THis game is sooooooo cool!All REsident EVil fans this is a must have.There are new things in RE2 than There are in RE1.Such as new graphics,and the new choose your character thing.

I haven't yet completed this game but I know I'll have lots of fun. There are more zombies in the street than peple who eat at MacDonalds every day and such cool, neat weapons -- like acid grenade launchers. This game is at some points very easy and at some points quite hard. And you have to solve lots of puzzles. Still, it is easier than the first one. If you're looking for a good Resident Evil game, either buy this one or the third one. But since they've made this one the first one isn't really worth buying.

More of the same, only a bit better.

This game has a few interesting features, such as the dual scenario, specially that mysterious bald man haunting you, and the two secret mini games.

But the fatal mistake this game commits, is the most ignored by most people, and unfortunately, RE3 follows the same path. (I can't comment over Code Veronica for I haven't played it) The linear plotline follows the following structure: Guy arrives to some place and discovers myriads of creatures, guy locks himself somewhere, guy discovers there is traitor among the survivors,(Irons) guy discovers a secret lab under (or within) the main structure (in this case, the RPD), guy makes it through and discovers unthinkable truths, guy fights big monster while the clock is ticking, guy needs to run and save his life before the whole place goes *BANG!* It drives me sick.

I'm sorry RE fans, but it's the truth.(or my opinion, whatever that you wish) Flashy graphics and awesome features do not sum up a great game. Play it for the fun-of-the-first-play factor alone and move over to something better, because this game has nothing of scary.

While it's not as up to Silent hill, Resident Evil2 is the best original re game you will ever play. The puzzles aren't insanley hard, better camera angles,animations and audio.You play as Leon S. Kennedy soon to be a government agent six years later in RE4, but now you are a rookie cop involved with the viral outbreak in Raccoon City. You will meet Claire Redfield, the sister of Chris from the original Resident Evil.You can play as either of them. But the best thing is you know how to shake off zombies. And svarier than the uncut RE. And in this Resident Evils Rookie mode, you get a Rocket Launcher,Minigun,
Sub Machine Gun on the freakin' first level of the game. If you are a Re freak like me, this will make a great addition to your collection. I give it a perfect score: 10/10

First off, this game kicks some ...!! I started out the RE series with "Code:Veronica" and was instantly in love. I guess the only things I disliked about this game were that near the beginning, while running around in the RPD, the game can get tedious if you don't know where the door that goes with the spade key, or diamond key etc, etc....goes, and some of the puzzles are kinda....strange. But I guess that's just because like I said, I started with COde Veronica, which was in 3D, and that game was able to use teh PS2's engine, making it look smoother. One other complaint: Where are Chris and Jill? I understand that they couldn't be playable in the game for storyline purposes, but Chris is my facorite character!! (Leon is kind of a moron) Oh well, I guess Claire is just as good as Jill. ANyway, buy this game!! Who cares if its almost 4 years old? it still rocks!!

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST RESIDENT EVIL GAMES SINCE RESIDENT EVIL4
A LOT BETTER THAN RESIDENT EVIL UNCUT VERSION AND A NEW ROOKIE
MODE WHICH YOU CAN USE MACHINE GUNS AND ROCKET LAUNCHERS.
ITS JUST AS CREEPY AS SILENT HILL AND THERES NOT MUCH WRONG WITH IT. I GOT MINE FOR 9 BUCKS AT GAMESTOP. SO PICK IT UP
OR ELSE YOU WILL REGRET IT!

IF YOU HAVE NINTENDO 64 BUY THIS GAME FOR NINTENDO 64 AND REMMEMBER TO BUY EXPANSION PAK AND DONT RECOMMEND THIS GAME FOR PSX BECAUSE THE GRAPHICS ARE VERY VERY VERY WEAK ! I was introduced to the first game by a friend, I thought the game was really weird and stupid,but I wanted to play the game.When I found out a second game was coming out,I saved money for a playstation and a copy of RE2.I enjoyed it at first but it got boring fast with repetitive zombies,awful sound effects and a mediocre story line.The characters don't walk, but rather they slide across the floor and the characters are rather stiff walking.I would rent this game before buying, or get dreamcast with RE:Code Veronica,that is a great game.
