This game is the best strategy game ever, on any console.
Graphics: Brilliant animated battles, and maps are clear as well
Sound: Clear and very good, the best i've heard in a gameboy advanced game so far
Gameplay: Not too easy not too hard, great learning curve
Conclusion: This game should provide you for hours and hours of mobile strategy fun. Beware: Turn based strategy might not be your cup of tea, otherwise BUY IT.

Let me start by saying, I've never played any turn-based strategy games before this one. Now, to business. This game is, in itself, the reason you should get a GBA. Great graphics and animations, neat sound (Sonja and Nell have the greatest music!), gameplay that will keep you buying the batteries...
Now if only they'd make something related to this for the Gamecube.
An Amazing Game... period.

Advance Wars is one of the first games released for the GBA actually proves and maximizes the system's capabilities.
For years, strategy games have been limited to computers, and those that have been ported to consoles have ultimately failed or lacked certain features or the charm found in the original. Advance Wars breaks that chain by delivering a impermiable war game with great graphics, perfect control, and an infiniate amount of strategies. Play through the field missions, and you'll be hooked, addicted.
Like Othello, this game takes a minute to learn but will probably never be mastered, and thus I reccomend it for all age and gameplay levels.
This has been the first game I have played in a long time that has made me want to completely abandon reality and just gorge in its digital gaming goodness forever. (Last game that did this was FFVII!!!)

Seriously, you will be addicted to this great game as soon as you buy it. Great plot, easy controls, good graphics, and mind bending gameplay make this game irresistable. I especially like all of the CO powers. You have to see this game to beleive it!!!

I must confess to having a somewhat lacking knowledge of turn based strategy games. I have never truly been taken by the command and conquers of this world either. However, I may have just been persuaded...
Advance wars has to be one of the best games available for the Gameboy Advance. It shows that just because it has not got the visuals of a super console or surround sound (for example)it plays an absolute peach of a game. This is due in no small part to the fact that it is such an easy game to pick up and that it gradually becomes harder to master. The field training allows you to get to grips with the basics and slowly introduces the intricacies of the game.Wonderful.
Being honest, I have not yet finished the game, but I know that I will playing on this for what seems like forever. Addictiveness is a key element (especially in a hand held game) that aids the games appeal and longitivity. Advance Wars simply oozes it. You will not tire of this easily. Oh, I have not even delved into the map designing, multiplayer and trading aspects of this brilliant game! When I first played on this game, I thought I'd gone to heaven, the graphics are astonishing, there are so many different game styles and extras, but the Multiplayer has to be the best. It allows you to challenge your friends in battle, with just one cartridge and one GBA, and the action is frantic, fun and furious. I've had the game for about 3 months and I'm still constantly playing this game. This is definately the best game and a must have for any GBA owner. BUY THIS GAME, EVEN IF YOU NEED TO SELL YOUR HOUSE!!

This is an incredible display of the graphics and flexibility of the Game Boy Advance unit. This game is fun for teens and up. The training missions make it easy to learn. If you pick up one game for game boy advance make this the one!
