The only good Tom Clancy game is SPlnter Cell, a game like this is simply too real to be fun, you control all members of your squad, but one at a time, and you're dead a few minutes in because you get shot, then you have to spend three men to find out where the shooter is and another one to actually kill him, and the graphics suck, keep off of this game.
Junk

Unless you have a high end video card (128MB isn't enough), you'll shell out for nothing. Buy Delta Force Trilogy, you'll have a better chance despite it's quirky graphics.

This game is good, it has many things you can do and weapons are very kool. But one thing that can be a problem is the bugs! I got to level 7 and i was going to save it and i did, then on the loading screen it froze! i had to restart it and got to level 8 and froze again. IF you can deal with it freezing on you then get it. if your only in it for the multiplayer, Then Dont get it, Get JAMES BOND 007: NIGHTFIRE, which is better at multiplayer then this.
lame

Being a huge fan of the Tom Clancy video game series, I bought this without playing it first. BAD IDEA. The idea is very cool, being able to control every member of your squad, but it just comes across stupid. Even on easy, the game is still hard. Not because of the missions, but because you get shot 2 or 3 times and your dead, but you have to shot enemies at least 5 or 6 times before they die. And another thing, SNIPER RIFLES ARE FOR ONE-SHOT TAKE DOWNS. Even with a direct hit with a sniper rifle on an enemy, they wont go down until at least 3 or 4 shots. And another incredibly annoying and stupid aspect of this game, the missions are incredibly short and require no thought at all. Every mission: Follow this arrow and shoot things. Thats basicly every mission. The missions themselves are incredibly easy, but the fact that if you get shot once then your screen goes blurry and you can't see, while enemies shoot you about 2 more times and your dead. Then you come back alive as another team member RIGHT IN THE LINE OF FIRE and have no time to time to even reload. And another thing, the "storylines" are terrible! Not to mention the in-game graphics are terrible for a PS2 game. And possibly the most annoying aspect of Ghost Recon, you can't see your gun! You see cross-hairs, that's it. First person shooters are supposed to be able to see a gun!
Much better on P.C.

Ghost Recon was not made for the PS2. Although the graphics are better then the computer version, but the controls are very frustrating and the game is easier because your cross hair turns red when you target an enemy. Ghost Recon for PS2 is not bad, but it is not great either. If you have a choice, get this game for the computer.
Not in my top 100 games, but pretty good

A fun game, with good graphics and sound. "Radar" showing positions
of friendly, neutral, and enemy units is silly and makes game too
easy at times. Enemy units are often excellent shots with a lot
of ammo, but they don't seem too bright. Anti-tank weapons are
remarkably effective. Overall, is quite playable, ... Like all of the Clancy games, it feels a
lot like a recruiting tool for the military and/or CIA.
Vocie Commands?

This game would be great...except that I have played SOCOM. The game has great features and is very realistic. However, I don't feel I am a part of the game. For example, there are no voice commands for this game. So, after playing an hour it got old very quickly. Well, there are no commands. Period. The only three are "hold," "assault," and "advance at all costs."
Plus, it is difficult to keep track of your team. There is also no "regroup" feature if your team gets separated. This makes it extremely difficult to keep track of your team members if your are trying to perform dual missions.
Very good game but could have been a better.
Not bad, not great

I'm used to pure first person, so a squad based game was something new to me. Gameplay was pretty straightforward. I found it very realistic is some regards (movement, visibility) which might seem "slow" to many gamers.
I found the AI a little annoying as my B team kept responding to enemies that either weren't there, or weren't shooting.
The choice of weapons and opportunity to hand-pick a team is an interesting departure from other games.
Not a waste of time, but not a must-have either.
Please DO NOT pay full price for this game!!!!!

I don't know.....Maybe it's just me? But, I sure don't see how any PS2 gamer can give this game even a "4-STAR RATING".....I thought it could have been a whole lot better!
It's not the worst game I ever played, but, definately ain't the best military-game either.....The potential was there for the makings of a great game! What the hell happened????
The graphics are ok (at best), sort of cheesy, nothing groundbreaking, the overall gameplay/controller use is hard as hell to control & get used to (there's way too many buttons to press for doing the simplest of actions), and this takes up way too much time, and it's simply hard to remember all the crap!
(HINT TO DESIGNERS OF THIS GAME: HEADSET & VOICE COMMAND OPTIONS)
Anyway all the button-pushing for simple actions totally removed any/all of the "fun factor" I might have had!
Yes, some of the levels, weapons & a few missions are cool, but paying $50.00 bucks for this game, (for me) was a complete waste! $10 bucks MAYBE, but NOT full price!!!!
This game could have been great! The potential was there for the makings of a killer game....I simply felt this game has left alot to be desired, and the game designers should have spent much more time on this game. A LOT more time!
The designers of this game basically tried to create a game like SOCOM, but, they failed miserably!!!
Personally, I feel that SOCOM Navy Seals is (by far!) the best "military/covert op's game" ever created for the PS2 console that I have ever seen, owned or played! No similar game, to date, has even come close to SOCOM, in my opnion. (With the exception of maybe Splinter Cell). Which is really a damn good game.
Yes, you'll notice that in many of my reviews, (with games like this) I hold SOCOM very high on a pedestal...And for good reason. Once you play SOCOM, you'll understand why I feel this way. SOCOM offers realism, a headset, a plethora of voice command options, ease of controler use, and GREAT REALISM....All features that all these "other" similar games are lacking!
