I thought this game was awesome because it exatly like the battle city rules. In this game you actually have to summon monsters by sacrificing others, not like the other games. This allows for more stragetic game play. Also I liked that all the characters were there and it was kind of like the cartoon. The only thing wrong was the music. Turn down the volume and the game is awesome.
This is a must have, trust me ;)

Graceful Dice
Quick-Play Magic
This lets you roll a 6-sided die once. Whatever you get is multiplied by 100 and than added to your monsters Atk and Def for the rest of the turn.
Skull Dice
Quick-play Magic
This lets you roll a 6-sided die once. Whatever you get is multiplied by 100 and than deducted from your opponents monsters
for the rest of the turn.
Exchange
Magic
This allows you to swap a card from your opponents hand in exchange for one of yours.
I just thought, you guys should at least know what cards your gonna get. I hope this helps at all. I know all of you have been dying to find out this info. Your welcome in advance.
Now, for my review. This game is a must have for all Yu-Gi-Oh players. What else can you ask for? A portable Yu-Gi-Oh game. Almost every card ever made is in this game. Its your job to duel. You'll get much experience from playing this game if you play it
in real life. You can also put in your own deck of cards. Since each card has a number on the bottom left-hand corner, you can put in your own deck. Handy, huh? You dont start with every card
and like in real life, you must collect cards from different packs. You gain the chance of getting a pack by defeating opponents. New packs appear when you gain higher dueling levels. It's like real life collecting. Duel, get cards, better deck. Yu-Gi-Oh is a great game. This is a game that actually takes strategy. There are over 800 cards! Each one doing a different thing. Think of the posibilities! I highly recommend this game to anyone. You will love it. I hope my review has helped you guys out there and good luck ;)

Let me tell you from the start: I'm not a big Yu-Gi-Oh fan. I don't collect the cards much, because I'm not into TCG such as Magic or Yu-Gi-Oh, and I don't have the money. I've watched the TV show sometimes on Kids WB and I understand the basic concepts of "dueling". Well a friend reffered me to The Eternal Duelists Soul game for my newly bought Game Boy Advance.
The game is based on the Trading Card Game of Yu-Gi-Oh. I did not know much about the card game, but my knowledge of the TV show took over and I learned to play pretty quickly. You have a deck with 40 to 60 cards and you battle your deck against other duelists. The Immortal Eternal Duelists Soul allows you to battle and trade with other duelists which is certaintly a plus. The basics of dueling are pretty simple. You have monster cards, magic cards, trap cards, and fusion monster cards. Monster cards are your monsters, used to fight against other monsters belonging to your opponents. You will see a number on it, i.e. the Dark Magician with 2500, 2000. The higher the attack the better and the higher monster wins. Say you attack your opponents Gemini Elf 1900 600. The Dark Magician wins and subtracts 2500-1900 or 600 points from your opponents life points. You start out with 8000 life points, and the first to reach 0 loses. The other way to lose is if you run out of cards in your 60 pile deck, or if your opponents gain all 5 pieces of the cards of Exodia. If your opponents have no monster on the field, you can make a direct attack and the Dark Magician would subtract 2500 life points. I simplified thew rules a little. Don't worry, a basic handbook explains how to play. Magic cards are cards that are played that have a certain effect. "Dark Hole" destroys all monsters, "Swords of Revealing Light" forbids your opponent to attack for 3 turns, and etc. Trap Cards are placed faced down and can be activated at a specific time (normally when your opponent attacks) and also has a certain effect similar to Magic Cards. Fusion monsters are more powerful monsters that can be bought together by sacrificing two other monsters and with a magic card "Polymerization".
The game catches on to you cand you can be really sucked in. You start by battling Tristan, Tea, Joey, Yugi, and Bakura. They each are fairly simple to beat. When you win you get a booster with 9 cards to help you out and construct your deck to be better. Eventually you unlock more characters and slowly improve your deck. I will not go too in-depth on strategies.
Dueling is fun, and though you might not collect the Trading Cards, Yu-Gi-Oh The Eternal Dueltists Soul is a pretty fun game. My personal preferences in video games are action games with exploration and interaction, rather than choosing cards, but Yu-Gi-Oh might lack the exploration, but it is still a fun game to play. Overall I would reccomend it to Yu-Gi-Oh fans and strategy game fans altogether. It is a solid game and a good job by Konami.

this game is awsome i just bought it a month ago from this website there is not one thing i don't like my favorite part is that i get to duel against yugi and kaiba and other main characters another part i like is that every time u win a battle u get a booster pack containing some good and some bad cards. one more thing is how u can get almost every card in the game and another thing is that every yu gi oh card has a code on the bottom left corner that u can type in and you'll atomatically get that card in your deck. THe game starts out pretty hard though but it only took me a couple hours to get the hang of it.And now i only have 47 cards but most of them r good so i highly recomend u buy this game for GBA u won't regret it and thank u for reading my review plus remember Kaiba can be really hard to beat when u first start the game.

