All together, the game is awesome. The only thing I didnt like is that the story was too short.. Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 are the best games out.
Way better then halo...WAY WAY Better!
Gets an A for effort... at least they tried

I was fairly excited to play Vegas 2 online. At first, the game was exciting, but after a while of play, the faults of the game were just too obvious. This is without a doubt one of the most frustrating games to play online. The blame lies in both the developers and the players. I'll explain the problems further below.
List of my likes and dislikes:
* Customization of your character is fun and exciting. No two players online will be the same. On top of that, you can make custom faces (i.e. your own face) to put in the game. I haven't tried this feature, but just the thought of being able to do so is thrilling. You can customize everything from clothing, armor, and camouflage. A big plus to the developers on this one.
* You unlock new weapons by going through the A.C.E.S. I forgot what it stands for, but I'll explain what it does. The ACES is divided into three categories: Marksman, Assault, and CQC. You add points to each categories based on how you score a kill. After so many points, you gain a level (up to 20 levels per category) within the category and you can either get a new weapon or more experiences toward your overall rank. I thought this was a pretty cool idea, but some of the weapons within each category make no sense. For example, in the Assault category, you mainly score points by using explosives, but yet the weapons within the category have nothing to do with explosives.
* Finding a match online is just flat out frustrating. The lag is nearly unbearable. It seems like the host needs a very good connection in order to host large amount of players. Indeed, the developers can't control this, but I'm guessing they could at least minimize the lag by sending smaller packets.
* You will get kicked and banned a lot in this game. I don't know why too. It just seems like every other game I go in results in me getting kicked or banned. I have a mic, and I usually don't talk.
* Small maps and same respawn points. I'm assuming the developers made the maps so that you play one round then load another map. The problem is most game hosts use unlimited respawns, which sometimes cause losing teams to be stuck at their own spawn point and unable to get out of it while the other team sits and wait for you to come out of your spawn point. You do get a 5 second shield, which makes you invincible for about 5 seconds when you first respawn. Problem is some people are clever enough to wait outside of the spawn point near a door such that your 5 second shield is gone. I would have loved the game if the developers made it smart enough to respawn at another location on the map once the other team overrun the current position.
* Some guns look unrealistic. For example the 92FS looks like it has a huge hole in the center. Other ones look funny enough to me. I thought I was using a supersoaker when I first saw the M468.
Overall, I liked the game. But the flaw of the respawn system and the constant kicking and banning and the unbearable lag makes the game not worthy enough for me to play online. Please don't purchase for the full price. Wait until it becomes 19.99 and get it then. The price and content just don't go together. You pay too much for something that seems broken.

Not the Vegas we all know. But, a pretty good game nonetheless. I like the new terrorist hunt for quick killing. I do think the AI is a bit better and natural. I did find more bugs than R6V1. I would occationally, unexpectedly just die...no enemies in sight...just dead. I would also sometimes randomly drop into a part of the map I'd previously been. Near the end, as I was about to fastrope to the airport hanger with the white lear jet, I suddenly was transported back to the previous map, in an area I could not get out of....trapped. No biggie, but anoying. I don't regret this one. I just wish they would bring back an updated Ghost Recon or Island Thunder titel....now that was awsome controlling two teams and be able to switch to any of the characters. Loved that one and want another...

What a disappointment. Aside from the fact that it's basically a rehash of the first episode, my copy of the game was/is plagued with all kinds of bugs /technical glitches...the most annoying being the fact that the game cuts out 3/4 of the way through playing the primary storyline. I get a 'Disc Unreadable' error and then it craps out. After several attempts to get ahold of ANYONE at Ubisoft, I've resigned to just selling it at Gamestop without even completing the game. Awful.

This game is pretty cool. The only flaw is that it has a short storyline.

RB6V2 is the absolute best shooter out right now. I have them all and I enjoy this one the most. I loved the ability to customize your character to your own liking and the ablity to save your rank as you progress. Not only in the story and multi player mode, but online as well. This is a great game. I can never put it down.
To every game maker- Keep trying

This game is worth the purchase. The best thing is that you CAN play split screen COOP with someone else in your own living room, which is mostly how I play it. The worst: tossing a grenade is a joke. Be ready for a limp wristed toss that falls far short of your intended targets and blows you up. This is not the case in COD4. Another surprising problem is that you can't climb every rope that enemies use to repel down. Why not? This game is NOT as entertaining as COD4 and has nowhere near the production quality nor story quality in single player. Online play may be good. I am still hoping for a local coop mode in a COD game. When that happens I may buy two just to up the sales stats to show there is a demand for it. Come on IW, get with it.
quite a bit rushed

having enjoyed the original RAINBOW SIX VEGAS i was really looking forward to getting this. i was looking forward to playing this online. man was i disappointed. almost to the point of being p****d off. no respawns on ranked play. as soon as you're dead that's it. and i thought SPLINTER CELL sucked. i would've given it another 6 months to fix all this crap that could've been done. if they would've waited longer fore more to be done or given us regular deathmatch as a download then i would've rated it better. Mr. Clancy we want a better installment for RAINBOW SIX VEGAS 3 this time.

I'm going to be honest i've never played the rainbow six series and since all the reviews keep talking about how this game is still looking like the other ones before, i'm not going to sit here and tell you that you all are wrong so i'm just going to say what i think. For me this is the best game out there right now and no reviews that any one of you post it's going to make change my mind, this game for me is a complete game there is nothing missing from single player and multiplayer even though i'm going to admit that i haven't play it on-line but i think, i still think that is the best and specially if you are a splinter cell fan ''like i am''.

After playing RSV and beating it within a week, I was anxious to get my hands on RSV2, thinking that the challenges that faced me in it would be greater, the excitement higher. While I like the changes that they made to the game (the ability to personalize your character), the other things that are lacking make that one change pale.
After RSV being based soley in Vegas' casino drive, I expected the second one to be based in the Vegas casinos as well; however, there is only one scene in the game that actually occurs in a casino. You don't even realize that you are continuing from the first game until nearly the end of the game. The screenplay/script lacks....RSV you had an idea of why you were doing what you were doing....RSV2 doesn't really put any excitement into it.
All in all, the game wasn't too difficult to play. I bought it on Wednesday and completed it on Sunday (not playing it for more than a few hours here and there). I'm glad I bought it because I got to give Gabriel what he deserved, but other than that, I wasn't impressed.
