I agree that Morrowind is a great game. The gameworld is huge, the way you develop your character makes sense (i.e. the more you use a skill, the better you become at it), and you have a great deal of freedom not only in creating a custom character class, but also in making unique magical items and spells. The story is intriguing too, and you really get the sense that you're participating in events that are going to shake the Empire to its core. It does take a pretty robust system to run and, although I haven't had a lot of the technical problems other people posting here have mentioned, it does tend to lock up every now and again. All in all, however, it's a stable game and the system requirements really aren't outrageous, especially after you see just how detailed the gameworld is. The combat mechanics are fairly standard so I don't have any complaints there. The only problem I have with this game, in fact, is that the journal feature quite frankly sucks. You get a lot (and I mean LOT) of quests in Morrowind but keeping track of them is quite a chore. They don't automatically delete from your journal after you complete them which means you have to wade through tons of information on older quests to get to the one you're still working on and they don't give you any sort of index to them, meaning you've got to flip through your journal page by page to find that one little detail on that quest you're about to attempt. It wastes time and it's really annoying. Having gotten that off of my chest however, I can say this is definitely a great game and well worth buying. I just wish they would have spent a little more time making the journal feature more usable.

The Best Game I`ve Ever Played!!

Daggerfall is MUCH MUCH better!!!

all the other reviews talk of how HUGE the world is in this game but it is extremely small when compared to its predecessor Daggerfall. Dgrfall had about 9 or 10 provinces in it with hundreds of cities in each province. Mrwind is only that one stupid little island with stupid/short dungeons. In Dgrfall i literally had to start over because i would get lost in the dungeons for weeks. i still enjoy playing Dgrfall. The graphics in Morwind are definitely superior, but that is all it has. I killed a few guards and now my character can't walk into any town without getting the ... beat out of him. in dgrfall, all i had to do was go to another province and things would be all right. dgrfall is a much much better game and i would highly recommend that as the best rpg game ever. morrowind has amazing graphics but the world is too small and not enough creatures.

I don't own this game, but I've played a couple of times. Fpr anyone who know what they are, this game is like a visual M.U.D.
(check out a cool one at retromud.org). It's very open ended, letting you explore the world and generally goof around. It has awsome graphics, and very realistic weather.

The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind is the best game I have ever played. You can virtually do anything that you want like walking around killing the populous or following the main quest and being the games legendary hero. There are plenty of other quests you can follow and you can join guilds to become an even more in-depth citizen of the island of Vvardenfell. If you get tired of searching the game for great weapons or other stuff you can just use the editor to make yourself the extra super-powerfull weapons that you need to beat the final enemy: Dagoth Ur. Unlike many other games, Morrowind's editor is extremely user friendly making altering the game for your better intrest a piece of cake. This game is far superior to any other RPG on the market. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Elder Scrolls 3,is a very cool game. The problem is you have to go into your Task Manager and eliminate almost all your unneeded processes, then lower all your audio and video options for the game to run properly.Even then it still loads incredibly slow or crashes. You'll have to save every time it starts to get slow then quit your game and start again. You'll need a strong gaming platform this game to be any fun at all.Though I probly wont get the exspansion,I'm not going to stop playing anytime soon even with all the hassle.

Amazing Fun!

The Elder Scrolls 3 is an amazing game. Your first question would be "Who are you in the game and what do you do with this person?" Your answer would be "Whoever you want and whatever you want." The Elder
scrolls is a great game that anybody can enjoy.

My review will be short, full of acid and to the point. This game was suppose to tbe a crhistmast preasent from my mom and dad only to find out that the screen only goes up to 24 true color. Now I have to buy a new video card so I can play it and say if I like it or not.

READ THE SYSTEM REQUIRMENTS CARFULLY!!! and for those of you who have enough money to burn and have intel 4's and windows XP well good for you but us mere mortals don't have that kind of money to spend.