This is by far the most realistic Yu-Gi-Oh! game availible now. The Eternal Duelist Soul uses basically the same rules as the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, unlike Forbidden Memories and Dark Duel Stories. As in the actual card game, you can have a deck with 40+ cards, and a side deck of 15 cards. Also, cards in your trunk and deck are listed alphabetically, or you can sort them by type. In the game you duel various characters from the TV show, such as Yugi, Joey, Kaiba, Mai, Yami Bakura, and Pegasus. You can first duel with 5 characters, and then unlock more in sets of five. You can set more than one Trap card per turn, set magic cards, and use monster effects in EDS. If you thought DDS was dissapointing, then get this game. It has slightly better graphics, and contains 3 actual game cards. (Since the new card ruling, you can now use them in official Konami tournaments!) The cards are as follows:EDS-001-Exchange, EDS-002-Graceful Dice, EDS-003-Skull Dice If you want to have a accurate Yu-Gi-Oh! game, get The Eternal Duelist Soul!
Best Yu-gi-oh! Game To Date

This game is veritably the best Yu-gi-oh! game that I have played to date. Unlike its predecessors, Dark Duel Stories and Forbidden Memories, this game utilizes the actual card game rules. You must tribute monsters to bring out your powerhouses; you can set as up to 5 magic/trap cards, as in the real card game. For the first time, monsters' flip effects come into play, further emulating the real card game.
There isn't much of a learning curve. Once you get into the flow of the game, then the gameplay seems like second nature. The hardest part to grasp is understanding how some cards work, and, even then, it isn't all that difficult.
The game itself isn't too hard. Naturally, as with every game, it gets increasingly difficult as you progress, but never does the game become impossible. Forbidden Memories, for example, practically never allowed you to win unless you had some ultra-powerful card. Eternal Duelist Soul, thankfully, is not like that. You can win with less powerful cards, as long as you have the magic/trap cards and a strategy to back them up.
Because of its exact emulation of the card game, this game can actually teach you how to duel in real life. Just in playing this game, I learned how to play strategically, as opposed to just with brute force. If you are in the market for a dueling game, I would highly recommend this one, especially if, like me, you play the card game as well.

This game is awsome! but when peopl say that it haz all the official rules there rong. sometimes ive been abl to activate trap cards on my own turn without it being part of a chain. in this game you choose a deck to start and duel people from the tv show. at first u can only duel 5 people but as the game goes on, you can unlock others. you also unlok difrent booster packs that have five cards each. u cant walk 'round like traditional rpgs, but its stil good. pasword mode is way better than FM. you type it in and voila you have the card. no star chips to pay(thankyou god:). the :( thing about password iz that you can only enter one password once. when you can get the relinquished pack its wiked ez to get him9relinquished that is). i hav 4. this is definitly worth the money for any body interested in yugioh. when dungeon dice monsters comes out in america get it. also buy jap ddm , you can get the translations for rulz and spedial abilities at an online search. the only difrence tween show and life is that dice unfolds difrently. i have it its fun.
It's time to Duel!

there are several reasons why you should buy this. one of them is that there are plenty of characters. in the first stage their all (good guys). there's: Yugi Muto, Joey Wheeler, Tristan Taylor, Tea Gardener, and Backura Ryou. the second stage has cheaters. there's: Mai Valentine, Mako Tsunami, Espa Roba, Rex Raptor, and Weevil Underwood. the third stage has mindslaves. there's: Rare Hunter, Arkana, Strings (the quiet one), Umbra & Lumis, and Marik Ishtar. The fourth stage has the Yami's. they are: Yami Backura, Ishizu Ishtar, Seto Kaiba (printed Kaiba Seto, Shadi, and Yami Yugi. the last stage (i think) has Maximillion Pegasus, Duel Computer and two unknown duelist. i think one is Simon Muto grandpa. you can duel, link duel, edit your deck, see your record, calendar for upcoming tournaments, trade cards (actually trade for nothing) and Codes. On the bottom left hand corner on cards is where the codes are. Type in the number you get it! So get Yu-Gi-Oh Eternal Duelist Soul!
