The biggest scare ever made

I am a RPG game fan! But I decided to try something new so I rented RE2 and played it with my friend. THe graphics kicked! The gameplay was awesome and it freaked me out at times. I am 12 years old and this is perfect for anyone trying to scare themselves. Also shooting those dam zombies give you a fun fest! Anyway, can someone tell me how to move the character actually professionally because I suck at controlling the character. Does the duel shock analog stick work well?

Best game in the resident evil series yet!!!!

Let me start by saying that the resident evil game series has got to be some of the best games ever made. Lots of people might find this game interesting in many ways because of the action and suspense, the horror, and storyline.

Pros
* The action with the gameplay combined is awesome
* Variety and arsenal of weaponry and ammo
* the thinking it takes is challenging to your brain
* Save points are close together making gameplay easy to save and quit.
* The awesome creature the licker
* and of course WILLIAM,BIRKIN
* The storyline (of course)
* And the characters
* (and MR.X is hard to the core)
Cons
* the graphics are pretty dissapointing
* The music is old and is horrible
* The moans of the zombies get old very fast!!!
* And doors do not explode & and some just wont ever open throughout the whole game!!

These kinds of game deserves to be recognized and should never be forgotten. There isn't a person on earth that can easily turn away a game like Resident Evil 2 without having tasting it. This is what expect from a game that revolves around zombies and corporate conspiracies. From beginning to end you are hooked maybe not scared but hooked until you have completed the game. Learn your roots!!

I remeber buying this game when it came out in March of '98 and being a huge fan of the first game I was totally psyched to slap it into my Platstation. The intro was superb and the game looked alot better than its predecessor. I played the game for about 5 hours on Friday night and was thinking that this game was definitely cool, but something was missing. It seemed like during all the puzzles I was able to find what I needed immediately and the challenge just was not there. I mean, I bought the first Resident Evil game and it took me about a month to finish it and I was left wanting more. Before I completed the game I couldn't wait to come home and start playing, I would acutually sit at work and think about the game and what would happen next. I just didn't feel that way about this game and when I finished Leon's scenario at 3 o'clock on Sunday (yes, 2 days later), I remember saying to myself "I KNOW this game isn't over yet". It wasn't over because I still had Claire's scenario to play, but after about an hour into it I just didn't care what happened with her perspective on the story. I probably sound like I didn't like this game, but in reality i really enjoyed it. I guess, in my opinion, it didn't live up to the Hype or the Hipness of the first title. I actually thought it was a good game, I mean every deatail looked great and the story was pretty intense. I'll actually admit that I didn't like fighting that damn Licker creature and when I started playing Claire's scenario and the Nemesis dropped from the Helicopter I was scared silly. I gave this game 4 stars because it is a good title to own and the graphics are still pretty good by today's standards. I actually haven't played the other titles in the series, although I plan on it, but that's only because I feel like they are just gonna to be prettier versions of the original (which is still one of my top 5 games of all time) and because I'm not sure they would hold my attention long enough. At any rate, I hope you'll get loads of fun outta this game because I do think it's a good game to own, and who knowsmaybe I'll slap RE2 into my PS2 this weekend and give it another go. Peace.

As you read from the title, this game is a CLASSIC. From beginning to end, Resident Evil 2 brings nothing but pure action and a great storyline. Forget them 1 star reviews. I would give it 10 stars if I could. RE 2 is full of surprises that will turn your stomach sideways. IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT, BUY IT NOW !!!!!!!! CLASSIC CLASSIC CLASSIC CLASSIC

THIS GAME IS SO INCREDIBLY FRIGHTENING. I'M NOT EVEN FINISHED WITH THE GAME (IN ROOKIE MODE) AND THE GAME IS ALREADY CONSUMING MY LIFE. ZOMBIES COME LIMPING TOWARD YOU, UGLY, KILLING THINGS COME AT YOU FROM EVERY ANGLE POSSIBLE. THIS GAME TAKES YOUR MIND ON A TWISTED JOURNEY THROUGH THE DEPTHS OF HELL. RESIDENT EVIL 2 SEDUCES YOUR SOUL, INFECTS YOUR BRAIN IN BELIEVING THE SURREAL. IF YOU LIKE A GAME THAT ISOLATES YOU FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD, THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU. I love this game when it first came out. Res2 was a smash hit for me and i love every time i played it.

This game is fun for 10 minuets. Infact, that's how much fun it is. 10 minuets. Then it becomes one of the most tedious puzzelers and action game I have ever play. You start to notice things, why can't you aim down, why do you just solve these 'tough' puzzels by finding object, then finding door/thing to use this object with. It's basicly MYST exept in a third person mode and with zombies to shoot. Sound? You want good sound, then you must not buy this game. There is absolutely no soundtrack, well nothing that you could make an album of. Just songs that are 10 seconds long. Then the sound, well, the guns sound great, but then again, the zombies sound like Homer Simpson. It's not that they are moaning, thats could, but that they don't even sound like they been dead, just like whoever did the vioces must've been bored. The multiple layers of letterboxing in the cutscene and how the quality differs from cutscene to cutscene distubs me. Then the blood and the gore? A zombies don't have blood. They are dead, now mabey they do, but they are decaying people. Then the police station. Since when do police stations have libraies. Huh, what, are the police going to read War and Peace while fighting criminals? Then, you start to wonder, why is this police station the UBERSTATION! It has everything from a water tank to even an area that seems like an victorian era attic. Realizm doesn't and has not matter to me. But the far out stuff does bother me. So if you want to play a game in which the puzzles are find key\object and use it in door\another object, have something that's to far out, and only has a good background story, then fine, play this. But if you want a good game, with a better storyline, try the original.

I would give it ****1/2 but that's not an option.

I have to say that this is the best RE game out of all four so far. It's better looking and more story oriented than RE 1, more challenging than RE 3, and more fun than all of them.

I especially like how William Birkin is constantly changing forms. The whole crew of G-Virus monsters just rules.

Also, this game is challenging (Though not as much as the first one), fun, scary, and packed with extras, making it great for all gamers.

This game should be bought, or at least rented and renewed about 10 times.

I would have to say that this is THE best game out there on the market. The plot is as thick as mud and it deepens to the deep darker roots of a 500 foot tree. There are zombies coming at you from everywhere...it is challanging, but not as challanging as the first one. In the first one, they can kind of tip toe almost to where you can't here them, and when you turn around, boom! They got your neck! It is a great game I would reccoment to any gamer, even if they don't like RPG's as much...good game. Take my adivce.
