This is everquest but with better graphics and some bad copy cat tradeskills. Yea sure the fighting the challenge the grpahics are going to be good but who wants to just walk around and press the attack button all day not me. Battles dotn require and skill or strategy at all. Cant even see the battle all you see is a guy swining stick or sword in to the air and on the bottom it says you attack for whatever damage you make like this but this is not my kind of fun u may think its enjoyable for a month or so. And another mistake they did was you cant have your old character and drag it over to everquest 2. Many people ruined their lives on this game and spent so much time on it. And they expect everyonbe to start over i dont think so. Im going to switch over to horizons the battles require strategy and skill you can actually see the guy get hit or doge the hitor whatever. Also got special moves and tradeskills are great. You can be a dragon fly breath fire whatever. The game also has good graphcs. Everquest any 8 year old can play it my friends little brother plays it. lvl 36 last time i saw him. Horizons you actually can controll the battle from being killed or killing the monster whith techniques like dodge spin flip, or special attack or sweet spells and etc. If you dont want to jsut press atttack all day i suggest you check out the site artifact-entertainment.com then click on products. What can you lose.

The grafics are really good but the game is a little bit slow how the move and how the game goes, I really didn't like the game, you spect more of the game but you get dissapointed when you play it.

5 for potential, 4 for current status of game

This game was introduced to me through a friend. I had never played the first EQ, and so following my interest I downloaded the newly released Trial of the Isle Demo to see what I thought. The next week I purchased the game. Now, EQII by itself is not that great of a game. If you don't have any friends (like the kind you meet in real life) playing the game, it is my experience that the game becomes boring or uninteresting. I was lucky that I had some friends who already played and a guild to join once I started the Game Proper. I played for roughly six months and grew tired of the constant grind (killing things to level). So I cancelled my subscription and moved on. Four months ago I rejoined because, quite frankly, I missed my friends and I wanted to play an mmorpg where I could actually walk around rather than fly a ship. It is true that the higher you level the more group oriented the game becomes. However, with recent updates (and more to come I'm sure) changes have been made that if you wish to solo, you can and you will not receive as huge an xp punishment as before.

The best part of this game is the fact that it is constantly updated with better changes, in my opinion. If you have the money to purchase the Expansion and Adventure packs, do so as they make the game worth playing. If you don't then you'll be stuck with a so-so game. Also, manage your time with this game. I found it consuming massive amounts of my life before I took a break, and when I came back I was wiser and had a better idea of time management. If you purchase the game from the store, I believe you get the first month free, so that's plenty of time to make a judgement call as to whether or not this game is for you. That, and you can always download the free Trial Demo. I'm looking forward to the upcoming expansion, and the expansion of the world of Norrath overall.
