As the title said, this action-packed thrill-ride is much more fun than The Two Towers! Don't get me wrong, I own and LOVE the Two Towers, but this game is superb! Plus, it isn't as easy as TTT, it's much more challenging! Youd should definitely PICK UP THIS TITLE!!!!

I was blown away and never got tired of it

When i got onto this game it just startled me i couldn't beleive how good it was. I could play this game day and night but my mum won't let me get it because were strugling on money but i always play it with whatever chance i get so get it and you'll love it.

Great game - but pretty different then the movie

This game is nice, but you really should see the movie before playing it.
If you haven't seen the movie, you would never understand a THING in the game.
The levels are picked up from various parts rom the film, and are not arranged in their proper order.
Also, the storyline is rather thin, and it tells you absolutely nothing about the film.

However, the game is great fun! the graphics are OK and are not "state of the art" like mentioned, but it's satisfying :)
The gameplay is good and the controls are pretty darn easy to handle, so all in all, it's a GREAT GAME!

DUDE's and DUDETTES, this game is da coolest

its cool and fun, and you shoot arrows and spears. and u kill orcs with ur axe,sword, staff etc. then you can unlock cool guys its awesome!

This game is in a wrd, awesome. Good graphics, smooth game play, versatility with characters, and constant action.

Based on the upcoming movie on J.R.R Tolkien's literary masterpiece this game truly shows players what it's like to assume the roal of Aragorn, Frodo, or Gandalf. awesome enimies and sweet bosses make this game so fun. although do to the online benifit of the PS2 version I would get that instead. FUn

This was my first purchase in the LOTR saga. I read the first title, The Fellowship of the Ring, was not all that good here on Amazon so I skipped it as I am a huge fan of the movie series. The second title, The Two Towers, was a huge success, again so I read on Amazon ratings, but as I am not rich lacked the funds at that time to purchase it. But finally I saved the money to buy the final intallment Return of the King. I am not dissappointed, but not overly impressed either. Let's speak of the good before the bad.

Story: 9.5 Real hard to screw up here - after all there is a movie storyline to follow here.

Graphics: 8 Very good but not ground breaking. Halo 1 has much better presentation and more depth. I know it is very overdone to compare games to Halo but they set the bar so everyone else can just deal with it.

Concept: 8 Good concept, but I believe it could have been better served to follow a different road like a Diablo, or even Buldar's Gate format. I find these game replay value are alot higher than this title was.

Sound: 9.5 Sounded great with my surrond sound and music was very intense at the right moments - nicely done.

Controls: 9 Decent and easily picked up. My nephew and I were playing multi-player and we both had it figured out in about 30 min.

The multiplayer mode is very good and the angles are really good. Very seldom does your partner keep you from seeing what you need to - unless your partner is lost or not too good.

The length of the levels could have been longer. I did have the game beat in a weekend - I would guess in less than 16 hours. That is single and multiplayer both.

Upgrading concepts are very unique and easy to understand. I think that different weapons along the way would have spiced things up a bit but I don't remember anything like that in the films so I guess this would be par for the course.

All in all a triumph, but a few more steps and it could have been as epic as the films. Sorry EA I have high hopes for the story and think it would have been better served in another format like Diablo or BGDA. But 4 stars are better than 3.

i think the return of the king game is really cool. it's kind of hard sometimes like shelob's lair is hard. but levels like helm's deep are easy and not very fun. i like the level when your in the courtyard of minas tirith and when you have to fight of those cave trolls. i gave this game 5 stars beacause of the exelent graphics abd sound. i think the game is just plain amazing, because in most games you don't usualy have hordes of orcs rushing into the kill. if you ask me, sam isn't that good of a character to be beacause he's kind of slow, and he dosne't attack quick enough. gandalf is hard to be too, beacause of his inability to attack quick enough. so, legolas is the best guy you can be because he can upgrade his attack so he can shoot two arrows at a time. that's pretty cool i think. the paths of the dead is hard to figure out, but the king of the dead is a breeze if you know what your doing. i garuntee this game to any lotr fan. the return of the king is a game worth buying.

ok this game is kinda hard the levels r long and hard u dont get that much health when u really need it but dont let that stop u BUY IT!!!!!!!.
