Mario to the rescue!!!

just when i thought nintendo lost its fire came mario cart ds. i first played on friend ds. loved it immediatly. so much i bought my own ds. this game is no ordinary racing game. there are new items
bullet bill- your car turns into a bullet and is invinsible. it speeds you ahead and destroys anything in its path
sqiud- sprays ink in all ememy racers screens
boo- turns you into an invisible ghost and steal an itemn from someone.
gold mushroom- yes toads special item from double dash is available for use by every one.
it also has new characters: ROB and dry bones.
by far the best feature of the game is WIFI. i have one word of caution about wifi. beware the japanese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the will kick ure ahhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Mario Kart DS has to be the best game for the DS. It has graphics that are even better to the N64 (Or even on a level; the Gamecube) Its on-line play feature is awesome, but still has a few flaws.

PROS:
Great Graphics
Easy Controls
On-Line capibalities
Fun to play over and over again

CONS:
On-line feature only allows 4 people to race at once
"Retro" Tracks (appart from the Gamecube and some N64)Are EXTREAMLY BORING (EX- Peach Circut: Everything is pretty much 2-D appart from the racers)

All in all, this game is one of the best out there

This is the best game I have EVER played. It never leaves my DS. The graphics are great, awesome sound, great GP mode, very good. The Wi-Fi function makes this game worth its weight in gold * 1000000000. The ability to unlock features and racers and even karts make this AWESOME!!!!! VS Mode is worth playing forever, along with battle mode. Owners of Mario kart 64 will recognize Block Fort. There are also 16 classic tracks to play on. SO QUIT READING THIS AND BUY THE STINKIN' GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that Mario Kart DS is a very cool game. If you have a Nintendo
DS, you must buy this game. This game has new tracks and even
some from other game systems. THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!

It is the greatest game for DS of all the ones I have played (22). You get to explode cars and you get to blow up people in the combat match and vs match. And it is one of the best racing games. Not only do you get to race, but you can blow up people:D. But you get blown up also:( I advise you to get it, it's much bettter than that *@%#! King Kong.

Every once in a while, Nintendo makes a kart racer
for their systems. While I may not have played
Double Dash, I know what I'm saying when I say Mario
Kart DS is the best Kart Racer Ever!(hence the title)
Just play it for two minutes and you'll see what I mean.
Great graphics (for handhelds anyway), A good amount of
tracks and drivers(each character has a basic kart, and one
(or two, I don't know considering I haven't gotten far)
special karts personalized for each driver), power-ups, unlockable
tracks, circuits, (possibly)karts, and drivers. New to this game is
WI-FI(and options to make a personal username & emblem),
and Missions. In missions, you have to complete certain assignments,
and then race a boss. Great unlockables await you when you win!

Pros:
-Actual unlockables
-Missions
-Wi-Fi(And the famous emblem maker!)
-Multiplayer only requires one game card
-Old and New Courses
-Great graphics
-Tons of Karts, Drivers, Courses, and Power-ups

Cons:
-Wish they had more tracks(still enough to keep
owners satisfied)
Wow... It's hard to find any cons!

Final Comment:
Mario Kart has come back, and is hopefully staying for
keeps. A must by for anyone who has a DS.

Man this game rocks!!! Though it probably couldn't get much better, I do have some suggestions to make the gameplay a little better.

Other than the racing, there should be a little bit more on the mission mode. There should be a walking mode and some other places like shops, trading posts, schools, car repair shops, well you get the idea. You should be able to get money if you win the races or enter in compitetions and use the money to customize your kart or get accessories; so it's kinda like having a bit of a lifestyle theme in addition to the heart of the racing. So it's like having the same MK game but with a twist. Kinda like having 2 games in one depending what mode you choose.

You should still have the same courses along with unlockable items, karts, and characters. Also, they should have more racing competitions for large amounts of money for a new upgrade of some sort.

If they added this stuff, the game couldn't get much better. You should also be able to buy new weapons for the battle mode. The mission modes should be like everyday things or maybe some unique mission after you complete maybe the first 5.

And in the multiplayer mode, you should have a longer wifi range and more hotspots. And it will still be the same old fun filled racing.

There should still be an only racing mode for the hardcore racers, and earn money depending on the number of points you earn. Either way, you should be getting money whether its buying food, going on missions, or just racing in competitions.

But because of this extra game, they should have an extra mode:
Racing(for the diehard mario kart fans who just want to race)
Mission(and racing)
Battle(and racing)
Multiplayer(strictly wifi and racing)

These are just my suggestions but i dont want to get to far with the customizing and life thing.

There should still be hardcore racing and no load times, unlockable courses/missions (depending on what mode you play), unlockable characters and MORE!!!

hope this review was helpful. but as I refered to, this would make racing a whole lot more interesting and nothing to get bored of easily.

My children (6 and 7 years old) can't get enough of this Nintendo game. They can play individually or as a group. All the other games have taken a second place.
