This is the super nintendo version souped up eith better graphics and more tracks. The game has a small learning curve but if you were good at F-zero back in the day it will all come back to you in no time. The speed is great and everything translates well to the advance screen size. I have no problems at all with this racer and it's a must buy next to Fire pro wrestling. Advance has had the best launch game of any system is the history of gaming and with titles like these and other on the way everyone should pick it up.

I just got this game and the system today at Target. I only had this game so I played it. I knew it would be good because it is a F-Zero game and all F-Zero games are real good. After I played it for about 1 hour without stopping, I put it down. It is a good game with incredibly good graphics for a handheld. The game has cool cars and race tracks. The game is hard so it is pretty chalenging. It is a game that I would recomend to buy with your Game Boy Advance when you get one. Buy this game you will deffinetly not regret it.
Good Racing Game!

I bought this hoping for the best and it was just about what I thought. It is a very fast paced game, the controls take some practice. Good graphics and descent sound effects. You better excercise your thumb if you dont want to cramp up.

This game is the best for GBA. It has every thing a gamer would want in a hovercraft racing game. I have tried it alot, but if you have the super Nes version this f-zero blows it totally away. With it's great grafics. It really shows how powerful the Game Boy Advanced is really made of. So what else could you want in a game. It has great sound, tracks, and cars. I don't know about you but i am exited until it comes out on the american version!!!!

This game rocks! It has beautiful graphics and I haven't seen it slow down because of too many sprites or anything...like the super nes used to do. It's very challenging but I think that this adds to the fun because it keeps you coming back. I hate playing games you can beat in a day, and this definately isn't one of those...If you have trouble winning races in the beginning, I would recommend using the "JB Crystal" vehicle because it gives you the best control. My only complaint is that I wish the gameboy advance was more ergonomic! Using the top buttons hurt...ouch!
An excellent game. Not too hard not too easy. A-

At first this game was pretty hard for me.It was a little too fast at first and I wasnt used to the tracks but after a while it became sort of a breeze and I got to the last level of Bishop.Dont worry though it isnt so easy that its boring. You still have to try to place first and the speed is pretty challenging. The graphics are in the classic F Zero style and I think its actually the fastest F Zero game Ive played. Its destined to become a classic like the F Zero predecessor but it isnt the best F Zero game. That title must be put onto F Zero X for the Nintendo 64. I was a bit disappointed that the cars in Maximum Velocity didnt have characters. The characters of F Zero are part of its charm.F Zero X and F Zero GX both have tons of characters and those games are a little more exciting visually than this one but still this is a great game.

This reveiw corresponds to the SNES version of F Zero however I have heard from reliable sources that this is prety much a strait port. This game is a futreristic space racing game. Its very fun(and adictive)the sound and graphics are great(especially for handheld system)Now dont get me wrong this definately improves with no real sign of anything changeing for the worst.
Ok... But boring

This game was very good, as a look at the box game, but not as a playing game. Well.... I got to give it some credit, because the graphics are sweet. Also its fun to play the first few times, but the next levels are way too hard for beginners. I got to say it good if you want to play it 24/7 but it is pretty hard so dont get your hopes up.
Final line: Its ok but dont get your hands on it till it goes done in price, unless you have the commitment to actully beet it and not just leave it there on the side.
Super game, fantastic graphics, poor turning, few hovercars

This game is sooo cool for several reasons:1.The graphics are cool and exactly the same as the super nes version.2.It's fun to do multiplayer, but you can only do one race with the same vehicles with different colors IF you only have one game cartridge. You probably won't find someone else with the same game though.3. The game is fast, which is exciting in 3-D for GBA.
The down part is there are only 4 hovercars to choose from, and only one, the J-B Crystal, has the best turning and speed. It is really frustrating to use all the other cars because none of them are nearly as good as J-b Crystal.
Overall, you probably would want this game, but consider what I said.
A little disappointing but still great.

F Zero X was one of my favorite games on the Nintendo 64 so I was absolutely thrilled to hear that there was an F Zero game coming out for the Game Boy Advance and while it wasnt exactly what I was expecting it was still a great game.I think that the people that were disappointed in this game were the people who are addicted to F Zero X for the N64 and F Zero GX for the Nintendo Game Cube.In this game you dont drive on cylinders or over tubes but it is still fun.I think a lot of people were hoping it would look like F Zero X but the GBA is only 32 bit so they shouldnt have expected it to look like that.I think the graphics look absolutely great for a 32 bit system and the speed is extremely fast. You have to have good reflexes to play a game like this.Fortunately it gets easier the more you practice. When you memorize the tracks it becomes pretty easy and the game is true to the original F Zero on the Super Nintendo. So I say to you before you buy this game expect tracks like the ones in the SNES original and not like the newer games.
