I bought this game for my 10 year old son as a gift. I soon found myself playing this game as well. This game is fun with just enough level of difficulty to keep even adults interested while not being so difficult that you need to find a walk through or cheat codes just to finish the game.

EXCELLENT

My whole family LOVES this game...Even myself, who does not play video games, enjoy watching this one, It has alot of features and secrets and is awesomely cute...Seriously...a 3 inch Darth Vader running around has got to be seen..(esp when the boys dress him in Leia's Slave bikini...) Now if only Lego would do the Pirates of the Carribean movie into a game...

Very impressive...

There are lots of things to love about this game. The developers made faithful Lego renditions of the Star Wars characters which impresses me. The characters are determined to fight the evil empire and they still have a cute sense of humor. There are several levels - I'm going to guess at least 18 plus when you go through the level the first time, you can't complete all the tasks because characters are added to the game as you complete a level and the new characters have special talents. So you have to go back to the level with a character with a specific talent to complete the task. Once you collect all the items, they are used to build ships which you can see in the cantina parking lot. The game is a great value and I recommend it for all age groups. It is probably too easy for teenagers but I'm a grandma and I love it.

kid tested and loved, mother approved

This is an amazingly fun and simple game. I don't have children so I would be lying if I said that's why I purchased it. It's an old school throwback to the times when we didn't care what the polycount was. I'm hoping that we see more of the like from these guys in the future.

5yr old loves it....

Easy to learn for kids, but in-depth enough to hold their attention for a very long time.

I'd almost take away a star in comparison to the original Lego Star Wars game.

The original Lego Star Wars was more fun, more clever, more witty, and still a great game with excellent entertainment value in comparison to this one.

This second one is more like a serious game, to the point that the Lego novelty is almost irrellevant. If there's one big flaw in how this game is laid out, it's that it's not as geared for kids as it is for adults who are serious gamers, whereas the original struck a perfect balance. Like I wrote in my review of the original, an adult and a child could play Lego Star Wars (1) together without feeling like one was merely entertaining the other--whereas this one is practically a one player game for adults.

Still it's a great Star Wars Game that would be hard to improve upon with a non-legos version. And I'd put it up there with Tomb Raider as a quality and challenging experience to play.

The graphics and environments are far more sophisticated, but with that comes a few bugs. For instance, in Free Play mode there are a couple of spots where you can get stuck because you can no longer do what they had designed the level to do, and therefore can't proceed without starting over--very frustrating. I wouldn't mind pointing these out, but I don't want to ruin those levels by telling what happens or how you should be able to get through them. It's possible to not run into these bugs, but if you do just try to avoid them the next time round. However, my wife did run into one bug after an hour of playing one special round--which you have to complete all levels in the episode to do--that there was no getting past, and that was unacceptable.

I should really take a star away for these technical glitches, but I wont.

Using your saved data from the prior version is awesome. I like that you don't have to be a super player just to enjoy the game as a result of this.

There aren't as many fun, silly extras as there are in the original, and that's a bit of a loss.

BOTTOM LINE: I give this game five stars all around on it's own, but in comparison to the original I would take away one or two because much of what made the orginal funny and fun is missing in Lego Star Wars II. This version is more oriented to the serious gamer, who really couldn't care less if the characters were Legos or not, whereas the original was a great game, funny, and just plain cute.

I highly recommend Lego Star Wars II, but not without playing the original first for both fun and technical reasons.

Fun Game... To Easy... and Too Short

I liked playing it. Its a lot of fun... but like the prequel game it's too short with no challenging game elements. I'm sure a lot of kids play this so I'm not judging too harshly. I liked it and I play all the latest games...

it has bugs. and glitches lots of them. it's like it was rushed to production. though it is still fun.
