F-Zero:Maximum Velocity was good on the Super NES, but this is better. Here's my Rating:

Graphics:5-Very Good! Leaves F-Zero on the Super NES in the dust!

Sound:4.5 Nice sound effects, but music can be annoying.

Controls:4.0 Good controls, but it'll take a while to get used to.

The best handheld racing game to date!

If You Have A Game Boy Advance Then This Is A Must Buy!

F-Zero is back! There are lots of new racer, including J.B. Crystal and Fireball, and much more.Captain Falcon may be gone(though there is a GameShark code to get him),but the new racers are an instant classic. You race through many, many courses through the Pawn, Knight,Bishop, and Queen tounaments.Don't exept to start winning races from the moment you start;this game is the hardest in the F-Zero series. The graphics are the best I've seen on any portable system. The graphics are in 3-D!You can also race with up to four freinds with one game pack(this will save lots of money for kids). If you own a GBA,you MUST buy this!

Great racing game for experts or beginners!

My sister got this for her 9th birthday, and it's one of the best games i've played since I got my first GameBoy! This is the first racing game I have played so i'm not an expert on the best racing games, but this is perfect if you're a beginner (challenging for experts too!). There are three options:
Begginer
Standard
Expert
Master (Master shows up when you complete the first three in the grand prix)
You can choose either multipack racing or singlepack racing so you can race with a friend, all you need are two GBAs,
a GBA link cable, and 1 F-Zero cartridge!!!
It is hard at first, but it'll get easier as you progress.

If you liked F-Zero for SNES, then you'll like this

If you loved F-Zero, then get this game. It's the same as it was, same gameplay, graphics. Just a fun and addicting race game. If you've never played F-Zero, this is a great race game, once you get used to the controls (watch the demo by pressing Select at the main screen, the demo will walk you through how to control your hovercraft.) No powerups like Mario Kart, but speed boosts and jumps and fasted paced than Mario Kart. This game has great replay value.

20 levels (5 you have to unlock)
4 skill levels (1 you have to unlock)
10 hovercrafts (6 you have to unlock)

F Zero the good and the bad.

Well after about 3 years of waiting the sequel to F Zero X is finally here. Now that I think about it this game was like a tasty little appetizer to F Zero GX which is a game that came out last year.Where do I start?Oh the graphics.I happen to think that they are better than the ones in the SNES classic which came out in 91 but obviously not as good as the graphics in F Zero X or F Zero GX.Yeah I know F Zero X got a lot of complaints about it not being detailed enough but when you think about it the graphics were just really colorful and had some scenery that really stood out like the skull in Devils Forest, the statue in Big Hand or the space station in Big Blue.I still think the graphics in this game really look good for a portable system.Yeah they may not be gorgeous as the ones in Metroid Zero Mission but to me they still look great. And now for the controls. They are everything youd expect and want from an F Zero game.Really good and easy to use.The game really gets easier when you find out that you cant just hold the A button down at all times you have to repeatedly tap it.And it also easier when you get used to the fast paced speed and sort of memorize the tracks which is easy for me cause I have like a photographic memory. And for the hovercraft. You dont get to unlock as many vehicles as you did in F Zero X or F Zero GX but that doesnt matter. It admittedly loses a little replay value after you unlock all the cars but if replay value just means that it keeps you coming back for more then this game has great replay value.Yep this is one of the best if not the best racing game for the GBA because its one you will definitely want to play again.

Good launch game brought down by a poor soundtrack.

While I still play this more than most of my Game Boy Advance games it is a little disappointing.Yeah yeah yeah the speed is excellent and its pretty fun but thats about it.Its really not as good as any of the other F Zero games Ive played and I think its because of a poor soundtrack.I really liked the music in the past 2 F Zero games but the music here was just too bland and it was mostly drowned out by the sound of the vehicles engine.I know that a soundtrack isnt everything but to me it adds more fun to the gameplay.Hopefully the new F Zero game coming out in September will be better but if you play your Game Boy Advance a lot and like racing you should still buy it.

Simply The Best!!!!!

i just want to say this is a great game. to the guy who said it was bad because of the 1 cart multiplayer: what can you expect? this is the first time anything like this has been done before! if you want all the tracks and cars, you have to use more than 1 cart. be thankful it is there at all.

BTW, if you wnat complete 1 cart multiplayer, wait for mario kart: they pushed the launch back to work mor eon the multiplayer

awesome

this is a game u dont get tired of esily. its fast and fun. there are 3 difficulty levels : beginner, standard -must beet this to earn a secret character-and expert -also beat this to ern a secret character. There are also three series: pawn, knight, and bishop. Beat those 3 on standard difficulty to earn a secret character. also beat them on expert to ern another secret character. there are 10 racers in all. expert is hard because all the other racers are twice as fast and u r still regular speed, but if u look over this little pain this is a great game. it will keep u occupied 4 a long time and u will never get tired of it. it has multiplayer& u can hook up with other people with just one game-thats cool although there is no music and the game picks u'r racer-but not when everyone has their own game. like i said this is a great game-the graphics are wat u would expect 4 a gameboy but a little better & the music is good :overall its a good game & i highly recommend it .
