I a huge fan of Nintendo, but I'm just plain sick of Mario. If you've played this game an SNES, nothing has changed much, so you will get bored of it very quickly. As for people who never played this game before, well if you're sick of Mario like me, don't bother. But, if you like Mario get it, but don't expect to play it long. After two weeks you won't want it any more.
Well, anyways, in my opinion, there is WAY to many Mario games out there, Which include: Super Mario Advance, Super Mario Bros. 3, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Super Mario 64, Mario Tennis, Super Smash Bros., Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Mario Deluxe, Luigi's Mansion, this game, and several others. Plus not to mention future releases which are: Mario Sunshine, Mario Golf, and another Mario Tennis. So as you can see, I'm Marioed out for life.
There is no point to play Mario anymore anyways. We now have Wrestle Mania x8, Golden Sun, Zelda, Star Fox, and tons of other great games out there. So, in my opinion, Mario is just stupid.

Growing up in a not-so-financially stable home, the SNES was the only gaming luxury I had growing up, and the only console I've owned until I bought my DS June of last year. So you can imagine the nostalgia that overwhelms me when I picked up this copy (also, because I was poor, the only SNES game I ever owned was Super Mario World, because it came with the console).
What a joy this was. Do I need to delineate on gameplay? It was exactly like the Super Mario of old, save maybe the slightly awkward button positioning for the DS version. The only complaint I had for this game was that after completing the Secret Roads, the worlds don't turn into the Halloween themed layout that you got in the SNES version.
Because of my anal nature, I wish I had nabbed a mint copy of the original version of the GBA Super Mario World, but I was stuck with the Player's Choice Version. Either way, this is a really good game to pick up. If you've played it as a kid, don't expect anything new, as there isn't much new except for the version of Mario that you can play that has the POW block and those spiky monsters.
Great collection piece to own, and at $19.99 is light on the wallet.
AWFUL

If you loved this game on SNES then this will be horribly disapointing. I played the original so many times that this one just frustrates me b/c I can not do the necessary moves. The jumps are terrible, the graphics are amatureish, to me it is unplayable. I have never reviewed an item on Amazon even though I have been buying since 2001, but for this product I have to say DO NOT waste your money on this awful game.
Best Game EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

For a gamer like me, that is, someone who likes basic yet chalenging games, this is a must. Its fun never wears away, because there's always something new to do. Play either as Mario, who is fast but a bad jumper, or Luigi who jumps far and high. I love this game!!!!!!!!
Wow!

Kids out there bug your parents until they get it for you!!! Trust me they will be happy when on the long 5 hour drive to a family gathering you are sitting in the back not fighting with your sister or brother but enjoying it when Mario kicks butt!!! 10/10!!!!

I think that Super Mario World is a great game, but I am extremely mad at Nintendo for porting SMB, SMB2, and then skipping right to SMW. I think Super Mario Bros. 3 is the best Mario game ever. It is more chalenging has more transformations, and better enemies. Yoshi is great in SMW, but SMB3 is still better.

I have Super Mario Worl for Super Nintendo, and it is th ebest game. There are so many levels to play, and it's not one of those games that gets boring when you beat it. When this comes out you have to buy it. I know I am. The graphics are awesome, and so is the gameplay. I am glad that they are making this for GBA. IT IS THE BEST GAME EVER!!!
yoshi is the bomb!

I am getting this game at around 5:00 today and I think its better than Super Mario Bros. 3 because I have both Super Mario World and Super Mario All Stars for SNES (but I can't play them because I lost the adaptor). This is alot easier and doesn't take you a million years to finish like Super Mario Bros. 3. I hope the next Super Mario Advance will be Super Mario Bros. (1) with the Duck Hunters and after that the Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels (sort of a sequel to Super Mario Bros. 1). I can't believe they skipped them cause they were awesome, with the updated graphics, on Super Mario All Stars for the SNES.
