This game was ok, being a fan of Empire Earth, All Command & Conquer games, and Age Of Empires. There are some disatvantiges to the game but all in all it was pretty fun. Some problems were the fact that the campains were as boring as all get out. And you hae to mine not 1 or 2 but 3!... recorces. So if your looking for a really fun game then look else where but if your looking for a fun but some what lacking game then this the one.

excellent game, you can have hours of playing this even if your not a star wars Fan like myself. I played age of empires, greatgame, but this is so much better. Each civilization is so unique and diffrent, that makes the game so good, unlike age of empires in which most units are the same. In my opion great game and well worth the price.

I don't know what game the people who rated this negatively were playing, but I got this game as a gift, and am totally in love with it. One reviewer mentioned that he liked getting to know more about Wookies, a race we know little of...I concur. Getting to know and interact with the many different races is a real treasure. I think the graphics are amazing, and the story lines well crafted. A lot of thought wen't into the making of this simulation, and those artists should be proud of their work.

This is without a doubt the best Star Wars PC game to come out in a while. I'm a bit new to RTS games, but I found this one very easy to learn abd play. This will probably be the only game I play until Jedi Outcast comes out!

If you like the Age of Empire series, plus if you are a Star Wars fan as most are, then you'll love this game, no question.

You don't have to like Star WArs, you only have to like Age of Empires 2. I admit I am a Star Wars fan, but a freind of mine hates Star Wars, it toke some convinveing but finally I was able to get him to play, and now he's hooked! Galactic Battlegrounds was written by the same people who wrote AOE2 and let me tell you it is the BEST, the main thing it has over AOE2 is
1) STAR SHIPS like bombers and fighters
2) Trade is sooooooo much easier and cheaper because the trade vehicals can travel across land AND water.
This is pretty much AOE3.
Only if they brought out a real AOE3.

An addictive game and a great buy for Star Wars fans!

This is a great game! I got it as a Christmas present and haven't been able to stay away! I must admit that I am also an AOE2 fanatic, and I can't say that I would recommend Battlegrounds to those of you who have played that game since they are so similar, but I love to play Battlegrounds if I get tired of the medieval feel of Age of Kings. It has pretty good graphics for the type of game it is, and there are numerous improvements on the Kings engine that are quite helpful (e.g. a nearly unlimited farm queue and flashing Idle Worker button). The air portion of the game seems somewhat awkward - it is slightly imbalanced and seems kind of simplistic yet, as if that part of the game is still in the tweaking stages - but it is not a major issue. There is literally a wealth of gameplay value hidden in the campaign area of the game that I still have not even begun to explore, and the game soundtrack is unbeatable (since it is a mix of music from the trilogy and from the Phantom Menace). Overall, although it has some minor flaws, this game is a great buy and I give it 4 stars.

This is a really great because the Scinero editer is easy to youse and you cancreate your own campaings. This game is aslo challenging because you must work really hard to acheve your goal. The civ. choise is aslo nice because when you start the campang you can start whith your faveorate civ. from the currently made Star Wars.

Having never played AOK, I can't complain like some of the other reviewers. I'm a Star Wars fan and I absolutely love this game.
