I realy liked this game. You can be four characters (dont listen to the guy that said "Read this now!!!!!"). To get Wario, Luigi, and Mario must get a certain amount of stars before you unlock. If you are doing bad or need help go to cheat planet. They give you tips, not cheats.

--WHY DO PEOPLE WRITE THIS CRAP ON REVIEWS???

This was one of my favorite games on the N 64 although it does encourage a lot of violence.
Me and my brothers used to fight for almost an hour at a time for the chance to actually play this game... unfortunately we also only ended up with a short time to play it since our parents gave us a limited playing time. It's ok though b/c the fighting was part of the fun. Plus, we ended up doing really good in sports, it upped our respect for competition.
So, a positive of this game is that it will make your kids tougher.

This game is very fun (surprise surprise... IT'S A MARIO GAME... how many Mario games have you played that weren't fun) and it's VERY colorful.
Just watching a game w/ this many colors is relaxing in itself... it's even a relaxing getaway if you're playing bad b/c of the colors!
Like everyone says, the mini-games are awesome.
If you're used to the 64 version you will have time adjusting to the controls but it is still as fun as ever.
The new characters are a cool option even though I end up using Mario all the time.

This game is the reason I bought the DS system. I was totally sold on the PSP until I happened to walk past this game. I had to have it. Now I can give away or throw out the 64 I've been pack ratting for all these years!!

Ok, I'm very good at going off on a tangent but hey, that's what you get from an ADD guy.

This game is fun and worth the buy if you're a kid or adult.
The balance between fun & challenge will have kids hooked throughout any car trip you'll be taking due to school vacations.
Also, if you're a parent and you buy this game for your kid, they won't be asking for a new game in a while: A HUGE PLUS!!!
I also recommend any Mega Man game, those keep kids occupied for a while also (FYI: stay away from the one on one fighting games unless you have more than one kid playing. I bought my kid a highly reviewed fighting game (think it was wrestling) on a Monday and they were asking for a new game by mid-week... not worth it).

Ok, let me start off by saying that this is really a great game, with one big problem: IT'S EXACTLY LIKE THE N64 VERSION. I mean, sure, it has new stars, characters and stuff, but all the same stars are in the same places. They have new ones, but all the original ones are in the same place. If you have beaten the N64 version, then you'll have this game beaten in one week. I got it on a Wednesday and beat it the next Saturday. BUT, for those you who have never played the N64 version, then I would recomend buying it. The only problem is it's a difficult game and will get very frustrating after a while if you have never played the N64 version. So, if you have NEVER played or gotten very far on the N64 version, I would suggest buying it. If you have already beaten the N64 version, I would strongly caution you against buying it.

The adventure mode is fun. The Vs. mode is fun. The rec room is totally fun. Buy this gamw!

Okay... let's see...
Nintendo has continued its tradition of going beyond its call of duty of making kicka** hardware... and making kicka** software!

The good people at nintendo who have made Super Mario 64 have remade the game and since it's Mario 64... who better to play than... Mario! Psyche, you're stuck with Yoshi until you get Mario, Luigi and Wario, each one special in thier own way... next one to make a special Ed joke gets shot...

My main gripe was... the lack of analog, otherwise this game owned, with multiplayer compatibility and minigames! Yay! Go buy it! Seriously! I don't know why I'm shouting! I'm gonna seek professional help now! Bye!

THIS GAME IS GREAT! BUT I KNOW THEY SAY YOU COULD "PLAY AS MARIO,LUIGI,YOSHI,AND WARIO." THEY ARE WRONG YOU COULD PLAY AS ONLY ONE CHARACTER. WOW THAT JUST TOOK A STAR, BUT THE REST IS THE BEST!

This game is awesome. 1 kewl thing about this game is it takes awile (and i mean a while) to beat, but this game is so fun. This time u can be yoshi, Mario, Wario, and (My Favorite) Luigi. If u have a DS u have 2 get this game it is so0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o g00d.
