We bought this game when we purched our Dreamcast. This is the least played game that my daughter plays.

This is even better than the first one. I play it NON=STOP. hahaha. ;) It's got an excellent plot and it's not that kinda game that you can beat in a day. It's totally awesome.
Too bad it's not as good as Battle...

This is a 3-star value. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle exclusively for Nintendo Gamecube is better for 4 reasons:
1. Better graphics.
SA2 has some neat graphics, but Sonic & the gang look better on Gamecube (DC is 128-bit, GC is 162-bit).
2. Better 2P mode.
SA2: Battle's possibilities are endless (Chaos & Knuckles in Hunting, Dark Chao Walker and Tails in Shooting, Metal Sonic and Sonic in Racing or 2 of 3 girls, Tikal and Rouge in Hunting, Chao Walker and Eggman in Shooting, or Amy and Shadow in Racing, as well as a ton more stages (Dry Lagoon, Mad Space, Death Chamber, City Escape, Metal Harbor, White Jungle, Cosmic Wall, Hidden Base, Iron Gate) as well as bonuses (Downtown & Grind Races (racing) Deck & Pyramid Races (shooting) as well as Pool & Planet Quests (hunting)).
3. Better Chao raising.
You now can buy 7 fruits, 8 seeds, eggs, and masks for your Chao, play Chao Karate, get more tips from the Principal, take more classes, earn more races, and name your Chao in game.
4. Game Boy Advance compatibility.
Sonic Advance and SA2: Battle can hook up with a link so you can play and train your Chao on the go. You can buy fruits and earn toys there as well.
That is what you can do with .5 more gigs.

When I first played the demo for this game I was pretty excited, but when I got the game I was immediatley disappointed.If your expecting a remake or similarities of the first game, let me just say think again. All you do is select your side (Hero or Dark) and play the scenerio and get all the emblems plain and simple. Besides that the camera angles are a mess you'll get SO frustrated with them. Finally this game is very plain and simple I personally beat the game (without all emblems) in two days but its all how you play. If your a hardcore Sonic fan buy it but expect to be disappointed.
Sonic 1 is better

This game lacks some of what sonic 1 had you can't go around town square and talk to people. Sonic One was a lot more adventure filled than Sonic 2. I think If you want to save money just get sonic 1 and wait for the price of sonic 2 to drop

This game litteraly stinks when it comes to graphics! I give it four stars**** because of the graphics! (But since that is one subject I take away one star). I mean, Eggman and Sonic DO NOT LOOK LIKE THAT!! But if you count plot, characturistics, and the new stuff (Sonic and Shadow doing somersaults, and grinding, Tails and Robotnick using homing missles, giant robotic legs, and being able to use Robotnick in a Chao garden, Evil Chao, and Hero Chao, Evil Chao garden and Hero Chao garden, ect.) All of that is a great gift to us from Sonic's 10th birthday. So if you are a person who dosn't need and backround and starts the job and likes to learn about other charactors special stuff and don't care how stupid they look, this is the game for you! (you would also be a good spier!) ^ ^ -

sonic adventure 2 is a great game. The first one had those hubs that you had to run around in . SA2 doesn't wich makes it a lot faster. Sonic and Shadows levles are some of the best I've ever played in a video game. robotnick and tails arefun too. the one complaint I have is that the knuckles and rouge levels are boring. They take forever and they're are way to many of their levels. The 2 player mode is alot of fun , especially the sonic vs. shadow. right now I'm stuck on the Last Satge wich os very hard but very fun too. Overall great.

The game rocks but there are a few kinks in it, AKA Knux/Rouge looking for some rock isn't too fun y'know, they could've gotten better voice actors too but they're okay. other than that this game rocks!
