Shenmue the best game ever

Shenmue is just one of those games that personofies a system. Shenmue brings the greatest graphics ever to be released on any system. After I purchased a import copy. I couldn't take my hand of it. The gameplay is just as amazing as the control. In all I would have to say it's the best game ever

Where can i begin with Shen Mue its like a movie- There are SO MANY areas to explore in like the local arcade, Game You or you can go to your job on the fork lift and move boxes around there is so much to do I recodmend for anyone 13 and over its on 4 cds 3 for the game and a Shen Mue PAssport disk A+

Shenmue is without questin one of the best games I have ever played. I am a diehard rpg fan and this game has enough rpg elements to keep any fan happy for quite some time. Not only that, it also has many different attributes for those looking for an action game. You fight with many people in real time and it never gets boring or repetitive. But the control is intuitive and easy to pick up. One of the greatest things about this game is the depth of storyline and overall gameplay. There are so many small things you can do to make you feel like you are an integral part of this virtual world. the storyline is also great although I won't reveal the twists to those of you who havn't played the game. That would spoil some of the fun wouldn't it? But thats not to say that this game doesn't have excellent replay value. You can do it over and over again and never get bored. It has kept me up into the early hours of the morning more than several times and all but depleted my supply of coffee. One last thing is the graphics. they are some of the most beautifal I have ever seen. You will start to question whether going through the glass screen on your t.v will be leaving the real world or going into it. They are just downwright amazing. The Bottom line is buy this game no matter what Genre your a fan of. This is truly a game that defies classification. Even if you dont have a dreamcast you can buy one of those as well. But whatever you have to do GET THIS GAME. You will find that this alone is enough reason to own a dreamcast.

There is no way to explain Shenmue in ANY way, except this: it is the FIRST game where you can effectively do ANYTHING you want. Even if you DON'T like video games, you'd like this. The scenery, people, and events are JUST LIKE REALITY. The fighting engine on this game even rivals those of TRUE fighting games. It's the first of it's kind, and on a scale of 1-10, it's a 25. When you play it, you'll think the same.

What can be said about the most expensive game ever made except it has to be considered a masterpiece! The detail in this game is so real it's scary, the only way you know your playing a game is by the loading times without them you actually feel as if your in the game! If you own a Dreamcast you need to get this game and be a part of video game history!

This game is a great way to explore life. You play a high school student who is looking for his father's killer while needing to get a job. You can play videogames in the local arcade, buy toys, buy a saturn similar system and play games on it, make phone calls, and do anything you would want to do as of real life. Aside from the real story you can do all these things and more. You can do almost anything you can do in real life. But all this comes with a price. The game isn't finished. You only get a small portion of the story. You don't even get to meet the only other main character. And she's in almost all the Shenmue pictures! Expect to spend hundreds to actually buy the entire game. Cus' I heard from a guy that there's gonna be 8 chapters for shenmue(Not confirmed). And this is only Chapter 1!

The last reviewer says to expect to pay hundreds for this game... he can only be referring to the Japanese version of the game which was released in chapters, one to a disc. The US version is not that way. The US version includes 3 GD ROMS for the game, plus a 4th GD ROM that has online options.

Shenmue is a breakthrough in videogame technology. You may think it is trivial to be able to walk into a store in a videogame and buy any item you find, because in terms of reality, that is nothing new. But in a videogame, that is amazing. This game offers a different experience to everyone that plays it.

Yet Another Reason to own Dreamcast

Yu Suzuki really went all out on this one. Millions of dollars in production. Spanning four GD-ROMs. This is a true theatrical masterpiece. For everyone waiting for a ground-breaking title and yet another reason to own Dreamcast, this is it. Every thinkable detail has been implemented in this marvel of video gaming. Although this is only the first of four Shenmue, it is HUGE. Everyone should own this game. Period. I'm looking forward to this, so should you.

Forget everything about the criticism you've heard about it. It is the best game made for dreamcast so far. It has amazing graphics, and amazing details. This is a must-have title.
