It doesnt work!

I bought this thing and it refuses to work with my Playstation2 system! Why is that?! I spent money on this thing and I expect it to work as well as I expected it to. Amazon, I will be sending this junk back to you if I find out that there are no other ways to make it work!

pretty cool if you can avoid errors or got to gameshark.com

This is pretty cool. i know what you are thinking about errors. The day after i bought this i entered in a code for final fantasy 10. I got a message after saving that said error and something else i cant remember. It said press x to reset to oringinal format which i wish i knew it was the way it was before codes entered in or reset game. i reset the game loaded it up. What the [heck] every title is gone no codes or titles. So i went to the message board ... Bingo/Jackpot! It was simple reset with the gameshark cd and memory card in when cd was loading press L1,R1,L2,R2,start and select at the same time. you will get a warning that will say press x to set to factory settings or something pressed x and what do you know it worked. i just had to enter the final fantasy 10 stuff in again. have any problems go to the ...messageboard it will tell you solutions and ways to avoid problems in the future. Now go buy a gameshark and finally beat those imposible games.

You all may think that this is perfect, but it's not, Gameshark can mess up your Playstation 2. Much of the time it disables your Playstation 2's ability to read CD roms, it will only be able to read DVD roms, so great games like Tekken will be disabled on your Playstation 2. You have been warned. Actually it's not all bad, there are still some really good cheats that are available out there.

I bought a version 2 gameshark for my playstation 2. While I had heard from others that it doesn't alway work, I got one anyway. And true to those who warned me, my gameshark doesn't work. The disc will not load. Every time I put in the disc, the Playstation doesn't read it, saying "No Data" Please enter a Playstation or Playstation 2 disc. I do not recommend this product. Stick to cheats found on the Internet.

Gameshark provides more functions than Codebreaker. On the other hand, it isn't very stable and always give you problems to make it work on some particular game. This software has too many bugs that is needed to be fixed. I personally recommand Codebreaker.

Okay, I had one problem that meant I had to reset the GS to default settings and enter bout five codes back in, but that's nothing big... I don't have problems dealing with a few issues because well, so many games for consoles are buggy anyway :) So, those of you that have problems, I feel bad for you. However, this thing still sits in the memory slot and the disc rests nearby... GTA Vice City is coming soon, if there's a problem with the GS then, well maybe I'll change my mind... :)

I have heard terrible stories about problems, but I have not found any issues. I am using version 2, that may make a difference, but so far I have had no problems with lock-ups, booting problems or any thing else. I recomend this highly.

OK now, I liked this alot! And it helped me get past this part on Final Fantasy 10. And well it did last for about five months or something like that. Now its a reck! It wont play now! It freezes up! I hate it. Now I think its in my closet. So dont buy this! Uhh...thats all I want to say.

this is really great for really confusing games. i had a lot of fun with it. you should to if you buy it. i had a lot of fun with the games finalfantasy X and a lot of racing games to. you can get stuff you want and stuff you dont want. this is really great

Breaks Memory Card Slot

... i had all 4th weapons on my game and wanted new items so i rented one well i put the memery card thing in and put the codes in but the codes didnt work so I took it out and placed the memory card in well it looked like the chip broke my memory card slot I took it to gamestop and they said it broke my PS2 internally so i couldnt load and save games. And the codes didnt work.DO NOT BUY THIS ITS FOR YOUR PS2s OWN GOOD
