Fire Emblem, the hot new RPG game is da best!!!!! Fire Emblem has three different plots: Lynn's Quest, Eliwood's Quest, and Hector's Quest. Hope you"ll forgive me for giving away the plot. Lynn's Quest is about a girl from the tribe of Lorca tribe trying to rescue her grandfather from Castle Caelin. Eliwood's Quest is about a red-head boy trying to find his missing father. Hector's Quest I don't know because I'm not at that part. So basically this is your normal rpg game taken to the next level. FFTA was also a hot rpg game but it just can't beat Fire Emblem.
So in the game you always start with storyline in the beginning of each chapter. Just press Start if you want to skip the storyline. Then it goes to the field where you see your main units. Then comes the preparation where you can pick your units and trade the items between them. After that you start the chapter on the screen on a field where the graphics get really crappy. You move your units around and move next to an enemy and start a battle. When you start a battle, there will be a platform where the two foe's fight. But when you battle an enemy you don't use the a or b button to attack in a fight. The units hit and attack by themselves, volleying until the battle ends. Usually the battle goes like this: Your opponent hits you (or Vice-versa)you hit your enemy and if your units has good speed he will attack again. You can level up your characters and upgrade them to another class with special items.
Levels for Characters
Mage---Sage
Fighter---Warrior
Cavalier---Paladin
Lynn---Blade Lord
Hector---Great Lord
Eliwood--- Don't know
Cleric---Bishop
Monk---Bishop
Shaman---Druid
Pegasus Knight---Falco Knight
Wyvern Rider---Wyvern Lord
Archer---Sniper
Nomad---Nomadic trooper
Troubadour---Valkyrie
Myrmidon---Swordmaster
Mercenary---Hero
Knight---General
Thief---Assasin

When I first got this game it was great the tactics for this game is good. And you really have to use your brain and think because enemies will kill your best sometimes. Some parts of this game are really hard to play. What makes this really hard is the guys you play with if they die then its game over don't worry you can start again though. All I've got to say for this game is it's great and not a waste of 30 bucks. This is the hardest game I've played next to another one of mine.THIS IS THE TOP TEN RPG GAMES OUT IN THE MARKET BUY IT!!!!!

this game is probobly one of the best rpg games to hit the gba screen. the game allows you to engage in battles and befriend new characters, which help you with your battles. the whole stratagy lies in moving the right characters towards weaker enemies in order to defeat them. when you pick a character to move on the batttle field a blue grid shows up mapping out the availiable spaces for your character to move. knowing which characters to move where is the hard part, but none the less exciting. all in all everything about this game is excelent.
Very Good Rpg

This game is a very good rpg. All 4 hours of the tutorial were aggrivating at times, but think about it, those 4 hours made you crave the normal gameplay, so it added to the experience. It will also give you starting off players out there very good help in the game which gets progressivly difficult.
The actual game was great. This quests start off easy but you find yourself getting more and more challenged as you go along. Once you get to quest 19 or so the game becomes almost frustrating, but it keeps your playing. The characters have great personality, and the storyline was good even though it was basic rpg 101.
I am still stuck on quest 31 i wont ruin the story for you but it is nearly impossible, and takes about 30 tries before you get the hang of it. But i hear the game doesn't end there and there is another mode to play which makes me want to beat 31 even more.
Overall, this game is a solid rpg with all the characteristics you need, a good storyline, easy gameplay controls, decent graphics, and an incredibly addictive game.
I recommend rpg lovers and even people who have never played one to pick up this game, as it would have my vote for the best rpg on the game boy advance/sp!
Just the best...

First I don't understand why people think the graphics are bad, if you think that then GET A LIFE!!! In the battle mode they get better than in the worldmap! This compared to Advance Wars means Fire Emblem wins. Is more realistic, I mean, here if someone dies it dies forever, but in AW, many units die and you may recover them has if there were infinite men!
Well, no with the review:
SOUNDS/MUSIC: Just really cool, most of them are really pacific, I prefer just two of them. The sounds really make the weapons get alive! 4/5
Gameplay: This game has a great gameplay, 70% playing 30% talk (everyone who thinks they talk to much get a life, just press start and you will not hear them, duhh!!!) 5/5
Graphics: The graphics are just like anime, japanese style (some), the animations are really cool, the way they throw their hand-axe, ect. 5/5
Fun: Really cool, if you already defeated the game start it over and try not to lose any character and try to get everyone you missed, also you can do the versus link mode. 5/5
Overall: 4,7/5, rounding it makes 5/5!!! Try it, is just the best...

After so may years of being a Japanese exclusive, Fire Emblem finally arrived in the USA with this game. This will not disappoint you.
NOTE: Watch out for illegal copies, Amazon Marketplace is full of them. If the label on the front of the game looks like the front of the box, it is bootleg (A poorly design illegal version).
Fun for all

I got a DS and since it's compatible with GBA games I decided to play some of the best rated GBA games on it too. I played Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (Similar game but more war based rather than rpg) and enjoyed it.
Fire Emblem was released in 2003 so I expected the graphics to be a bit dated, but they aren't that bad for a small screen. Overall, the gameplay and story was excellent. Lot's of characters, lots of plot twists, and enough strategy. I loved that if you 'lost' a character in battle that you no longer got to use them. There are optional side quests/plots, which I skipped the first time around. I definitely enjoyed this game enough to play it again to catch more of the plot details and play the side quests. It's that good. I also got the second installment for the GBA and the 3rd for the Game Cube. After I finish those, I definitely plan on playing the newest one on the Wii.
I also liked that the chapters/missions were not so hard that you had to play them over and over to finish and move onto the next part of the game/story. At times it seemed easy, and it would have been nice to be able to turn the difficulty up...but at the same time it wasn't so easy that it wasn't fun.
Anyhow, I would strongly recommend this game if you like Advance Wars, Final Fantasy, Jeanne D'arc on the PSP, and others that are similar in style).
-- Added later: Upon finishing this game, you find that more is unlocked. For example, you can go through parts with other lead characters to get more insight from their perspective. Going through to unlock other characters...etc...this game has more replay value than I originally thought and I thought it had good replay value to start with.
Great Game
