Cool game with cute horses!

This game is really fun! I played through some of the levels and I think that girls who love horses will love this game!

If you want a cute game for girls, get Mario Kart, not this

The title says it all. Obviously, this game was made for little girls, but there's better games out there that might appeal to girls without insulting their intelligence.

I'm actually exaggerating a bit, this game is not nearly as bad as it could have been. Most of the gameplay is built on riding your horse, which borrows a lot from the Zelda 64 riding engine. Once you get off your horse though to look for runaway horses, watch out. Barbie is slow on her feet and can't run, which can get very annoying. There are also side activities, like unlocking outfits and washing your horse, which is as rudimentary as using the cursor brush to move over a horse.

But overall this game sucks. If you want to buy a game for your sister/daughter/niece, get her a real game with quality gameplay, like Mario Kart: Double Dash or Super Monkey Ball.

we LOVE this game!!

I have been a horse lover all my life and would have LOVED to have had a game like this when I was a kid! My 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son both enjoy it as much as I do... it isn't all that challenging for an adult, but the feeling of "riding" is very good with a little imagination! My daughter spends more of her time dressing barbie and making her horse look the way she wants while my son enjoys the tracking stuff down and feeding the various wild creatures. It was money well spent in our opinion, and every child who has visited our house and played it put it on their Santa list, even the boys!

Our 7 year old daughter loves it!

Purchased this game for our daughter for her 7th birthday (got a good review on GameZone.com). She loves it and so does her cousins. I even enjoyed playing the lasso game with her. Any girl who loves horses or Barbie would enjoy this game.
I know there are Barbie haters out there. Too bad, they are missing a fun game.

A Well-Aimed Game for Young Girls - But Cheezy Graphics

It seems that the same dime-store animators and graphics folk who do the annual video have also created the cheezy graphics for Barbie Horse Adventures. But your daughters are unlikely to care, as this game presents hours of play possibility in the world of Barbie and her friends. My two daughters, age 10 and 7, have been at it for days. One other caveat: The box may say " for one or two players," but the main game is single player only. The secondary "mini games" are two player, but only in the clumsiest split-screen fashion.
This title was $49.95 at full retail. As a parent, one begins to feel ill-used. From the leftover Swan Lake toys on store shelves this year, the feeling may be spreading.

EVERYONE SHOULD BUY THIS GAME!!!!!

This is a poor example of a Barbie game. My 7-year old daughter kept telling me to let her finish. She always wound up never finihing and having me literally drag her off the game. I would much rather her play another game. There is no way to end this game, as far as I know! My daughter beat most of the My Street games with ease. Plus, during the rare times when Barbie is off her horse, she walks at a snails pace. Barbie can never become a marathon runner!
My daughter, after about a month, grew bored of trying to beat the game and started playing her 14-year old brothers Medal Of Honor Frontline and Tony Hawk Underground. She had more fun playing them than Barbie Horse-whatever. Of course, I don't let her play them that much, because they are violent, but I DID buy her Jak and Daxter and Shaun Palmers Pro Snowboarder, and now, the Barbie game is in the back of the DVD and Video Game rack.
I had bought it for her because she was always a tomboy and competitive and was playing her brother's more violent games. But maybe I went to the extremes. She never even liked Barbie, but I thought the video game was different. How very wrong I was! Please don't buy this game for your daughter unless she is absolutely DIE-HARD for Barbie!!!!!!!!!

I am a busy stay at home Mom & not so good with video games but this one is great for me, oh and my daughter who is 4. She LOVES this game. It is so easy for her but not at all boring. So many different things to do. Change horses, even the horse and mane colors. Change color of eyes, length of mane. Change Barbie's outfits. This is one of the best games I have ever seen. Very lifelike also :o)

One Of The Best Games I've Ever Played!

I loved Wild Horse Rescue! The graphics were very good; the horses actually looked like HORSES! It was very enjoyable that you can change your horses looks. I ride real horses myself and picked up right away how life-like the horse's movements were. Very much like a well-schooled ranch horse.
The only reason why I didn't give this five star was that it was sort of un-realistic. In real life, if mares and foals escaped a pasture together, nothing but force could to a foal and it's mother apart. And finding so many foals yet so few mares. And occasionally the colors of the foals and mares were un-realistic, such as the mane being brown when the tail's cream-colored. All the same, it was a great game, and I play it over and over again!

P.S. The final trail, the Silver Valley Gardens, does it just end there? Because I'd wandered around and around that maze for about an hour before realizing maybe this is where the game just stops. But you'd think there would be a way to win it, wouldn't you? Anyone who knows a way to win Wild Horse Rescue, please post your thoughts!

My 6 year old daughter and 9 year old son both love this game, and actually I think it's fun too! I can't imagine why anyone would think it's so terrible. My kids play it more than any of their other games!
