Amazing

I've never quite played anything like Fallout. I feel it graps the gritty aftermath of the Apocalypse quite well. There are also a million features I don't see in most RPGs. Like killin the shopkeep and nicking all his stuff...hee hee.

Violence, drugs, and sex are pretty dominant in this game.

Violence is pretty unavoidable, it IS the post-apocalypse

Drugs buff you're stats

Sex is not really sex at all. If you "do it" theres a brief flash and you're lying in bed with someone, fully clothed. Otherwise, they make statements hinting at it.

I'm just letting all you parents know before you go out and buy this game. But it's still a GREAT classic.

wow- awesome games

There's not a whole lot I can say about the Fallout games that hasn't already been said here. I mean- violence, sex, humor, a compelling storyline, an original setting, open-ended gameplay- you name it, Fallout's got it. No one should consider themselves a fan of RPGs until they've at least given these classics a try, especially the second one. If it's not the best computer role-playing game I've ever played, it's definately in the neighborhood.

2 for the price of 1!?!

for the price, there is no reason that every house hold in america doesnt have a copy of both theses games. fallout was a huge deal when it came out in late '97 and both these games are very playable to this day. if you didnt buy them when they were first released you are also in luck because (for the most part) they have been de-bugged. when fallout was first shipped it was in a almost completly unplayable form because of the glitches and bugs. the dreaded car bug from fallout 2 has also been fixed. when trying to describe these games to my friends the best I can usually come up with is, "its about as close as you'll ever get to mad max the video game." because it definatly has that road warrior style and look. if I had to pick a favorite it would probably be the sequel, even though the story is inferior to the first one, just because it has more weapons, more quests, and the game play is just as good.
bottom line is that if you dont have these games then give them a try because you cant go wrong at that price.

Fallout Blindness

This is by far the worst game I ever started to play. I felt my way through total darkness in vault 13 killing all the rats and hoping things would get better. I then felt my way through Shady Sands killing all the scorpions ( in total darkness) hoping things would get better. I then felt my way around in vault 15 ( in total darkness) trying to find the elevator and decided this game was not for me. Spending hours feeling my way around in the dark trying to find places and things while fighting rats and scorpions is not my idea of fun.

Fallout Falls Down

This game had a great opening, but came with no instructions (a serious downside) and a steep learning curve. Once I got going, it became painfully aparent that the game was tediously slow. Unless you want to spend the better part of your life playing an outdated game, pass on this one.

no more lame dungeons and dragons

If your tired of the same old crap fantasy games, buy this game, it may be dark but it sure is fun.

Not that great

The game is fun to play but has gliches, such as characters that block your exit of a room. Great game that needs a little fine tuning.

Maybe I'm spoiled, but ...

Fallout is a turn-based game, and I prefer real-time games like Diablo II and Baldur's Gate far better. Fallout just seems too slow.

Fallout the Second Greatest RPG of a dead time

Hmm.... Fallout Fallout 2 very good games both very sweet and very long. The combat is sooooo cool especially when heads blow off and arms are removed. The backgroud is cool very cool but in the wasteland there are not too many maps outside cities and important spots just the feild the mountain and the coast and the occasionally rare maps that are really cool and very unique to a unique game. The character is cool and costomizible and very fun to play he can be an ass or a champion basically with cool line options like "hey there legs looking for a good time." LOL! thats in the first one in shady sands. The party you can create is cool but in the first game it can kinda be anoying cause the armor sucks and you can only change the gun maybe while in the second you can change alot like armor combat stance and other stuff. I also like the story which can change, but only in parts of the map. Overall this is a great game but now everyone likes mmos and fps not too many stratagy and rpgs left o well peace out cause im samuel jackson!!!

Good Game, but not great

Both of these games are adictive at first, but lack much substance. the constant one way aproach and short length of the game makes it a little dull after a while. Peronaly I think the ripped off the RIFTS RPG series. RIFTS is also post nuclear apocolyptic, and the Enclave and Brotherhood of Steel resemble the RIFTS' Coalition. At first the game is so adictive that you cant stop playing and after you beat it you put it up and never play it again. Good game, but not great
