good

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 1 / 1

1) good graphics (1998 standard)
2) interesting plots (both games)
3) huge realistic world with it's own rules and justice
4) pleasant DOOM-atmosphere. no fresh water, no food. only bullets that were manufactured hundred years ago. you look at california and think "holly [cow]! i wish that really happened to hollywood!"
5) everything in the game makes sense and has proof. no more stupid magic that contradicts laws of physics.
if you actually read the FEV report from Fallout2 you'll be amazed how much sense it makes from biological point of view.

wonderful game, not for kids though

want to meet new people? want to handle weapons and get stronger, both mentally and physically? be all you can be get the fallout 1/2 bundle , now for a amazing price fallout 1 is a great game with its own unique story, but not so many extra secrets fallout 2 is...wow its better than fallout 1 in all but the storyline i think fallout is the only game where you can actually play over and over and never get tired of it until you die there are SO many different pathways to the end that I dont think 200 walkthroughs would explain them the game lets you be either good or evil, but not in a cartoony way like the BEST game of 2001 , Black and White want to get married and have a happy life with lots of money and friends? or do you want to kill children and animals and anyone else in your way and be a raging alcoholic? either way is possible in Fallout 2 get it today, before this bundle is not sold any more

PS : this game is NOT for kids at all it features blood and sexual situations and drug use not for immature kids who might wanna play with guns after playing this game... a great experience for immature adults though :)

absolutely great games

Hey guys, where can you find a better deal than this? Two amazing games together for ...bucks! And believe me, you will not regret. I recommend to play Fallout 1 first. It's relatively short, but the story is beautiful. Fallout 2 is a game you can spend months on. The NPCs are cool, there're more weapons, more side quests, dialogues are funny. It's just a fantastic game that every RPG gamer should have.

A great deal for two classics

The first two Fallout games, taking place in a post-apocalyptic southwestern United States, are fun, time-consuming RPGs. They are very open-ended, allowing you several solutions, good or evil, to problems throughout the wasteland. There are a variety of skills to choose from (such as small guns, gambling, first aid, doctor, repair, etc.), making it possible to play the games in dozens of different ways. Based on your talents, you can even become a porn star, prizefighter, or member of a crime family. You're given an opportunity to truly play your character in the way you want. At the end of each game, the results of your actions in each town are explained, making all your efforts worth the time. The humor, often dark or explicit, is quite good, but parents should think twice about buying this for a young child; there is also sexual content (nothing shown, but your character may end up knocking boots a bit, even becoming a porn star or visiting a whorehouse in the 2nd game) and gore.

By now, nearly all of the bugs (which had been the game's only real achilles heel) can be solved with downloadable patches, making this an even greater deal. If you liked the Baldur's Gate series, or any games which don't confine you to what the designer wants you to do, you should definitely pick this up.

One of the Greatest Games I Have Ever Played!

Fallout bundle is a must have for any RPG fan and action fan. It's has two great games that are fun and challenging. Heres my out-put on "Fallout 1&2 Bundle":

Graphics 9/10 ------- (Graphics are like Diablo and are showing thier age)
Sound 10/10 --------- (The sound is pretty good, pretty good music, very nice voice acting.)
Gameplay 10/10 ------ (The game play is cool, You learn skills, pearks, health, etc.)
Replay Value 9/10 --- (The replay value is really fun, you can edit your new characters, lower there stats and make it harder, and other cool things.)
Overall score: 9.5

a lot of fun

You can tell Fallout 2 is going to be a great game from the opening movie, while Louis Armstrong croons A Kiss To Build A Dream On over a campy, 50's style PSA about nuclear fallout. (Supposedly the movie for F1 is better). The game that follows is almost an interactive film of sorts. I'm more of a turn-based wargamer than RPGer, but still think this is a lot of fun.

Two warnings:
1. The jewelbox presumably lacks a manual, which could be a pain becuase the manual is very good.
2. Don't save too often. Of course you want to save a lot, but many players seem to try to re-do every scene until the outcome is perfect. This spoils the game. You must allow some bad results to affect your character, otherwise you lose any sense of tension or drama.

This Is Simply The Best Two Games Ever

You are not an official gamer until you puchase this bundle-pack. Fallout 1 and 2 are getting very rare to find, but low and behold, some genious goes and puts them together! (...) I have played almost every single major game on the market, Deus Ex, Quake 3, Baldur's Gate 2, Starcraft, Half-Life, Max Payne; but none of them compare to Fallout 1 and 2. If you want action, gore, humor, chainguns, flamethrowers, giant evil mutants, drugs, it is all here! Simply put, buy these games. If you don't have the money, then get a job. Unless you live under a rock or in a hole, you won't be sorry.

fantastic introduction

this is the first rpg/adventure pc game i have ever played. i had been intimidated by talk of frame rates and graphic cards. this game played very well on my fast pentium 2 w/o fancy graphic cards and is an open/non-linear game w/ very tolerable graphics. it is a post nuclear holocaust venue where you wander the wastes in search of a water chip to save the people in your shelter(vault 13). your character has and can aquire a variety of skills. there are a number of mini-adventures you can take along the way. interaction with computer generated characters is surprisingly interesting even though the most productive dialogue stems from a multiple choice menu. i was surprised however that items could be aquired, even from within characters homes without any resistance. this aside, there is enough "realism" to keep the game interesting. a nice balance between shooter, rpg, and light strategy. a fantastic game to cut your teeth on.

very entertaining, great value

If you are interested in computer games that take more than a child's attention span then this game will entertain you hour after hour. There are so many subtleties in the plot, so many small details that you can choose to pay attention to or to overpass. Fallout 2 is defenitely better than Fallout 1 but the latter is still worth the play time. The price of this bundle is unbeatable.

Two incredible games for ten dollars

I had the good fortune of stumbling into Fallout when I had ten dollars burning a hole in my pocket about a year and a half ago. It turned out to be some of the best money I've ever spent on a video game. It has everything - humor, drama, crazy firepower, and one very freaky final boss. I've played through several times already, and every time I manage to find a new way to make a character. The same goes for Fallout 2, only with the sequel, all of the original's features and perks are magnified about ten times. Yep, that's right, more weapons, more drama, more humor... Who doesn't laugh when you try to kick out the spazzy science geek in your party, only to have him beg and plead for you not to leave him? Nobody that I know. Unfortunately, I still haven't managed to play through Fallout 2 yet, but fortunately the dual jewel case version is the debugged version (evidently before there were some major problems with the car.) In any case, I just have to say this: WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? BUY THIS GAME!!! Ten dollars for two classic games = a no-brainer purchase.
