After playing this game for nearly a year now, it is clear to me that this is the best game that has come out for the PC in the past five years. Bethesda has once again set a new benchmark for First-Person RPGs. All of that being said, here is a wish list and perhaps a critcism or two. If Morrowind was multiplayer it might actually be the game of the decade.
The only real detractors of this game is that it does demand a pretty powerful computer (ram, and video card in particular) to run it smoothly. I am using a 64 MB video card, and 512 MB of Ram. A second problem is that there are some leveling issues with the game, straight out of the box. The game evenually becomes too easy. I found myself changing the stats on certain items to tone them down a bit, making the game a bit more challenging. For those that are able to, the Construction Kit, allows for even more modifications and difficulty adjustments.
Overall, I still gave this game a 5-rating because it is absolutely incredible graphically. It has one of the best sound tracks I've heard in an RPG. Finally, the Construction Kit is very easy to use and equally useful as well.

I have enjoyed Bloodmoon so far. I admit there are times when it crashes and it is slower than the other two games, particularly when it is snowing. Nonetheless, it is a beautiful game that is enjoyable and fun to play. Again, a very creative game. I think it is better than Tribunal.
This game is not buggy at all!

I don't know why other people are saying it is very buggy. I played the whole way through the game with no crash at all. This is a fun game and it is a good challenge for high level players. The only setback was that it was too short. The new game has great new effects, cutscenes, abilities, quests, and overall gameplay. If you are a Morrowind fan, you will love this expansion.
Best expansion for Morrowind yet

Great expansion. Set on a snowy island with bears, wolves, and boars this expansion has a more interesting storyline than Tribunal. Really fun quests. If you like Vikings definitely buy this expansion as it is very reminiscent of the Viking period with Nord villages and a mead hall. I've read that other people have had frequent crashes and glitches, but I have not had a single one. I'm running Windows 2000 also.
It keeps getting better

Morrowind gives you a sense of relief from reality, you will be totally sucked into this world. I do agree , at the beginning it is a bit awkward to fight with the enemies due to the new combat systems and controls where you have to learn them and get use to it, after that everything will be straight forward.
Once you bought this game, like Neverwinter Nights you can download tons of mods from the websites, where you can add infinte features, lands, cities, islands,NPCs, Guilds.........lists goes on. Expand this game in the way you want it to.There are also people making some great projects based on this game! Plus it has professional standard music, graphics (excellent), special effects, it really worth its price. Morrowind also comes with Tribunal and Bloodmoon, worth to check them out, too.

This game is wonderful. I bought it several months ago and still play it. There are just so many different "lifestyles" that beating the main quest once means your only about 1% done with the game. The map is HUUUUUUUGGEEEE and you'll often stop your travels to admire the landscapes. There are a huge variety of races in Morrowind each with different advantages. When you create your character, you can choose the race, the class (sort of like your "specilaty" you can also make your own class) and your birthsign. These all effect which path you will take in Morrowind. The Main quest assigns you as a member of the Blades, an elite orginazation of adventurers that do the Emperor's dirty work. Throughout your journey you'll find hundreds of pieces of armor, thousands of weapons, and millions of spells (you can also hire a spellmaker to make a spell for you). Two things that really add to the game are enchanting and alchemy. There are several varieties of "ingredients" in morrowind that you can combine to make potions. These ingredients can be anything from rat meat to mold to bonedust to Daedric hearts to diamonds. If your skilled in alchemy, you can make very effective potions that sell for quite a pretty penny. Enchanting is great also. You can enchant a weapon wiht a spell (for example) so the spell is automatically cast when the weapon strikes an enemy. you can enchant an article of clothing with constant effect chameleon for an invisibility advantage. Simply put, there are so many things to do in this game, I cannot describe them in one review. Every character in the game is interactive, you can talk to them, or kill them. Its up to you. There is a law system too. You will be punished for stealing (you can steal annnnnnything except furniture.) or killing or attacking or any other threat to the public just like in real life. You dont even have to follow the main story line. I dont. You can join a guild and do their jobs (there are several guilds including fighters guild, theives guild, mages guild, house hllau, house televanni, house rederan, the Morag Tong, etc) You can do freelance work and just tour the island for people who need help. You can make decisions too. For example, you find a women who says she will give you the boots of blinding speed, a pair of boots that increase your speed by 200 points if you escort her to a far away town. Do you live the life of honor and escort her or do you live the life of greed and kill her and loot her body of the boots? Its up to you. The game never ends. There are regular creatures like rats and bugs, there are evil spirits called Daedra. There are ghosts there are cult worshipers there are greedy theives. There is everything. This game is fantastic with astronomical replay value.
If you can run it

I originally gave this game 1 star because when I loaded it, it didn't work (as you may have read from some other people). I'm running a P3-1GHz, 256MB Ram, Windows ME, with a 64Meg GeForce2 Video card and the game crashed everytime after character developement. It would do this even after updating all my drivers as Bethesda recommended as a fix action, nothing worked and I just gave up. Last weekend I upgraded to Windows XP and decided to see if Morrowind would run again. WOW! it did! This is one of the better games I've played. It's fairly easy to control and very open ended. It deserves 5 stars but I had to deduct one for not working on ME when it should have. I recommend this game only if you're running XP.

I loved this game since the first time I saw it on TV. This was one of the first RPG's I really GOT into, though I had to buy a new PC to Play, it was very worth it. This game does have bugs, no game this SIZE wouldn't, but I find them completely negligible to the game-play. Also to avoid getting lost in this HUGE world I invested in a good, Strategy Guide. This is one of the best PC's games I have ever played and I will be playing it for a long time to come.

"The Tribunal" refers to a Morrowind-specific concept, and Tribunal the expansion pack is a marvellous add-on to an existing world.
The city of light and magic is located at an unknown spot in the world and while you are there the world map is of no use. Instead of a "world" you are transported to a mega-city, which sports distinct styles of architecture and fashion, with a separate temple, government, underground sewers, and marketplace.
I actually got the expansion pack bundled with the Morrowind game, and I would recommend playing Tribunal together with the main Morrowind quest to enhace your freedom. Unfortunately since Tribunal has a rather one-dimensional plot, if you wait to tackle Tribunal until you've exhausted Morrowind you may be disappointed when you want a distraction from doing the nth chore for the same group of people.
Playing this way is also more fun since assassins from Tribunal escape to Morrowind to hunt you down, giving new characters some welcome and expensive goodies that can fetch a nice price when sold.
The artwork of Tribunal is breathtaking, and especially the gruff Ordinators wear a fashion that is the pinnacle of elegant taste. Tribunal also brings back the Dark Brotherhood, familiar to Daggerfall fans, complete with signature armor that is eerily awe-inspiring.
A beautiful addition to Morrowind, a great place to explore, and a load of fun with new rules to learn in order to win.
Great game

I absolutly loved this game. If you have played Bethdesa's previous products (Arena Daggerfall) and like them then you will love this one. You will need a good graphics board to get the full effect. The graphics are exceptional. The sound is great. I really got the feel for the game. The only complaints that I would have with it is that it can be too large. The monsters will be the same over and over after awhile to a point where it can be tedious. Once you have played this for a longer period of time your character can become almost invincible for the end monster.
I haven't had a chance to play the expansion packs yet.
