game for ages 7 and up!!!
You get to name animals and raise them!!! You get to do a lot of stuff that you wouldn't normally do. It is fun to discover new things and go to festivals. You get to know people and make friends. This game made me feel like a grown up creating a life all by myself.

Harvest Moon Fomt Is a good game overall, it's mostly for the younger generation of gamers though any die-hard fan of the series would want it. If you've been playing the game for a long time then it gets a bit repetitive. At the start you have plenty of options to choose from like if you want to be a Farmer, Fisher, or Miner. There are two mines in the game, ones the Spring Mine which is open all year round and the other is the Winter Mine(or Lake Mine whichever you prefer)In Spring Mine is Where you'll be spending most of your time looking for ores to upgrade your tools with and in Lake Mine are some cool secrets which are hard to get but really useful. The beach is where to go to play frisbee with your dog which is fun in its own kind of way and you can catch fish there to. The other Fishing Spots are Downstream, Upstream and Lake areas where you can find many different types of Fish. The Festivals are the heart of the Game as you get to see all of your pixeled friends and join in different types of competitions, like the Chicken Sumo for example. All in all this is a game for people with patients like saints as some of the days can be pretty long drawn waiting for 5.p.m when Zack comes and picks up the produce. I mean come on, How many games are there where you can do any of that stuff?

I got this game at chistmas and it is the best game ever!You start out with your dog and you get your horse pretty soon after you start the game.I am already very far in the game.I have already gotten my wife and my son(he is 3 now)I have 8cows and 8 sheep and 8 chickens.My horse loves me and so dose my dog and family. It is the best game ever! GET THIS GAME YOU WILL LOVEIT!!

This game is wonderful.There are 5 girls you can choose to marry.
They are Ann,Mary,Elli,Popuri,and Karen.I married Popuri and have 1 baby named Fred.I caught small, medium and large fish with a minstry rod.To get a rod you must go to Zack's place excaxly at 11:00.You can plant every season exeapt Winter.Now I'm
saving enough gold to get a cottage.But that lousy woodcutter won't build me a bathtub because I give up I never get enough money to get a cottage.This game is very good it does cost alot of money but it's diffanly worth it.Sorry my spelling is bad.

I love this game, it's based on real life situations and it teaches me how to do stuff like take care of animals, take care of my property, how to cook, how to take care of a family.
It's a lot of fun, it's all about farming, you start with nothing and work your way up to becoming prosperous, you grow your veggies and raise animals and then you sell them, that's how you start making money and then you buy more properties or more animals, and so on and so on.
I can't put this game down, can't wait to get the new one on 7/27
This is the best game ever, my brother also got one so he has his own farm now.

A tie with my second fave video game ever, Harvest Moon 64!

Lol, weird title, huh? This is tied with another Harvest Moon game. In other words, this is one out of two of my second favorite video games. When I heard about it, BOY was I exited! But, I saw a screenshot of it, and I though right away, "I don't like the graphics." But I got it for Christmas, and played it. It was GREAT! The screenshot I saw didn't come out very well. The graphics were beautiful! Unlike HM64, the music didn't start all over when you exit the...uh, place...you're in. It's great music! This is a great game, it's highly recommended for Harvest Moon fans!

This game is great! Its small but certianly better than Sth(Save the homeland) The game takes place a few years after Btn.
Harvest moon games have always been one of the greatest Non-violence RPG games for all gamers out there. People not familar with the series might be thinking "A game about farming? Thats suppose to be fun?" But surprisingly, Yes it is fun. At first you start with a young puppy and get to name it (Can grow older and bigger) and you can buy some chickens, cows and other animals including Horses! The feauture of marrying is still here, You can marry Ellen, May look young. Ann is a girl with short hair, Popuri the pink haired girl. Karen the cute drunk girl. Mary, The book nerd and a special... The goddess, but the goddess barely does anything when you marry her, The goddess won't take care of the Kid. Plus The goddess's heart rates won't show!And therea are rivals for each girl you can marry! Make sure your rival doesn't marry your crush! Also try letting your wives keep working, They will turn depressed if you want them to stay home. Its like your telling them to do what you want. Having a child is not easy, You don't get to play with it or give it gifts until its a toddler. But your child stays a toddler forever, He won't age like in Hm:AWL.
Once you have your family (Your wife, your child and you) and taken care of your animals. You may be able to buy a new house! Plus there is another house if you link-up Fomt with AWL! If you do the link-up, You can visit AWL characters, Read character profiles and buy some tunes! Some animals you wont need to take care of, But animals like chickens will die if you dont take care of them. Make sure you have the sprites to take care of them during your wedding! The graphics are good for a GBA game. The sound is good like always.
This game is good for all ages, It also teaches people farm life, Taking care of animals and what its like to have a family! So i fyou parents are reading this, Buy this for your child but Anyone can buy this as age does not matter.
Buy this great game and start your new home on the farm and get married (I think i hear some of you Hm newbie kids moaning ^_^ but its fun once you get use to it!)
So get this while its hot!

I always research a game before I play it. I find that Amazon reviews are a great place to start. You must too if you are reading this.
I played Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town at my cousin's house for a few hours and I got addicted to it. I'm not really into gameboys, but I loved this game so much that I bought a gameboy advance for it.
In this game, you inherit a farm from an old man. Your job is to work the land and make a living.
There is a town nearby where you can upgrade tools, buy supplies, and just talk to people. Events are held in the local town square.
Have fun as your farm prospers under your guiding hand. When you get more money from your crops, you can start to buy cattle, sheep, and chickens for alternate profit. Your animals will reproduce so one of each animal is all you need to start large herds.
Eventually, you will need to get married. There are a few girls in town you can choose from. It takes a couple months of giving them gifts to gain their favor, though.
All in all, this is one of the best games I've ever played, and that's saying a lot.

Pros:
*This game requires a little thinking, unlike some games that are out today.

*You can't beat it overnight, it will require time. This means that you don't get bored with it.

*There is no set gameplay. You do what you want to do.

*You do everything at your own pace. Like I said above, you do what you want to do.

Cons:
*It is almost impossible to stop playing. ;)

I would like to end this review with a simple phrase; Stop searching for the perfect game because you found it. Don't hesitate another second; buy it now!
