The speedy F-ZERO for the Super Nintendo was a lot of fun, but this GBA edition isn't quite as fast. However, there are still reasons to play this game. Maximum Velocity has 21 new tracks with sharp turns, jumps, and road obstacles. Of all the racers that were launched with the GBA (of which there are three) this one is the fastest and has the most difficult aspects of speed, therefore making it the best. The game is smooth and the controls are responsive. The AI is quite good. You can also race with 1-3 friends using the Game Link feature. No matter how you play, this game is quite a rush and you will need this if you like racing games.
The most out of control F-Zero yet.

This is the third official version of F-Zero. There are hacks claiming to be F-Zero 2, but there are only three games in the series, F-Zero (SNES), F-Zero X (N64), & F-Zero: Maximum Velocity (GBA). F-Zero is a relatively simple concept... it is all about a space race. Each vehicle is equipped with a jet propulsion system and magnetic stabilizers. You race down the tracks at speeds exceeding 600mph. Racers from all over the galaxy come to compete. Once you are on the track, anything goes. Other racers can even push you off the track and to your death.
I was rather pleased with the feel of the game. The whirr of the engines was well done for this limited audio power on the GBA. Collision SFX did lack in the sense that they sounded more like someone sneezing. The cityscape presented on the earlier tracks was well preserved from the SNES version. The vehicles have a new take on appearance. These are nicely rendered in 3D when you select your machine, however in game racing uses a very dulled down version of the CG models featured in the vehicle select screen. The track does spin nicely and appears to have slight usage of a 3D engine.
I was disappointed with the actual control of the game. Racing is very difficult to control. It seems the slightest tap will send you ricocheting from wall to wall. This became increasingly annoying when I was trying to place. The recharge ports are also too small to really regain any energy. By the time you are finished being bounced around on the track, you have already passed your chance to recharge. There is definitely a high learning curve in this out of control world.
I did not like the game. I enjoyed the first two F-Zero games, F-Zero X more than the original. F-Zero: Maximum Velocity just seems to take more time to learn than I am really willing to put forward. I do not recommend this to newbies of the series. If you have played previous installments, you may find value here, but as for myself, once tossed around, twice shy.
This is my favorite racing game

this game is a good racing game compared to super mario super circuit. This is mainly because u hav better control and u can get more speed and not go as slow as a turtle. Racing fans will like this game, the only flaw is the music, it gets kind of annoying sometimes but it's alright.
SO SO game

this was my second game i got and its okay its just you run out of fuel too quick and you can only get it back in one place but for all of it to come back you need to just wait there for about 7 secs and thats enough time for the other people to pull in front of you by this game if you like really fast racing games but for me i don't that much i mean the graphics and control are good but the game just goes way! to fast
F-Zero a speedy failure...

The first game i bought and it was disapointing.....
The grapichs are not very good and the controls aren't very nice to. I think this a funny race game but that's it: 1. it's ugly 2.the controls are weird 3. don't buy, buy another race game like gt advance Championship!
One of the best racing games ever!!

F-Zero: This game is fun to play, but is limited in options. The racing is fun and the graphics are decent, but the game grows boring after a while. The multiplayer is good if all participants have the game, but if only one person does, the racing is extremely limited and becomes boring after the first race, when you realize that you are racing the same car on the same track every time!
