I'm 15. I hate it when people say that this game is a total remake. It's not. Sure, the main storyline is the same, but there are so many new things crammed in this game it's incredible. First off you'll notice that your pokemon can hold items. I know that this could happen in Ruby/Sapphire, but, it wasn't in the originals (which i played). There are also move tutors, which will teach one or your pokemon a new move. There are many more new features, including lots of new features that take advantage of the wireless adapter. However, of all the new features, the nine new islands are my faveorite part. You have access to the first three islands as soon as you walk out of the cinnabar gym with a badge. After you beat the elite four and obtain the national dex (allowing you to catch the other 236 pokemon), then you can travel to islands 1 through 7. The other two, Navel Rock and Birth Island, can't be accesed until you get a special ticked from a nintendo event that hasn't happened yet. Then there are the possibilites of trading between Ruby/Sapphire, and Colleseum. I have a killer team now thanks to Swalot. And yes, there is a breeding center in this game.

Me and my sister bought these two games and BOY, was I amazed. The graphics are GORGIOUS, gameplay is VERY replayable, especially with the 3 new mini-games:
Berry Crush
Pokemon Jump
Dodrio Berry Picking
The first one, berry crucsh, is fun, plus, you get an item to buy special items with! The rest are also fun and replayable. It is NOT a remake of Pokemon R/B/Y. The storyline is a bit the same, But with the Sevii Islands, it changes alot! The wireless comunication is awesome, and the new union rooms are great. There are new Elite Four leaders, and each time you try to beat them, each of there teams may change a bit. Wich makes it all the more fun. There are also some S/G Pokemon in it. I would almost deffinetlly suggest this game for players.

Pokemon Fire Red is outstanding! Especially because you can trade your old pokemon from Ruby/Sapphire into this game so you dont just leave them. I also love the mini-game addition and the new islands fun to explore. Theres many improvements in this game comparing to the older games. But theres also some dissapointments:
1. They got rid of the contests they had in Ruby/Saphire
2. You dont get to the double-pokemon day care center until your near the end of the game. But there is a day care center in the beginning that allows you to have on pokemon stay.
3. You cant trade from Ruby/Saphire, or Colloseum until the end.
4. The wireless adapter only works up to ten feet which is very saddening but I guess its better than having to use wires.

But, I guess putting things near the end makes you want to play harder and longer to achieve them.
The graphics are outstanding for a gameboy sp game and the gameplay is extremley fun. And the best part is they never end. Pokemon games are must buy classics for all ages.

I can't believe i'm going to write this...

OK, I'm 18 years old and i'm obsessed with pokemon, have been ever since I was 11. but after a long wait I finally got my hands on firered and i'm afraid to say I was disappointed, not because it was poor quality, because it was excellent, but because it lacked a challenge, everything was the same as the original but it had just been revamped, don't get me wrong I love it and everything but I want something new. if you haven't played the original then definitely buy this game but otherwise don't expect something new

The best game this year!

This is going to be the most popular game no one will ever forget! This game will be spoken by people all over the world. Finally, the regions of Hoenn, Kanto, and Orre will join together making this the most fun game of all! I recommend this game to anyone who has been a big fan of the Pokemon Red, Blue, and yellow series, Ruby and Sapphire, and Pokemon Colosseum!

Pokemon has really outdone itself this time!! In Pokemon : Fire Red you journey back to Kanto, the original world taht started it all. Personally, I like this world the best because I like the choice of Pokemon (ranging from Abra to Zubat!). Last year, when the game came out, I was in sixth grade, and my three best friends and I all got it. At lunch and recess, we'd go in the bathroom stalls (me in the girl's one, them in the boy's) and we'd put our adaspters to the wall. It's amazing how well those adapters work! I'd reccomend this game to anyone who likes fantasy.

This game WILL be the best!

i've heard of the game, the first time i heard about the game i thought "hmm.. its probably gonna be cool, but i wish you could go back to kanto without getting the old games." and then while i was on a online forum, i heard more about the game, but i heard that there was gonna be a connector so you could hook up to your PC and trade with people, but then i heard about the "Wireless Adaptor" and i thought "sweet!" ever since, i've been saving up my dollars for september 9th, the time it will come out, and i hope there won't be Certain pokemon in a certain game, cause i have both ruby and sapphire, and i have crystal.. and i really stinks because of that, cause my friends with the GBAS or SPS moved away, but with the wireless adaptor is cool, its kinda like N-gage, but it costs 230 to 200 dollars more then a GBA or SP... i can't wait for it to come out.
