I really think the pokemon craze has been sealed since 2002. It's gone. But the games are still good. Although the craze for pokemon merchandise and plush animals and TCG cards have faded into a seemingly endless pit of no return, I promise you that the games will still attack to your stomach. Pokemon Firered is definetely not the best game nor is it the worst. It might be in pokemon history, but it's not really an enhancement to any gamer's history. The big "revolution" is wireless capabilities. Only a few things have been added such as a bell ringing everytime you ride your bike. It's a no biggie, but for "late" Pokemon fans, this is definetely worth the wait.

If you don't like this game you are a loser

Although this game is a remake, it has the most remarkable new features. For example, now you can go to new areas, such as the Sevvi Islands and the battle tower. In the Sevvi Islands there are Jhoto pokémon, too, such as larvitar, mantine, and unknown. The battle tower is INCREDIBLE. This is by far the greatest place to go and fight a actual challenging battle(except for the Pokémon League). The catch for all this amazingness? The Pokémon League is screaming abuse of power. I mean, it is far tougher than the Red and Blue versions, and if you're not careful in raising your Pokémon, you might never even get past the first round(who in my opinion is the strongest of the other three and the champion)! So if you're are up to a challenge, then get this game. On the other hand if you are one of those 'I suck at everything I do' kind of people, stay as far away as you can from this game.
