I also had a similar problem as another person who reviewed this software. I received this game for my birthday and was very disappointed that I was unable to install this game. I kept getting a variety of errors. My husband had bought it from Comp USA and when trying to return the defective disc we were made to feel as we were doing something wrong. It took two managers before they would approve this return for something that was not even our fault. HOW UNCOMFORTABLE!! We ended up going to Target and buying the PS2 version of this game and had better luck!!
Great for playing along with your kids

My 6-year old son and I love playing Lego Star Wars together. It's a wildly creative and fun game that encourages cooperation; you'll need to work together to solve fun in-game puzzles. He enjoys it so much the Lego Star Wars universe has become his favorite conversation topic ("daddy: I have a question -- what's your favorite way to defeat the Darth Maul?").
The animation is great, the storyline is fun (of course, based mostly -- but not exclusively -- on the movies), and both the in-play and cut scene humor is delicious.
I would have given the game 5 stars, but it had some stability issues on my PC: switching between it and other applications would crash it, and sometimes it would just lose my controller settings.
But all in all: highly recommended. The sequel is even more fun. Too bad there aren't more movies so they can make more Lego Star Wars games!
My boys love this game

My boys had gotten Lego Star Wars II first and we recently added this game to be able to play with characters between the two games. They are thrilled with both of the Lego Star Wars games. We highly recommend them - the graphics are great. It's just like being in the movies.
Great game, with a few annoyances

My 5 year-old and I love playing this game together. If you like Star Wars you'll get a kick out of this. Lot's of harmless fun with a cute LEGO twist. Gameplay does get a bit repetitive after awhile, customizing the controls is a pain, and you're stuck with the game saving only after you complete an entire level. My son gets frustrated when "time's up" in our world and he can't save the game part way through a level. But we've spent many quality hours together playing this and are almost done. Just make sure you periodically back up the lsw_# directory in the directory you install the game. We had to start over after about a week's worth of playing when the save game file in that directory got corrupted when the computer crashed. I wish they'd make more clean, fun games like this!

This game is awesome! Though it didin't go like the real star wars saga,But let me tell you some of the game. Well you first have to go to Episode 1 the phantom menace and play the chapter called Negotiations .Once you've unlocked that chapter you can keep playing the episode or go to episode II or episode III the last movie of star wars....Oh and if you havent seen it you should'nt play episode III,unless you see the third movie..and since there legos they don't talk much, well they dont say words...but I recommend this game to star wars fans!

My eight year old loves this game. The gameplay is right on target and I am very impressed how the designers were able to make the scenarios so accurate to the real movies -- using a lego environment. Its clever and entertaining. I highly recommend it for kids.

I love the game and so did my kids, who are 5 and 6. they can actually play with some adult assistance. However, DO NOT GET THIS GAME IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A nVIDIA Chip!!! Otherwise it will not play or run. How that happened, I will never know, if you do not have the chip you can download a fix that will quit and kill the game right in the middle. Hopefully the Complete Saga fixes this, because Starwars 2 Lego did not have this problem.

How rotten is the dissappointment of my kids on Christmas. Where is the quality control??? This would never have happened at Modus Media.

This is a great game for kids and adults. Of course, you need the proper hardware to run this game. If you are a gamer, you know that on-board graphic card (Intel) will not support a lot of games. If people complain that the game is not running on their new system, too bad. You should not buy a cheaper system to start with.
About the game: really fun. My son likes to see the Lego Star wars heros. There is no blood, if the figure dies, it will break to Lego pieces. Cool. Using the force to transform Lego pieces to different objects is fun too.
Be ware: If you have not watched Epsoide III and intended to see it in the theater, do not play Epsoide III part of the game. Otherwise, you will know everything happened in III.
Botton Line: great game, great fun. Get the right hardware.
