This game is nuts! I really think that this game is actually cool. This game has cool mini-games I recommend that if you have heart problems don't play this game. This game is no boring sonic's adventure because it's not boring this game will get you pumped on a bad day. The day I hate this game somebody call me and tell me that I'm stupid. I garuntee that this will rock your television to bits.

Its ok.

You get 4 new drivers and you race in NewYork not San Francisco. You get to have some fun with the new crazy pyramid not cube from the first. And i like the pick up 234 feature that lets you earn more money. But i hate how its just like CT1 I mean it is almost to simalear. But it was so much fun the first days and it still is today but it just gets older and older every day. I only reccomend it for people who have never played CT1. I love number 1 it was fun and i thought this one would be so much better but its not worth the fast buck that Hot D brings up when you pick him as one of the drivers.

cool game

The plot is really cool and the mini games are fun too. You can also earn other vehicles by beating the mini games. And the graphics, oh, the graphics. The controls are pretty easy too. The only problem is that it got kinda old, especially the music... but all in all, it's a good game and I recommend you get it.

Almost the same game

The first Crazy Taxi was a great game. The graphics were smooth, the scenery was beautiful, the gameplay was fast and exciting and the controls were great. This game is nearly the same as the first. The drivers are different, there are more special features, you can pick up groups of passengers and your car can jump. These additions do little to make the gameplay better. What I had hoped would have been most improved was the levels. Unfortunately, there are still only 2 and they aren't nearly as attractive as those in the first game. Also, they are mostly flat and all you can see are unbroken rows of tall buildings. If you already have the first one and you want more, get Crazy Taxi 2. If you're trying to decide between them, get the first one.

A great strategy, driving, and fun game

This game is one of the best game I ever played and I never got bored of it after 4 months when I bought it. Even with 2 levels, it doesn't get boring and the levels are huge so you feel your in a city with lots going on. This game, you get to break traffic laws without the cops. You can drive on pedestrian areas, cut through traffic, and drive underwater. If you like strategy games, this is a great one because you must memorize how to get to each location like a real taxi driver plus using shortcuts to get to places fast to satisfy your customer. You also get tips if you drive in style with swift moves and dropping your customers in style. But all I have to say is that this is the best driving game for people who like to explore places, drive crazy, and think. So buy this game and it doesn't get boring like most games.

This is the best taxi gme ever. Yes it is better than Simson's Road Rage. The graphics are unbelieveable. Even though Dreamcast has died this game rulz. New York, New York is awesome. There are many things in this game that are in NY and they actually look exactly like thereal thing. There are some things like the Brooklyn and manhatten bridges, City Hall, and even Yankee Stadium. So if you looking for some Crazy Drivin' buy this game.

2nd edition keeps you rolling along

Crazy taxi 2 is taking place in New york, New York and this edition is the same as the first, you pick passengers up and drive them to their destinations at a good time limit. You can drive them to FAO Swartz, Burger King or KFC. If you drive them there fast you will get a reward, but if you don't get them there on time they will jump out of your car. The amount of money you earn will determine what class ranking you are in A,B,C,D, or E and what rank out of 99 you are. All in all is a great game, but it is the same as the first. San Francisco settings were probably better because it had more hills and the cable cars. Still you should get this game.

The graphics are spectacular. That's it. Nothing else is going for this game. You'll enjoy it for maybe 20 minutes, then you'll regret having bought it. The game has no story, little extras, and is incredibly repetitive. Oh, and the same Offspring song is played over and over nonstop. Yeah, that's not annoying.

The reason that "Crazy Taxi 2" doesn't get a prefect 5-star rating is that it's only one player, which destroys the possibility of what potentially would be the most enjoyable way to play the game, sitting beside a friend frantically competing to pick up the most customers and money, last the longest without running out of time, etc.
That said, Crazy Taxi 2 functions surprisingly well as a party game. Something about the bright visuals, loud sound effects, and raucus music, along with the fast pace of the action -- there is always a new task to complete -- make it almost as much fun to watch someone play the game as it is to play oneself. I've often found myself cheering along with a friend's efforts. (Or jeering, depending on my mood)
As for playing solo, make sure you clear your schedule. While an individual game might only take five minutes, one can easily sink hours into trying to earn more money, a better license, etc... the very fact that "one more game" takes such a short amount of time contributes to the addiction.
In short, if you can pick this game up at a gamestop or on Ebay, I highly reccomend it as one of the better Dreamcast titles.
