This game was a lot more fun many years ago when it was state of the art. now the graphics look average and the gameplay is weak. it is very cheap however to buy

A near-real war game

A good game, where you manage air , ground and naval units, many fights, but after you block the enemy's first attack, you can easily win.

Its graphics are better than the game itself, but the game is amusing and nice.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST RTS GAMES!!!!!!!!

This is one of the best games. It is difficult but very fun. You have a wide randge of wepons. I usally play only skirmishes, because I think they are the most fun. I have not been able to find it in other places. It has a good price, and good game play You should buy it if you want a real-time strategy game.

GREAT Game!

This is one of the best military strategy games I've played. I rarely get out of first person shooters, but this is one that had me glued to it. While there are some elements that are not realistic (bridges re appearing, units getting stuck, etc.), the game itself makes up for that more than enough.

Being able to take modern military technologies and apply them to an advanced enemy is very entertaining, and leaves the player with an outstanding knowledge of the capabilities of the U.S. Military.

Totally awesome game!

This is a great strategy game with air, land , and sea combat units. Good grahics.
It is a challenge to defeat your enemies. Choose from two different armies with different units.
The flight of the planes is very realistic.
Overall this game is great.

BEST GAME FOR PC

This has got to be the best game for pc. It is extremely entertaining and has great graphics. There are so many different units and buildings you won't be able to remember them all. The only problem with the game is that it takes too long to load, but the loading is worth it. Best of all, you dont have to mine for resources or money, unlike on starcraft and other RTS games a helicopter flys in and brings you money to build units and buildings. This game will surely keep you entertained for...years! It is worth every penny and I highly reccomend this game and the sequel too.

OK

This game is OK. It could be better. First, the Units get stuck
and they can't move. Then I have to destroy it and buy a new one. I also don't like how long it takes to load. The graphics are good though. There is not enough missions. Only 24, that sucks. It would be alot better if there were more levels. The last level for the US is the best. I hate how the computer always rebuilds the bridges. The vehicles are good. I would seriously recomend the COMAND & CONQUER series.

My two cents worth

Real War is a good game but has a few bugs to work out. Tanks and people get stuck and sometimes go to the end of the map before going where you tell them. Earning money is a plus in the game instead of harvesting spice or whatever you have a supply chopper supply you with money. Buildings have very good detail but hard to place and some building have to go next to another. You have a limited # of units you can build. When the games get fixed will be a great game but it looks like the developers were in a hurry to get out the product before testing it and maybe trying to beat Command and Conquer's Generals which is suppost to be excellent. Hope this was helpful. IF you get this game make sure to update the game to work better.

Don't even bother!

Whatever you do, leave this game alone. supposedly based off the U.S.'s military strategy sim, this game is awful. Units don't behave accurately (i.e. rifleman taking out tanks with their assault rifles), A.I. pathfinding is horrendous, and the game is filled with bugs, from simple sound loops to full blown system crashes. Real War's only saving grace is the cameos from Lee Ermie and the resource gathering system. Real War is nothing like real war, and is a waste of money.

So much potential...

Real War is a great idea... I've never gotten into most other RTS because the units are always too faniciful or sci-fi... but RW gives you modern American units like the A-10 Warthog, F-117 Stealth Fighter, the MA1 Abrahms main battle tank, the Nimitz Class Aircraft Carrier, the Seawolf Class Submarine, Army Rangers, Navy Seals, and tactical nukes against real world foreign units like the Eurofighter fighter-bomber, the Kilo Class Diesel-Electric Sub, the T-80 Soviet Tank, the Hind Attack Chopper, guerilla and terrorists troops, and SCUD missles loaded with nerve gas. This alone makes the game something new although the graphics, sound, and gameplay are pretty far behind the C&C and other similiar series of games.
