Bought this game for our 15 year old daughter for her birthday. She and her two younger brothers love it, not to mention my husband and I as well. There aren't too many video games that are fun for the whole family, so I highly recommend this one!

This is a fun game and at first it is a little difficult but with practice it gets easier.

I love this game! The music selection is great (and I'm not even a rock music fan) and the game is very polished. Short list of things I love the most:
- The Easy mode is a great entry-level mode. Non-gamers won't have any trouble starting out.
- The Expert mode is a real challenge! The game has lasting replay value with some incredibly difficult songs.
- Cooperative Multiplayer Mode! Get a second guitar and play a bass/rhythm line alongside the lead. Incredibly fun!
- Listen to the audience react! They start cheering when you use Star Power and they groan along with you if you make a mistake while doing well.
- Great for parties! The Quick Play mode lets you pick any song you've unlocked.
- Many improvements over the original Guitar Hero game. Hammer-ons and pull-offs are easier, plus they fixed some annoying things about the UI.

Do you have what it takes to be a Guitar Hero? Get this game and find out!

My son has become a budding rock star with the guitar hero game. It's not too hard for beginners to get the hang of it, then increases in difficulty as you progress through the levels. Mom and Dad have tried it also and it's a lot of non-violent fun.

This game was great for the apartment. My roommates are so attached they plan on buying their own, they surpassed me in a matter of months. Everyone who has come into contact with the game loves it. We can't wait for the next one.

this game is awsome if you are a headbanger, punker,or a plain old rock junkie like me but the only problem with the game is that the songs arent as good as GH1 so if you want to by a gituar hero game I recomend GH1!

I first played this game at a friend's house during a fairly large get together. All of us took turns playing against each other and also the guitar/bass combo. I was instantly hooked! The main songs in the game are okay though they are all covers of their original bands. I think the real meat of the game is in unlocking all of the bonus tracks. I easily purchased all of the bonus tracks after playing through all of the songs on the medium difficulty level. Generally, most of the bonus tracks are great and the guitar/vocals are spot on since they aren't covers. The learning difficulty of this game can be pretty steep unless you play this game on a regular basis (like "practicing" guitar). I have a co-worker that plays the real guitar and he picked up this game extremely quickly. He mentioned that the hammer-ons and pull offs are similar to how they are executed on a real guitar. I heard there's an 80s rock version that might come out soon. I can't wait! Highly recommended for people of all ages.
