Had a lot of fun with this game but had no replay value for me.

Well Im not kind of willing to make a long detailed review, just to say what, for me, are the more noticeable facts.

PROS:
. Awesome graphic detail, big and open places, full of people walking
. Very nice and inovative idea of the main drama.
. It is cool to kill people XD specially with the many ways you have to do so (i like the sound the hidden knife makes when you are going to use it.
. Cool idea of making no cinematics, but just keeping it all in the same game (it has graphic detail enaugh to make this work as it does)
. Free roaming, you can almost everywhere, climb anything, jump everywhere.
. Maybe not with the agree of many, it has an spectacular voice acting, i LOVE their arabic accent, or when you walk and here people talking en arabic (templars mostly). Well maybe just because of me being part-arabian, but it is nic eand funny anyways!
. The architecture, OMG it is awesome, so loyal to history, , so awesome.

CONS:

. It is very repetive, all missions the same. It starts way better (you know jumping, climing that building and letting all those logs or branches (were they) over the opposing army. But then everything turns to the same process: Go to thebtarget city > Go to the Bareu (secret place) > Make some investigation > Kill target and run.
. With their idea of making no cinematics, they maybe made the game so boring at some phases, i mena, it kill the storyline, by making you just making investigations (pickpocket, listen to a conversasiont anonymously by sitting, or make interrogations) wich all work with the same method, and at a point in the game, youll just stop listening to what those people say and limit your self to follow the radar/map.
. Fighting may be cool most of the time, but youll end noticing that the faster and better way of winning a fight it counters, if not, youll most likely not win it. Youll end up watching you pressing and holding R1 and waiting for one of the guards (because it is ALWAYS guards) to attack you for you to press X button. Vene if there are many counters, it will become very lifeless. (Maybe it is jut me beacuase i like fighting game and do it all by myself, making it very varied.)

Anyways, i gave it 4 stars but if i wouldnt have thought so much about its cons, they'd have been 5. Overall it is an excellent game. You'll really enjoy it, and if you like this genre of game, it is a must-have for you.

Assassin's Creed is a great game.

Prior to asking for this game for Christmas, I read as many reviews as I could and I found them all interesting. Many of them criticized the game for the theme: it's allegedly anti-Christian undertones. What I found odd about that is that the game is based on historical fact. As such, it does a phenomenal job of presenting its historical fiction version of those events in a graphically superior format with a storyline that is simplex: easy to follow, but detailed enough to be interesting and engaging. I don't think it's appropriate for children, unless the buyer is secure in their understanding the historical facts on which the story is based and is capable of putting the storyline in the appropriate context. Under those circumstances, then I think the game actually has the ability to be an educational tool.

Simply put, its an awesome game from a graphics/viewing standpoint, but it gets old after a few hours. A rental, certainly not a buy. trust me.

Assassins creed is a very pretty game, But relly thats all it is. Yes it looks amazing and it really shows off the PS3's grafix ability. But thats all it does. The game is so repeditive that it quickly turns boring.
Rent this but dont buy it.

All the missions are the same. You go there, find some info that you hardly understand. Kill somebody and escape.
It was fun for the first 2 or 3 times; but not the whole game. The ending is not exciting. I just don't get the point. I guess I don't like the "open-world" kind of game that does not have a strong link to the story line.

The graphic however is impressive. I do like a lot of stuff in the game; but I don't think I will spend 60 for it.
For me, story is important and has to be fun to play.

This is a great game, great Graphics and Soundtrack in that medival times in which Templars went to kill and exterminate the greatest empire on earth. also it has a good modern fictional story linked with this controversial religious times. BUT THE GAME IS SO repetitive, from city to city you do exactly the same things. climb a tower, pickpocket, sit on a bench, kill two 5 templars, rescue citizens,collect impossible to find flags, and kill a "boss". thats about all in the 4 or 5 cities. So its a good game but it has a short time until gets to be boring

This is one of the by far best games on PS3.
Graphics are amazing and game play is definitely next gen.

This game is truly a showpiece in how to make a unique game in a unique setting that offers a compelling single player experience. It is not the typical first-person shooter which are certainly a dime-a-dozen right now on PS3 and XBox360. It truly makes you feel the part of an assassin and it gives you the opportunity to explore vertically like no-game before it has.

I rent almost all my games now (from Gamefly) but I decided to buy this game and I am really glad I did. It really benefits from taking it easy and absorbing the game at a fun pace. Ratchet and Clank is the game to rent (also a great game for PS3) and Assassin's Creed is the game to buy.

There are a few issues but the overall product is so much fun that this one game convinces me that I made the right choice in buying the PS3.
