I completely agree with the previous reviewers point, where is Las Vegas in this game? My favorite levels in R6V1 were the casino levels, without that you would have just your typical generic shooter terrain and this is what we have in R6V2, there's absolutely no reason to have Vegas in the name. If you're going to have a "sequel" to an amazingly beautiful game like the first one don't let us all down in the same way GRAW2 really blew it with a short storyline and the generic terrain. I played the first one through many times, this one I don't see playing through more than twice so the value is just not there; like most sequels they get you with the first one and phone it in after that, don't pay full price for this game, you can get the first one for five dollars and get a much better game.
The controls are the same as the first one, which worked so well so why change it?
For me the customization is meaningless as I play single player only and to me seems a little tedious with the colors, etc. The weapons are all pretty much the same, one thing I didn't like was the locked weapons and the stupid points system to unlock them, please do this for online only where it makes sense.
But what is with that, if you are a 3 man team saving the world you'll have any weapon you want from the start. It would make more sense to have the advanced weapons available at the more advanced difficulty settings and leave the points crap.
Retread of good game equals junk

I just finished wasting my time on yet another video game. As you can tell by the title it was Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. And as you can also tell by the title I thought it was a total piece of crap. Now, I really liked the first one, Rainbow Six: Vegas. It was a lot of fun. The story is kind of vague but enough to pay attention to and know what was driving the story. This game, Vegas 2, is like the ultimate phoned in piece of junk I have ever played. Somehow they took a fun game and made it tedious and repetitive. Zero new in the game. Somehow the AI is dumber. Audio mix ALL over the place. half the time I had no idea what people were saying because of fire too close by, or we were in a helicopter or they appeared to be mumbling about something I assumed was plot related but usually didn't matter since you can't really get lost or proceed past your objective. I really can't say anything good about this game. When it was too hard it was like pretty insanely hard at the normal level. When it was not hard it was just repetitive and annoying.
Possibly the lamest thing was that the fact that your AI soldier guys say like 3-4 things MAX. So if you like hearing "WHO-AA!" or "Anyone keeping score?" or "Tango Down" or some variation you're in for a treat! If not it get really boring fast. Next thing about them is that they get stuck. Like in a puddle of water. Or behind a barrel about 3 feet tall. And when that happens they won't come when you call. The only way to free them is to nudge them out from what they are stuck behind. This happens when there is clear way around the objects they are caught behind. Its some weird glitch. So more than a few times the game comes to a halt and you have to go back and figure out where and what your guys are stuck behind.
Then there were audio glitches where the sound of a machine gun would go on and on and on for no reason until you paused the game. Also if you ran to fast you could see the bad guys generating. So you'd sprint ahead and look into an empty building and then pop suddenly there is a guy there and he is shooting at you.
Go back, buy the first one and then pass on this one.
Very Disappointing, Especially If You Have COD4

This game is a huge letdown. The graphics, while good compared to most games, are not in the same league as COD4. The game, at least the online play, is not nearly as smooth as COD4, close combat is awkward, and the game is just lacking. The graphics lack the refinements, small movements and details that COD4 has. I'm prob going to play for a few more days and just sell the game. It's not nearly as fun as COD4, and the camping, cheapness, etc. that existed in the first Rainbow Six, continue on in this game.

The best way I can describe this game is extension pack. No different than the first one. As a former fan of the Rainbow six series I'm embarrassed to say that I was a fan in the first place. Ubisoft has indeed let its loyal fans down in its long awaited answer to COD4 with this game. As much as I hate to say it I guess Rainbow might have peeked to its peek, I guess it's time to take ol Rainbow to the back of the barn and put her out of her misery with a COD4 air strike. I'll defiantly be returning this game back to Gamestop for a real game.
A shame from Ubisoft

Wow, it took me less than 18 h to beat this game... The AI is just bad, it reminds me of some of my first shooter 10-12 years ago!!! The control are clumsy, must be remapped, and the game crashed 4 time on my 360.... I am REALLY disapointed, RSV 1 was such a great game
It's Funny to read the comments from "user" on my review: Looks like Ubisoft PR is trying hard to save this game from the hall of shame.
No splitscreen in Multiplayer

Contrary to what the developers said about this game, it does not include an online splitscreen mode. You either play online or you play splitscreen. You can have multiple custom characters that can be used in splitscreen which is an improvement over the original rsv.
That is my only complaint thus far with the game. I was a huge fan of rainbow six vegas 1 and I think the maps and co-op story are way better in this version thus far.
Online function isnt as good as Halo, but is improved. Definitely a much better game than its original, so if you liked that, you will have a great time with this one.

A great sequel to a great game, exactly what I wanted, co-op is perfect, its cool that your friends can join in progress. If you are a fan of swat based shooters and want something different then call of duty 4, then you have to pick this game up!!
Disappointing - Seriously

Just bought the game, and this was the worste 60 dollars spent. Graphics are nothing to brag about. Gameplay is nothing special, feels like I am playing a game that game out years ago. Tom Clancy needs to step his game up. I will be returning this game to EB Games ASAP. COD4 for the win.
Do Not Buy!!!
The Perfect Shooter?

I'll keep it short and sweet, this game isn't the perfect shooter. This is just R6V1, With a shiny new cover, some unimpressive features, and without Las Vegas. The game lags in key battles, The guns and armor are almost all identical, and the guns are the same, with a couple (3-5 maybe) new additions. If your a Gamer, please pass on this game and rent it for a cheap thrill, if you like being bored after 1-2 weeks, or if you like to promote sub-par games, so we keep getting junk games to play buy away! Bottom line, the game could have been good, maybe great, but it was just thrown out to sell quantity, and not quality, don't be fooled. Thanks!
ok, but not great

The graphics look very cartoonish compared with COD4, however the sound is great with surround sound. Nice to have terrist hunt co-op with split screen.
