Wild Tangent is a terrible software maker

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 4 / 5

Be Ware of Wild Tangent. They sold us the boxed game but did not give us the unlock code for the software. We are still buying tokens to play the game even though we thought we purchase the boxed game. After many e-mails to the company, we are still unable to load the actual game on our PC!! Our son is very disappointed!

The World of Fate in My Eyes

Fate is full of exciting adventures. I especially love being able to have a pet(usually a cat because I have two in real life)because it can help you on quests and grows with you. I used to be hooked on Runescape, then I dicovered Fate and I love A LOT more. It's really cool doing all the quests because you get rewards when you complete them. It really teaches me how to advance small steps to acheive your ultimate goal which is to defeat the monster that is waiting for you(sometimes I forget what to look for so I go to Bremen)in the dungeon. I love all the different clothes you can pick because you increase certain characteristics. I think the robes are really nice because all of them look great, no matter what level you are. I also like to increase my strength so I can wield a better weapon than a darkwood staff. Learning spells is also really cool because you get to see the effects of your magic. Fate is an entirely different realm. I absolutely can't stop playing it!

Download a demo from Yahoo Games. Try before you buy.

The demo is making me rethink a purchase, mostly because of the kiddie graphics and top down only view. I give it four stars because it is entertaining, but it's doubtful I'd play this for very long--and I really enjoy RPGs like Gothic 2 or Vampire Bloodlines.

Mindless Repetition

So much promise, so many cool weapons and spells, but then it is the same thing, over and over and over again. The game is ONLY level after level of dungeon with perhaps 7 different atmospheres that cycle. This game had so much potential but after about 5 levels of the dungeon you've seen pretty much everything. Get something else.

Poor copy of Diablo

I was very disappointed with Fate. It is basically Diablo rehashed. The controls aren't as smooth and when you get back to town you have to wonder all over to accomplish basically getting new quests and selling loot. I didn't find anything particularly worth while about the game, the pet is a twist but big whoop. Just another dungeon game.

The graphics are fine. The game seemed to run fine. I suppose if you liked Diablo but didn't care for the dark aspect of it, you may like Fate better. Seems more cheerful.

fun entertaining.

Fate - An Exciting and Adictive Game

This game has given my daughter and I hours of fun. She is having a hard time getting up for school the next day because of it. The only down fall is that I wish you could use a game pad controller instead of the keyboard. Other than that, the game is very exciting and draws you in.

Great Beginner Game!

I have been playing PC RPG games for a while now, but I was getting a little tired of the usual drab dreary overly serious dungeon stuff. Fate is a nice change from that. It is simple, easy to use and you can get up and running and playing the game fairly easily. I especially like the play with a pet feature, it definitely added a new dimension to the game and I found a simple pleasure in just fishing and feeding the fish to my pet to see what it would turn into! On the down side, by the time you get to level 46-50 to complete the game, you are fairly bored with killing things, (can those Yeti's get any bigger?)taking their stuff and selling it to get more stuff. But all in all it was a nice respite from the dark side.

Ridiculously addictive.

At first I thought this game was a little cartoonish, the graphics are a bit childish. But it is a ridiculously addictive, fun little game. Nothing pretentious or earth shattering, just an immensely playable, entertaining and involving RPG game.

Game Great but Amazon Shipping slow!

My teens love this game. However, apparently Amazon now gives a punishment for "free" shipping by waiting two to three weeks to ship after your order is paid for. I don't think much of that.
