Hey, I liked it and I never heard of it before buying it!

Im an adult and had never heard or played this game in real life. Im a new owner of a game boy advance and had bought mario cart, and earthworm jim. I usually use my gameboy advance to pass the time as I commute by mass transit. The 2 games I had didnt really do it on the train or buss, they just werent that playable on the move. I was looking for some sort of strategy game like chess. Seemed like it would work better. This seemed like a game I had read about, "Magic the Gathering" and so I bought this. The game has been very enjoyable. Its highly addictive and because its turned based I can stop at a moments notice and slip the thing in my jacket pocket when needed. Its also easy to learn. Im on my 4th set of opponents and have yet to read the instructions. The game supports the game boy link so players can play against one another and even trade cards. Real world cards can be imputed into the game by punching its number into the game boy. A nice touch! I dont get much out of the last two things but they were still nice touches.
Parents should not have to much to worry about here. Some of the cards may have dark images and descriptions but there is really nothing sinister going on here. Its a pure logic game. Think of it this way. The game is a cross between sports cards and a pop culture, kid strategy game. It actually promotes logical thinking because at higher levels some real planning has to take place to win. Go ahead and get it!

Awesome!! A Must Buy! What was a great Hit Is EVEN BETTER!!!

I just bought this game a few days ago, along with my GBA. All I can say is that this is the best game I have ever played. I love how the flow of the game keeps going, and I'm glad they even make the charaters not extremely easy. Anyways, to all the people who are thinking about buying this game, listen to me here, Its worth your money! Here are some reasons why:

1.) Has all the best cards you can think of in it.

2.) Has a ... load of characters to face in it too.

3.) Helps build your gameplay (if you are just getting started playing the card game).

4.) Just play awesome!

I'm a true YuGiOh fan, and I just have to say BUY THIS GAME if you have a GBA. If not, find a friend who has one...and PLAY IT! I hope this was helpful

The Best Yugioh Game Yet!

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 14 / 17

I'm 15 and I have liked Yugioh since the beggining. I've played all the other Yugioh games that have come out, and I have to say that this is by far the best Yugioh game yet. I mean, now you can actually use man-eater bugs effect (destroys one of your opponents monsters on the field). And there's not a one card per turn limit like on Forbidden Memories. And another good thing is that you get three awsome cards with the game. I don't know if the games come with the same cards, but I got Graceful Dice, Skull Dice, and Exchange. If you don't know what the cards do, then buy the game and find out!I give this game a 20/10!!!

Great Game!!!

This game is great for any Yu-Gi-Oh fan. This game has awesome graphics. PLus, this game comes with three cards Skull Dice, Graceful Dice, and Exchange. There are five duelists in each level. Here is a list of the first two sets of duelists:
Level 1- Tristan, Tai, Yugi, Joey, Bakura
Level 2- Esp Roba, Mako, Rex Raptor, Weevil, Mai
You start out by picking a deck and seeing what cards you get. When you win a duel, you can select a booster pack to improve your deck. Each week you get a magazine with five cards in it. Also there are duelists tournements often.
This game is good except for the music. It is so annoying.
In the last stage of duelists I know you face Pegasus and the Perfect Deck. I guees they are super hard.

Good Luck

Eternal Duelist Soul

This game is made up of the Japanese games Duel Monster 5: Expert 1 and Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2. Konami took the way you challenged duelists in DM5 [Just pick from several per level] and combined it with the rules and dueling flow of DM6. Having played both games extensively, I can say that this game will be well worth it. EDS is made better than DDS thanks to several major changes. Duelist Level was completely removed as were some of the different Fusions. Gameplay follows the actual card game rules and Fusions in EDS. Players can collect more than 800 cards from over 12 kinds of booster packs [Many pack sets were made just for the game] and the game comes with three exclusive promos. All in all, an excellent game that is highly recommended.

Yugioh for all Eternity

My friend got this game and i was really caught up. bieng a fan of yugioh EDS is an exellent game. All the rules, many people to battle from the cartoon, it's just awsome.I am probably going to get it too, and i will trade my friend cards on the game!
Another really cool feature is that if u have a yugioh card that you want to have on the game, you go to 'passwords' in the main screen and look at the bottom-left corner of your card and there should be a #. Enter it as a password and u have the card!
Not only That, but it comes with 3 promos: Skull Dice, Graceful Dice, and Exchange. Graceful dice lets u roll a six sided dice and whatever you get adds to the monsters on your side of the field, magic card. Skull dice is the same except it takes away whatever u get from your opponents monsters, trap card. Exchange let's you look at your opponents hand and pick a card to go to your hand, your opponent does the same, magic card. These cards can also be put as passwords!

Yu-Gi-Oh The Eternal Duelist Soul Rules

This game is the greatest game out of all of the pokemon, digimon, and other japanese anime stuff out there. Why? Well, in pokemon, the battle system is just shout out what you want to do, and in the game you cant do that. Also, evolving, levels, attacks, and training are all very difficult. For Digimon, the show is about people and they have digimon friends. Pretty stupid excpet for the first season. However, the game had nothing to do with the show. Now for my analisys. The pokemon card came was stupid. Not very well thought out. The digimon card came was not very well thought out either. Now, Yu-gi-oh is a show about a boy who... drum roll... PLAYS A CARD GAME! Now, don't you think that making a card game from this show would be the closest thing to actual duel monsters? Now, in Dark Duel Stories, the only thing that was the same as the real card game was the attack and defense. Everything eles was off. Now, in the Eternal Duelist Soul, you play by the actual rules. You are in a simulation of the card game. The best part about this game is that if you are preparing to duel someone in real life, you can create your deck on the game and practice dueling a whole bunch of diffrent people on it! That is great. The only major downside to the game is that it takes so long to go through Draw Phase, Standby Phase, Main Phase 1, Battle Phase, Main Phase 2, and End Phase. Also, it goes a little too indepth on the chain aspect of it, but thats okay because it actually explains what is happening. All in all, i would say it is a good buy.

This game is very good. It has the same rules as real life, most yu gi oh games dont. There is a huge selection of cards plus the wide variety of opponents from the show. Plus you can get the 3 God cards, but you cannot use them. Overall i'd say this games a 10/10 very good game for any yu gi oh fan. And im not Karla im her son and I have the Japanese version of the game.
