Great Game

Assassins Creed is a great game. The story is good, and has a nice little twist at the end. It is the most 'organic' game I have played to date. The character interaction with the crowd, his environment, and parkour just works. The game actually lasts about 6 hours, but then they do a bunch of repetition on the various quests (informant, pickpocket, eavesdrop, interrogate) to draw the game out... however, you can skip most of the repetition to get to the end.

I have been awaiting this games release for YEARS now, and all I have to say is cool game, but not worth more than a rental. This game was pretty cool the first time through, except EXTREMELY repeditive. I won't ruin it, but there are basicly 9 long "stages" to the game where you do the exact same thing in 3 different cities 3 different times with possibly the WORST ending to any video game I have ever played, and I'm 21 and have been button-mashin' since about 5 yrs old, that's a lot of games. Oh, and if you like playing your current collection of many online and expansive games more than just one sit-down, don't buy this. I guarantee your of this game will sit somewhere collecting dust for the rest of your life once you've beaten it and seen the horribly retarded ending. I would recommend renting this game though, that is the only reason it makes above a 1 star.

This game was over hyped, but it wasn't awful. The graphics were amazing and the game play was usually fun, but sometimes frustrating. The story line was creative, but was bad. The game had plenty of flaws and could have been much better.

I have read lots of reviews on assassin's creed and find that many of them state the game is repetitive. Even after reading the reviews i still needed to get it for myself and prove that everyone was wrong, but they weren't. Assassin's creed does have amazing graphics. (although, not as good as the darkness.)But it is to repetitive. It kind of reminds me of the hitman games. The only problem is you use the same weapons and the replay value is a 3/10. When you play the game once, trust me, you really don't want to play it again. If you decide to go through and kill people they want stay dead which is also a problem. Which makes it really pointless to kill people. After that there really is no fun in the game. the only reason I'm giving it a four stars is because I like the storyline and the graphics, but the gameplay kind of sucks. If you want a really good game to play get unhcharted or the darkness. This game is worth [...]at the most.

Good game but the ending was stupid and I was turned off by all of the religion in the game. Certainly it was excessive to talk so much about gods, profits and what not. The game also had a lot of technical problems. Some glitches that should have been worked out. I like open world games but there just wasn't really anything to interact with in these big cities. And the game play became really repetitive. So good game but it was kind of average.

Pros: Excellent rendering; huge level design; expands over a vast area of mountains, hills, valleys etc; the city is alive, every citizen is acting in its own way and can help or hinder with our character's mission (ie. beggers); ambiental music is great; have I mentioned the great graphics? :-); frame-rate is stable

Cons: Character tends to grab on wrong edges, walls, polls etc; some shadows have artifacts or are incorrectly rendered;

Despite some reviews that are bashing the tendence of locking up I haven't experienced any lockups after playing it for hours and hours.

Great game. Like a new age Zelda. I don't play many video games, but this one has some great graphics and story line along with an easy to hard progressive playing style that keeps you entertained.

Play this game is very fun. It is like be a detective in the past, looking clues and searching for the target. It is a slow game when you have to find the clues, but it is very intensive when you have to kill your victim.

great game, nice hdtv workbench, althoug it gets old in the last missions, you will be doing the same over and over, althoug its worth everypenny, i just thougth i was going to be more rpg.

This is a great game. Initially it took me a while to get used to the fighting styles but the graphics are phenomenal. It's a RPG type game in the 3rd person view. Especially a lot of fun to play on a Home theater.
Having said all the good things, I think I should also point out that this game is a little simpler than the other games I've played. Moreover, it's also a little shorter. However, I wish I liked the ending a little more than I did. But overall a great game and a must play on the PS3 with some fantastic graphics.
